6/3/24 1230pm Aptive Pest Control approached my front door while I my wife was home for her lunch break, the employee rang the doorbell and then repeatedly knocked on our front door and then started peeping through the tinted glass in the door until my wife opened the door and he started his sales pitch, she pointed to the NO SOLICITING sign and he kept selling so she said NOT INTERESTED Thank you and started to close the door when he stepped on the porch and got more aggressive telling lies that he was referred by friend/neighbor and for that will get 50% off. She again said no thanks and closed the door. He was under full video taping and his nasty comments made as he walked away was very unprofessional.Business Response

This company has door to door salesmen who do not follow the no solicitor rule in our town. Tonight was the third time that that rang our doorbell at 8PM when we have just gotten our young child down to sleep. Now shes awake. This is extremely infuriating how they completely disregard the no solicitor sign right on the front door.Business Response

We entered into a service contract with Aptive Environmental for insect/pest control for our new home (new to us) in August of 2023. We did not have insect issues and wanted to maintain that. The initial service was good from Aptive. A regular maintenance treatment was scheduled for April 15th 2024. The appointment was canceled and rescheduled for April 23rd. The tech did not show on time and asked to come later in the evening and spray inside the house while our small children were home and we declined due to risk to children. Since then, the appointment has been rescheduled over and over again (5 times) with promises to make the next appointment that never materializes in an actual treatment. They last scheduled appointment resulted in a phone call from a tech that said they were on the way, should arrive in approximately 30 minutes, never showed, and then we received an email stating the appointment had been rescheduled again. I now have ants crawling across my desk while I'm trying to work (while typing this email). I contacted Aptive today and customer service cannot tell when someone is coming to provide treatment, only when my next scheduled appointment is. They cannot get anyone from operations to provide an answer or expedite service that is nearly two months past due. Their website says we should receive service during the of April to October every ***** days. Our last service was February 13th. Today is June 5th. Please help.Business Response

I negotiated a 12 month service that was to be 5 treatments. The first treatment was great, however after this first application I had nothing but trouble. The service provider did not perform the treatment as advertised, They would walk around the house, spayed a little here and there and then sit in their vehicle up to the 15 minutes then leave. I was charged $130. Each time. I called several times to complain. They sent a service provider back out on 3 occasions however I never saw a difference, I still had ants, wasps, hornets, and spiders. I called to tell the company I did not want that further service when they were going to spray for bugs in November and I negotiated a final treatment for the end of April. They came out the beginning of May from a final spay. I told the rep I no longer wanted treatment after this. he told me they let someone go because she had too any complaints and because she would sit in her truck rather than ***** as she was supposed to. He did the exact same thing. He was supposed to pick up an rodent trap they put down at the first visit but he didnt even do that. Today I received an text that I an scheduled with a treatment on. June 7 not even a month has passed since the last treatment. I called the company to let them know I did not sign for another year and did not want their service. I was told I had signed a contract for 24 months. this is not true. I did not sign for 24 months and have told them repeatedly since they have not delivered as promised I did not want them to come back to my house. I was told I would have to pay out the contract. This is ridiculous. They are stealing my money. I am so angry.. please help. All I want is for then to leave me alone. If there is a contract for 24 months I did not sign it and I want it voided. It was $650 for 5 treatments and they want $650 more. Thank you *********************Business Response

I have a no soliciting sign near my doorbell and would like to be not bothered by this business. They are persistent and pushy. I do not want or need their services and would like them to stop bothering me.Business Response

Aptive will not let me close the account and is requesting a $199 precharge for closing when they didn't deliver the services that I've already paid for. I was never given a hard copy of my rights and contract because it was door to door sell. They didn't even explain that it was a 2yr contract.Business Response

I was not satisfied with the results of their treatments for pest control. I attempted to cancel my service with them and it was ridiculously difficult and not possible. The said I could put the account on hold for six months and if I decided to use them again to call. I did not call as I did not want any services from them. I received an email for a service appointment 6 months later. I called to cancel the appointment and to make sure that the account is cancelled. They refused to cancel with a payment made for a service I did not want. They would not cancel the service appointment or account. I advised them that I would be reporting them to the BBB and she still refused to cancel the account. I was told I had to pay ****** to cancel the account. This is extortion. I contacted them in Aug and they refused to cancel the account. They sent a serviceman out 2 more time at no charge. I explained again in January that I wanted to cancel the account. They put the account on hold. Today, I am told I have to pay to cancel the account. I will also be reporting this company to my states consumer affairs *****Business Response

We had a door-to-door salesman come to our home trying to sign us up for the service and they offered a discount for the initial service and an 18 month agreement. The salesman explained that the treatment was safe for pets after one hour and portrayed the company to be ethical and in good moral standing. However, it was never explained to us that the company had their BBB accreditation revoked and after seeing multiple reports of their treatment possibly causing illness in pets, I am concerned that one of our dog's precipitous health decline is partially related to these treatments. When I call and explain this to the reps, they still wish for me to pay a $199 early termination fee even though the initial agreement was not made in good faith. When asking to speak to a supervisor, they simply relay the same information as the standard customer service rep: **** they are unable to waive that fee and they can only cancel and charge the fee or continue service.Business Response

This company will market and solicity homes even when they have no solicitying signs. There is neighborbood groups that have hundreds of complaints on this company. They will knock on doors relentlessly and will ignore no soliciting signs. This company needs to be contacted to learn the laws.Business Response
