Online Purchase - Online Tickets Purchase Scam

Scammer attempted to sell tickets to sold out Sleep Token concert at Xfinity Mobile (formerly Wells Fargo) center September 24, 2025 via tiktok and exchanged phone numbers. Said they would email the ticketmaster tickets upon receipt of payment. Wish I saw other posts about this scammer before sending funds. I was uncertain but at first it did not appear to be anything illegitimate. The seller was able to obtain my name, funds, and email. I’ve reported this to my banks as fraud. And blocked the scammer’s phone number which appears to be based out of Massachusetts, USA. Please be careful and if something seems off, just decline.

Online Purchase - Online Tickets Purchase Scam

We wanted to purchase weekend tickets. We found someone selling tickets from TikTok. We confirmed he had the tickets on Ticketmaster. After we paid for the tickets and the VIP ticket fee he then went and said that we needed to pay a 500$ insurance fee. We thought it was a bit sketchy and did a little bit of research and saw something about an insurance fee, So we paid for the 500$ but then he said “oh you need to pay insurance for both tickets”. And then we didn’t wanna pay that much so we then went ahead to ask for a refund but he won’t not give me the money back.

On May 2, 2025 I spoke with Tamara Brantley Davis, CEO of a nonprofit by the name of edÚcate Higher Academy. Ms. Davis claimed she had a contract/connection with Live Nation and Ticketmaster to obtain concert tickets to see Kendrick Lamar and Chris Brown perform at Sofi Stadium. Each ticket was $150 for either concert and was advertised as scholarships for the children. I made payments via CashApp on May 2nd and May 12th and was told that I would receive a link from Ticketmaster with the tickets. I sent her $1050 and never received tickets for either event. I have been calling and texting since May 2nd to get the status and kept receiving excuses and delays. I was told that refunds would be initially distributed on May 24-27, 2025 from the accounting team at Live Nation. As of today, June 4, 2025 the money has not been refunded. Ms. Davis has only continued to give excuses and delays with no accurate information given.

"The order you placed with TicketSmarter is confirmed! This e-mail, however, is not your tickets. You can expect your seller to have your tickets by Fri, Aug 15 and send them to you that day or the next available ship day." I ordered tickets for a concert which is on August 16, 2025. After all was filled out and completed, this was the message I received on the confirmation email. I called, left a message to call me. They did and I missed it. I called back at ###-###-#### caller ID (recording everyone busy) getting nowhere, left my number again. I then called my credit card company who said to call them back in three days as it has not posted. I told her I am concerned because of the message above. SHE misread when she said "Ticketmaster" and I said NO! You did the same thing I did! To be clear, if the seller EXPECTS to have the tickets on the 15th, there is NO WAY I would get them before the concert the next day. Thank you!

After being charged $689 Canadian for $300 tickets I looked into my purchase. When I found out I was directed to the tickets on sale.com website instead of ticketmaster. I realized the issue. Online Purchase - Ticketmaster Imposter Scam

There is full blown fraud happening with Ticketsmarter event sales. They promote tickets to events on Facebook and use Ticketmaster as the attracting link and then when you click the date and time, it directs you to their site, you fraudulently are led to purchase tickets, and they wait until the day of the show and tell you the seller does not have them and they force you into seats with obstructed views or refuse to offer seats in general and do not deliver the original product. They have left hundreds of people in the lurch without tickets, some who spend thousands of dollars to travel out of town. I spent $2,000 to travel to Denver; Colorado and they never sent the tickets that were purchased and forced us to accept obstructed view tickets when we requested a refund. This is a full bait and switch operation. I see hundreds of complaints adding up online detailing identical situations and I would like to report this to get them stopped. Online Purchase - Online purchase

I unfortunately fell victim to a concert ticket scam. I was looking to purchase tickets for a concert tomorrow, 11/10/24. Found a seller on the Facebook website. They confirmed images of the tickets, even provided a 2nd screenshot showing apps minimized to show our convo and ticket receipt. I shared some concern about how legit the purchase would actually be, but was reassured the tickets would be transferred via Ticketmaster w resale ticket option. Did not catch onto the red flags yet. Advised apple payment ($450) would need to be provided then tickets would be sent via Ticketmaster. A!er payment was sent, they sent a screenshot from Ticketmaster saying an additional $50 would be needed to change the name on the tickets. That is when my first red flag popped up, and I googled the info via Ticketmaster and it said they would not charge a fee to transfer tickets to a new name. I asked them to send the tickets first, then I would pay the additional money needed. They then proceeded to say the $50 would need to be sent first before tickets were provided. When I asked to hop on phone call, they said they were at work until 11PM. I said I could wait, then they started to get aggressive and said they would sell to someone else. Even sent me screenshots of a convo with another buyer. They said they would send me back my money, so when I said that they could sell to the other buyer, the called me dumb and demanded I send the additional money or else I would get no tickets and they would take my money, so went into full panic mode. I immediately tried calling Apple pay to stop the transaction, who then sent me to my bank to stop the transaction - my bank then told me I would have to file a claim and to call my local police station, called the police station who then directed me to report it to this FBI website.

