    So let me start by saying that I live in the north east US, where ticks and Lyme are a pretty big issue. Back in June of 2021 some Aptive Environmental reps were going door to door selling their services. They would spray to treat ticks, mosquitos, fleas, and a slew of other insects. I had previously been spraying myself with something from one of the big box hardware stores, and getting OK, but not great results. My dog would still bring in the occasional tick from the yard. Surely the pros could do better. My initial service was on 6/30/21 and I have no complaints there. Indeed, the first several services went as expected. They lasted 30 to 45 minutes each, and one lasted an hour. I saw no decrease in ticks that first summer, but they had just started so we decided to wait and see. So today, 10/21/22 was our 8th service. Still have the same issue with ticks. Today's tech was here all of 10 minutes. He did not go into our back yard at all. I work from home and we have a 6 foot privacy fence that only unlocks from the inside. Most of the other techs have rang the bell so I can let the in the back. But this is the 3rd time, and I believe 3 different techs, that his has happened. To the company's credit my wife has called in the past and the company has sent someone out to complete the service no charge. But 3 out of 8 bad service calls is not an anomaly, it's a pattern. So today I called and ended up cancelling the service. Not only was I charged for $170 for a service that was less than halfway completed, but I was charged $200 early contract termination fee. Which is absurd because the only reason I terminated is because they are not holding up their end of said contract.

    Aptive Environmental was soliciting business in my neighborhood going door to door. I said I would go with their plan that was 4 treatments. The first treatment was $60 or so. I did not sign a contract. The individual selling said I will sign for you and I did not get to see it. (red flag right there!) When I got the email with the contract, I tried calling and no one answered. Terrible customer service. The fourth treatment was today. I tried to confirm with the individual doing the treatment that this was so and that is when he informed me that there were more treatments. I told him no that is not so. I specifically told McKay Berges (the fast talking salesman) that the 4 month treatment plan and no more. I was informed by Jason Wright (the individual performing the services) that Sam, the manager, would call me. I have not received a call.

    This company aptive has sent sales representatives to my front door near daily. I have posted no trespassing/no soliciting signs throughout my property and they are extremely visible. I have had these sale representatives knock over posted signs on their way to my door to ring my door ****. I have recorded countless representatives from this company blatantly ignoring any attempt to keep them off my property. I have signs posted next to the entry to my property, walk way to the front door, and directly under the door bell. When I have answered the door I advised them to leave my property at once and they become argumentative that I am not willing to hear their sales pitch. One sales representative a few weeks proceeded to yell through my door as I closed the door after telling him to leave my property. I am extremely frustrated with the harassment from this business.

    This person's address has been submitted to a no solicitation list at Aptive.   An internal sales compliance complaint form has also been filled out and submitted on their behalf.  The Area Manager has been notified to immediately alert the Sales Team of these issues.

    We’ll really where to begin is how we should start. Since day one this company has not held up their side of the agreement. The main and final straw that broke this camels back was our last service or shall we say lack there of on 9/20/22 by service representative ‘James’. We were not him when he serviced our property, however, we did leave at 4:55 to go pick up our child from practice. When we got home 5:20pm, we noticed the Aptive representative ‘James’ had arrived, serviced our property and was gone. The tag, stated 4:55 is when he sprayed…but we know that wasn’t the case, since we were here at that time. We have a Ring by the way and a neighbor who witnessed the speed of this guy. This guy showed up at 5pm and was gone by 5:15pm. Everything said here, does that seem like enough time to do the job even half way? So, you can see where we’re going with this. He only sprayed the front soffit area of our home, didn’t even take a brush (like they’re supposed too) and remove cobwebs and other bugs. Didn’t even go into our back yard. Specifically left notes for account via email and text about the spiders/webs all around our back yard deck area. Received confirmation on these requests. Our backyard was not even touched, let’s alone sprayed. No wetness anywhere in back. One email from the “manager” mentioned above asking me to email him the issue. I stated it’s way too many issue(s) and would prefer a phone call. Left my #. Never heard from him, sent another email, then another email. Finally, received an automated, I’m out of the office until 9/28. emailed him again two more times after the return to office date, 9/28. To date, this “manager” has not reached out. As of this morning, 10/6/22 I notified him via email that I would be contacting this office. I was billed $200 for that day, I want a full refund. Had the company followed up like they should have, this very local manager could have come to my property to see for himself. I want contract cancelled as well.

