sales kid sold me 6 services, door to door solicitation,June to October for $75 a month. Reviewed the contract and they did a 18 month contract. Contacted customer service and they said I would have to pay $199 to terminate contract, after it was signed under false pretenses. Customer service is a bunch of bull. 4/27/2024 Aptive Environmental was in my neighborhood going door to door soliciting for business. We agreed to 4 treatments with the first one being $100 (plus tax) and the remaining $135 each (plus tax). They completed the first treatment on 04/29/2024, they spent 20 minutes at the house and sprayed. They charged us $117.25. We didn't see any improvement on the amount of insects in the house, quite the contrary. For this reason on 6/28/2024 we decided to cancel the service when they called for the next visit. The salesman completely misled me, he said that if we cancelled the service there would be a "small fee", but learned today, 6/28/2024 that this fee is $199. He also did not let me read the contract, ******* us to sign it. I would have never agreed to a $199 cancelling fee. We would like not to be charged the $199 abusive cancelling fee, or the have it refunded if they charge it.Business Response

I have asked numerous times by aptive salesmen who keep ringing my doorbell and knocking on my door to remove me from there sales lists and they all say I will be removed but yet guess what its still happening. I dont want to do business with this company and I want the constant door to door sales to cease at my house immediately. They rang my doorbell yet again not once but twice today.Business Response

Never received a copy of original contract now told we signed up for 18 months ...was told verbally $50 first treatment additional services were $159 but then charged $189 for second treatment but since there is no contract copy I can't prove it. I am rejecting this response because:The copy of the contract is not the one signed by us. The contact was signed and initialed by my wife. They have written up an entirely new contract that follows their narrative.
This is a fraudulent contract and we aren't agreeing to their terms.

2nd Complaint- The first one-I stated the fact that they stated the first treatment would be $$ and that was fine-I was told that they would come 3 months later and then after 25 days they come to the front door-and I told them-NO, do not do anything I will contact them-I was also told that they will delete the cancel ammt of ****** however-They took money from my CC in the amount of ******. I was just told that the man who came last week went ahead and did the treatment after I told him not to-so they are not returning that money due to the treatment done-I did not see anything done-and I am SO ANGRY right now -they not only don't listen to the homeowner they LIE LIE AND LIE_I want that money back-they stole that money in my opinion-and I am not letting them do this-this seems to be a practice per the guy who came that day-he said that most people have the same anger that I have -that the men don't tell the homeowners about the 30 day service-this is unacceptable... they LIE LIE LIE to the public-and I am not the only one that has notated a complaint-against this company-Business Response

6/25/2024 they showed up at our door again and not the 1st time this year and yes we have a sign on the porch no soliciting no trespassing no salesman. I reported this company last year in July for repeating coming back to our house after having problems with them in 2022 and July of 2023 they said they would not come back complaint #******** and a year later they will not stop. As a private home owner it's dangerous for them to keep coming to property when their not welcome and they said they would not come. There are signs warning them. I don't know what else a homeowner can do at this point.Business Response

One of the workers *******************'s pushed his way through my 70 year old grandparents home while they were in the midst of cooking dinner. They told him multiple times to leave that it wasn't a good time. He made his way in their house and sat down for over an hour while another man sprayed after they were told not to. Then when my grandparents were in distress and upset he gets them sign a contract (which he told her she was signing saying that they sprayed outside) Then as a desperate attempt to get them to get out of their house she gave them a check. The next morning after she processed what happened she called to cancel the contract. Of course the office was nice and was glad to cancel it. As most crooks are. Just so they can now use my grandparents account and routing number to withdrawal money from their account. She is devastated and is having to go through so much stress rn. I don't know what kind of company would think it's ok to have employees who force their way into someone's home. Helpless elderly people at that, that live alone, and harass them for over an hour after being told to leave. Then just take money out of their account. If these people are part of the Better Business Bureau I will file a claim. It's a shame that people like this can live with themselves. I know that the company doesn't care and won't do anything about it. However, I'll be sure to leave every honest bad review I can. I will file a complaint with the BBB. And I will be calling or visiting the office to let them know how upsetting it is that they treat people this way. ANYONE that asks me about this company or is considering using them I'll be sure to let them know what a scam this company is and about their rude employees.Business Response

I was approached at my home by 2 gentleman claiming to be in the neighborhood soliciting business for a pest control company. I was told the service agreement was to last through the summer up until October. I just saw the agreement in my email and it's for 12 treatments or ****************************************************************** verbally, and the agreement was on an iPad which was very difficult to read outside in the sun...this was very strategic.I have paid the $99.00 for the initial treatment, but no longer wish to continue with the remainder of the service agreement I signed. The outcome was good but definitely highly expensive with us getting charge 200$ per visit , when we called to cancel I was faced with a 200$ cancellation feed , even though it was supposed to be about 50$ per visit as per what the tech sold us .Business Response