I replied on September 22nd to see if they were still available, and he said yes and "Venmo or Zelle work for the payment and the tickets will be transferred to you immediately you purchase them". I asked if I could buy one for $500 and he said yes. I Venmoed the money to @Lucky_Dragon who he said was his partner, MaryJane, and the account name was MaryJane Fantanilla. I sent $500 on Thursday, October 31st. He then showed me a video recording of him inputting my information into the Ticketmaster transfer section. I didn't receive the ticket for 10 minutes and then he sent me a screenshot saying that he was unable to send just one ticket and would need to send all 4 and asked for me to send the rest of the money. I told him I would not do that. He offered to refund me, I said yes, he agreed and said he would this morning. I still had not received the money after 4 hours, he said he would check with MaryJane, and two hours later I sent a request on Venmo directly. I was scammed into sending $700 for 2 tickets to the Taylor Swift concert in New Orleans. The Instagram page "erastour_resell_tickets" presented itself like a broker between sellers and buyers for Taylor Swift concert tickets. Once they contacted the seller and gave me the PayPal account to send the payment to (via friends and family bc they "didn't want to be charged a fee from PayPal"), they were supposed to transfer the tickets into my Ticketmaster account. That never happened. They (the Instagram page) claimed that they suddenly were having issues with the seller ([email protected]). They said the seller wanted to sell all 4 tickets that they had at one time, instead of the 2 that was initial agreed upon, and I made sure to get confirmation that the seller was only selling me the 2 tickets. Erastour_resell_tickets then tried to convince to just buy the remaining 2 tickets and the seller would be happy and would then approve the transfer of the tickets to my Ticketmaster account. It was at that point that I realized I was being scammed and immediately asked for a refund. They said no problem and that they would contact the seller. The refund never came and the Instagram page blocked me. I am so livid and frustrated bc I was simply trying to surprise my wife with the tickets she had been dreaming about.

On 9/4/2024 I was trying to buy tickets on TicketMaster.com via Klarna, however, both sites seemed to be acting wonky; going to payment then starting process all over again. I decided to try again 9/5/2024, but once I got to payment I decided to check my account to make sure funds were available. That’s when I saw a Klarna payment that was taken out from TicketMaster. I then checked my email for a confirmation of payment or the tickets, there was nothing. I did a Google search for TicketMaster and +1 (866) 581-6323 came up first so I chose this one to call. The man over the phone said in order to refund the Klarna payment he would have to cancel it and rebook my tickets with a TicketMaster or Target gift card and for my inconvenience the tickets would be $250 instead of the $378. I went to the store, got the gift card, read him off the numbers and after being put in hold multiple times because “Target gift cards take a bit longer than TicketMaster gift cards,” the phone eventually hung up after being on the call for 1hr and a half. I called back multiple times requesting a refund and was either hung up on or yelled at. A “supervisor” Adam Barrett was trying to convince me to go buy another gift card for $250 to receive a refund of the previous $250 and I would get the entire $500 back plus my initial Klarna payment. I did not do this and I disconnected the call. This business, TicketSqueeze, maintains a website that is branded for the venue with misleading language/branding that made it appear to be the legitimate venue, with the links to the only valid ticket sales. It also contains misleading language promising the ticket sales are the only way to avoid inflated fees. The website also shows up at the top of Google results when searching for the show's venue. After a weird, sketchy ticket delivery process, it became clear that this website and company (TicketSqueeze.com) are a reseller marketplace that had inflated the ticket price and fees by over 30%. I'm not sure the tickets are even valid, as they did not come from a legitimate company, but rather an individual. The contact phone number listed on the website goes to a completely other company (Ticketmaster) and is not even in use anymore. I'll be pursuing this further with my credit card company and the customer support.

Phishing - Phishing - Ticketmaster *SPOOFER*

I was trying to exchange my concert tickets as I had accidentally purchased the wrong date. I tried to fix the issue through the Ticketmaster app but was having hard time trying to figure out how to speak to an actual human. I searched on Google for the ticket master customer service # and unfortunately called a Ticketmaster imposter. Everything they said was very convincing and they kept reassuring me I would get my money back in a few moments. They completely cleared me out. By the time I got off the phone with them it was too late for me to exchange/return my tickets. I was too broke to even go to the concert and was only able to sell 1/2 tickets in an attempt to get my money back.

Other - Matt Slowiak-Apex Abodes Apartments

This person pretended to be my husbands friend from work. He offers 4 Taylor Swift concert tickets for $500 each. Payments are to be made through Zelle. Luckily Zelle only allows $500 to be transferred per day for new recipients. He used the email [email protected] as his Zelle account email. Once I transferred the $500 he was to transfer one ticket, but claimed Ticketmaster wouldn't allow him to break up the tickets, which got me suspicious because Ticketmaster does allow you to transfer only one. As I looked into the email account I noticed it was linked to Apex Abodes Apartments, which doesn't exist.