    I was at war with the ants over the summer I had a door solicitation. The verbal agreement with him and what I am seeing now in the contract do not align. I am out of work and this does not fit into our budget.Im having difficulty understanding the billing? The initial payment was $99 in May. Then I thought we were billed quarterly. Then I was charged $150 in June and again in Aug.Also told, they would come back if we saw a recurringbug issue, no charge between treatments. So I don'tknow why I would be charged in June after a treatment in May? I signed this contract on a tablet, in the sun, so everythingwas quickly & VERBALLY explained to me, and I never receiveda copy of the contract. I cant even verify that Im the one who signed it, and initialed the boxes, because it was done electronically, and the sales rep CLICKED ALL THE ****** The last name is ALSO misspelled on the contract. I would not have misspelled my own name if I had typed it in myself.Aptive-After reviewing your account, I see that you are on our Pro plan. Services for this plan are scheduled every ****** days. Appointments are auto-scheduled by our system based on the frequency of your plan. The May ******* was your initial *******. The June ******* was your first standard treatment. We schedule this ***** days after your initial *******. The life span of our initial products is shorter than the products used in your subscribed ************ Services because they are designed to flush out and cleanse your property of the immediate pest populations.Again, message does not match the verbal contract the sales rep at the door discussed.Emailed again. Replied I have taken the liberty of prescheduling your next 2 *******s to ensure that the frequency aligns with your expectation of *******s every 3 months.They canceled a re-treat I requested for spiders. I emailed again, did do a free retreat.Now waiting for a supervisor to call back to cancel/remove the cancel fee.

    Aptive knocked on our door and said that they could eradicate cicada killing wasps. I signed up for the service as they do major damage to our lawn. We paid them a lot of money monthly, we call and complained that the service was not working. They came out and still could not get rid of them and spread all kinds of chemicals on our lawn. We cancelled the service due to the fact that they advertised something they could not do. We did not think anything else of it until we received a collection notice from an agency. We had no idea why. Apparently, even though we offered on the phone to pay whatever balance was left they said it was too much trouble to take payment over the phone and were going to send a link. the link was never sent and then we received a collection notice for double the amount owed. I think that is pretty ridiculous for basically them committing fraud with us for the better part of a year. How to you try to collect double for services that did nothing!

    We had a customer service rep coming door to door. I listened to him and then told him to come back in 30 minutes so I could check out the company online. All of the reviews were good so I decided to sign up. I signed up with Aaptiv in June and they came out the next week. I was promised by the sales rep for a quarterly charge of $125 . He stated that I would pay the $125 for the first time spray and then they would come out 30 days later and re-spray for free. After that, they would spray after 60 days. They did a great job on the first spray and I had zero bugs inside or outside. 30 days passed and I received a text message from the tech that he would be coming out during the day. I told him I worked and I would need a time in the afternoon after 4 PM. He told me that I would have to call customer service for that. I called customer service and they sent me a text message with a new date and time after 4 PM. On July 27 no one showed up that we saw. We are a five family household with a dog outside and no one heard or saw anyone spray and do the windows at our house. They then sent me a charge of $125 even though I was promised it would be a free spray after 30 days . Then I received another bill in the mail of $125 and they said they sprayed in September. No one ever texted, emailed, or called to let me know that they were going to spray in September. We had nothing left on our door either times nor does Aaptiv have any photos showing that they sprayed in September. We have ants and bugs all around outside which proves they did not spray because we didn’t have any ants or bugs the month of July. I was told today by the billing department that I signed a contract and if I didn’t pay the $250 they would turn me into collections and then hung up. I called back and spoke to another gentleman and he was unable to help me and or resolve the issue. I am waiting on them to cancel my entire account and feel as though we have been scammed by this company.

    After my 2 year commitment was over in March 2022, I terminated the service. I was told only an account manager could do that and that person was out of the office. After calling back and being told the same, I said this is an attempted scam and I am stopping all payment on this account and have notified my bank that I will contest any further activity on this account. I have texts and emails to this effect. And here we are

    On August 28th 2022, a sales representative came to my door to promote Aptive services. I was told there was a technician in the area so the first service was offered at a discount. The first service would cost only ***** instead of $399.00 and that they would spray that day. The tech came out and did a great job. We have seen less pests and are happy to have found a service that *** seem to be working.One problem that I have is that the sales rep verbally told me that within 30 days Aptive would come out and perform a follow up service for FREE. Aptive came out on Sept. 30th but they charged me $129.00 for it, which is my regular contract rate. When I called the rep she told me that I was told wrong and that it is charged service. I texted the sales rep to find out why it wasn't free as promised and of course I received no response. After re-reading my "contract", there is no mention of the free service that I was promised, though I was verbally told.The other problem that I have is that I was told by the rep that this service is quarterly, which means 4 times per year. He asked if I had a pest company prior, how often I was paying, and confirmed that this was cheaper for me overall. After doing the math it was a no brainer. Well unfortunately they now have me scheduled in OCTOBER. This is not quarterly as I was promised. This is a way to get 6 services out of me and charge me an extra $250.00!! Yes, the contract says the services are every ****** days but that is not what I was TOLD. I even repeated back the terms of the contract before signing and he confirmed it was correct.Basically I am happy with the service provided at this point. But I want my $129.00 refunded to me for a service that I was promised would cost $0.00 and I want my services quarterly, not bi-monthly. If Aptive cannot give me what was promised I will cancel.This experience is a great example fraudulent inducement to enter into a contract at its finest!
