Representatives from this company continuously harass and are disrespectful to people when knocking on their doors to attempt sales. We have encountered violations of commercial solicitation law in our city, including refusal to obtain permit, refusal to wear permit visibly, refusal to abide by solicitation hours, and refusal to abide by no soliciting signs.Business Response

Yard surrounding the house was last "serviced" on 06/26/25. I have a black wasp infestation on the back porch which I asked to be treated. Wasps started the last few months and have remained at same levels. I called back 4 times to get retreated. On recorded lines they said they could get someone out to treat this week and they would call me back to confirm. Each time it didn't happen. Each time I spoke to a representative, they said they had no notes. I finally called to cancel on 07/09/25 which they said they processed but would not send me a confirmation email of the cancellation --which is odd since I have received multiple emails and texts for everything else as my time as an Aptive customer. I asked for a refund for the previous treatment since it didn't work. The representative said they would provide me a refund and I asked to be transferred to their manager to confirm. The manager then said Aptive does not issue refunds and would have to put in an escalation request to email my cancellation confirmation. The manager than said in the notes that the previous representatives had told me there was no available date in the next week to reservice my house - to which I told her to pull up those recorded calls so she could hear the contrary. She then said she would "escalate" and I would hear back in 48 hrs and had no direct line for me to call back in 48 hrs, should I hear nothing. The company scams customers by having ineffective pest treatment, not basing their call center in the US so there is a significant language barrier and lack of being able to reach local person(s) who do the treatment. I request a refund only of the last treatment --that is more than fair for the overall poor service over time and waste of money.Business Response

Initial service was incomplete. Was only at my house under 30 min. She did not do all of the quoted and promised areas and she made me feel as if I was bothering her. I call to complain and do not want them to come back, I was very upset. Paid them the $119 and since I don't want them coming back they are charging me an additional ty ion $199. I did sign a contract but since they breached the contract I am not paying that additional amount. They said they have the invoice and if I don't pay it will go to collections.Business Response

This business continues to send salespeople to my house despite me asking them to stop, despite me having to call the local police on one of their salesmen who refused to leave my property, and despite a prominent no soliciting sign on my front door. They are actively violating city municipal codes, which have been reported to Code Enforcement today for citation. Salesmen are aggressive and inappropriate, they need to stop coming as this is now becoming a harassment issue.Business Response

Do NOT recommend Aptive. They promised the world when the sales guys came out but have failed to deliver. They said they would schedule appointments with me so I can keep my animals inside, instead they give a window of an ENTIRE DAY, not the 2hr window sales claimed. We had chickens penned up for the entire 90degree day only to have them show at almost 6pm.
They did not follow instructions and wound up leaving dead mice in my shed. They didn't remove the dead mice, nor did they place new traps. I tried texting and calling them only to get an overseas call center that had no idea what was happening.
After several days of trying to get them to fix their visit, all they did was schedule the next treatment a week later, again with no timeframe other than 8-5 which is not acceptable.
I'm in the process of trying to cancel my service and insisting on a refund for their job not done. It's almost impossible to talk to someone and if you do, it's an overseas call center.Business Response

Signed a 2 year contract with Aptive for $89 plus tax ($106) for mosquito treatment in the summer (March-Sept) They got sneaky and greedy, doubled the price to $180 ($211 with tax). Then they started charging me IN THE WINTER (Oct-Feb) for "mosquito treatments". so it went from a 6 month cycle to 12 month cycle, charging me every single month, even in the winter WHEN NO ONE WAS COMING HERE TO SPRAY FOR ANYTHING. just a classic example of a greedy company trying to get all the money they can. i just waited out the contract and then canceled. buyer beware. shady company.Business Response

I started this service in 05/2024 and paid $99 into rate for first month and $180 monthly thereafter. I was told by the agent that signed us up that if we didn't like the service and wanted to cancel then we would have to pay a prorated penalty of $199 because the normal intro rate is $299. It was clearly explained that the penalty of $199 would be prorated depending on how long we kept the service. We have found the service to be not helpful. We have continued to have pest problems that were not addressed. After 13 months of useless service, I called to cancel the service and was told that we are one treatment away from having the $199 waived, and instead we have to pay the whole amount. This is not consistent with what we were told to start as this is not prorated. I even asked to just charge the $180 for our last treatment to call it even and they refused. I was denied the opportunity to speak to a supervisor as the person answering the phone said they were Supervisor Amo and could not offer anyone else to help. This is also the third attempt I've made to cancel my service, so I would like confirmation that this is cancelled, and we're not continued to be billed. I believe my ask was more than fair considering that we're paying for a service we are not getting, we're continuing to be charged despite multiple attempts to cancel, and the explanation of the termination fee by the agent at onset.Business Response

The sales representative came to the house stated it was a 12 month contract, when we hit our 12th month they didn’t do the final treatment I then thought it was because we were not renewing, I then sent an email to confirm cancellation and they proceeded to tell me I was against the contract! The company then proceeded to withdraw $200 out of my bank account, without our consent their sales fraudulently filling out agreements while stating something different! I decided I no longer needed their service and call on 1/31/2025 to cancel. I was told that I had 4 more month of service on my contract agreement. I just notice they are still billing me $60 per month. Last charge was on 6/30/2025.Business Response
