      7/26/24 at 6:15pm: I have a no soliciting sign on my house right next to the door. A representative from Aptive said they were working in my area and wanted to know if I had ant problems. I referenced my no soliciting sign at the door and the representative wanted to clarify if that was current b/c it could have been old and from the previous homeowner. I said no it is current. He then proceeded to show me his ipad like device and I quote, "since I have you at the door let me show you our prices" I then again said I have a no soliciting sign. After this for the 3rd time he showed me a current special they were offering and I interrupted and said no, I will not be interested and shut the door. I would like if BBB were to contact the business that they received a complaint regarding soliciting to houses with clear no soliciting if they are abiding my that and for it be of record they are in violation.

      I have paid over $280. for this pest control service. They have been to my home three times and I have more bug problems than I did before. They charge me and they do not show up on time. The last time they showed up and did not call or text or email. I rescheduled and they were supposed to call with a window of time. No one called, texted or emailed. I called to cancel my service and spoke with a rude women who did not speak very good English. She then said I needed to call from my cell phone on file even though she had my account up in front of her. I called back from my cell phone and spoke to a man, who also did not speak very good English. I was put on hold and given a supervisor. I let her know I am filing a complaint and if they charged me I will file a complaint with the ****** She then let me know she would cancel my service. The service does not work and you cannot count on anyone showing up when they say they will.

      I have been a member with aptive since 2020. At first it was just spraying the yard. Then over a year ago I asked if they had anything to do with mosquitos they did. So I offered to be upgraded to be on that plan. Since then the service was being paid for at 173$ yet was never done according to their own records. Today they came and when asked about it the agent said I would have e to pay 143$ a appointment he looked at my account and said it should have been done and I shouldn't be paying so much. This type of shady business dealing has made me lose trust in this business and I would recommend not doing any type of business with them until the do an overhaul and put their customers first and give services that they charge for.

      6/24 Aptive Environmental Services, withdrew money form my account for supposed pest control services. No service was provided., I called to cancel this quasi service and was told that a cancelation fee of $199 would be charged. I asked them to provide me with a contract for their services, no contract was provided. And they refused to cancel account. I cancelled my credit card and filed fraud charges with my bank. What a scam...Beware

      There is a huge discrepancy between what the sales person (***************) told us we would be receiving, and the services actually rendered. *** told us that we would be signing a 3-month contract for pest control, paying $55 per month, with applications happening each month. ***** on us for not asking to read the contract before he showed us the signature line on his tablet to sign. In fact, he never even gave us the option to READ the contract before signing, he just told me verbally it was for 3-months of service with the option to continue at the same rate beyond that, and showed us the signature line on his tablet. Little did we know we were actually signing up for a 2-YEAR (24 month) contract, with treatments happening every ***** days all year long, as opposed to the 3-month contract with monthly treatments he told me we were signing up for. We live in ******** - we don't need outdoor spraying for bugs in the harsh Michigan *******. Honestly, our issue with them wasn't even the service. I'll be honest, the bug spraying was effective. Our issue was the deception of the sales person with the services that were actually offered, and the fact that he blatantly "sold" me something different than I apparently signed, without showing me the contract.

      An Aptive pest control door to door salesman came to my house yesterday July 25th 2024. This was a second attempt from last fall to sell pest control. They drive to our gate in a van, then use a Segway to ride around door to door in our cul de sac, so the van is out if sight. He showed me local properties on a map of our area on his iPad, trying to ask me if I know my neighbors asking for names, that they service, trying to get me to give names out. I declined their offer but they wanted to know a time to come back I said no, just leave a flier. My husband last time told them not to use their segway because they could fall and **** My first complaint is their method of using a Segway, while hiding their van at a distance so I cant see who they are from my window, and its a lawsuit if they fall on my property. My second complaint is that they are trying to deceptively gain personal information from me and also about my neighbors, which I feel is an invasion of our privacy.

      A sales person came to My door 5/14/24 said that my neighbors were signing up for pest control and told me I could pay $50 for their first service and they would spray for bugs and that I could choose 6weeks or 8 weeks servicing for bugs and at the time of service the charges would be 60 dollars so I asked I could do it every eight weeks and the charge would be 60 and she said yes so I I'll do every 8 weeks I could afford that well they did the 1st service they was here less then 5 minutes and strayed around the perimeter of my house within a week I had all these ants coming in my home I called they said sorry and came back and sprayed a second time and even more ants and now earwigs were coming in my house I called the company again they said that was normal I said I thought your product was supposed to kill the bugs they said it takes a couple of week for it to take effect so they came 6/13/24to spray again I said I thought I could choose 8 weeks her reply was I can reschedule the next service she wasn't even here 5 minutes and she was gone I called the company to complain that they only sprayed the house but what about the yard I have ant piles all over the yard and I feel that 60 dollars was not worth what I was getting so ****** called me and said that wasn't right and he sent another man named **** out 6/20/24to service my yard I thought he did good but when I checked my charges on my cc they charged me 89 dollars I call and said no I'm only supposed to be charged $60 they said he couldn't change my charge but he would give me a 29 credit for the next service so they scheduled my next service 7/ 29th they charged my cc $31 7/15 so they are charging me every month I called to complain they said that's in my contract i didnt get a contract I but the rep told me for each service not every month I feel this company lied to me they didn't tell me there was a cancelation fee nothing is was she told me now they are charge me 199 I was not told that it a ripoff

      A month ago, a pest control person came to my door and asked if he wanted me to spray our yard for ticks for $50. I agreed, paid the $50 and he sprayed the yard. The next day, I saw that the company tried to bill my card a second time for an additional $50. I went on the website and saw that they had me scheduled for weekly sprays at $100 that I never agreed to. The website wouldn't allow me to remove these appointments, so I had to call in my card as lost so that they would stop billing my card without my permission. The past month, I have received text messages from a different phone number telling me they are on their way to spray our yard, and every single day I tell them to not come or I will call the police. And every single day they still text that they are coming that day. No matter what I do or say, I cannot get them to leave me alone. I need assistance in blocking these people from my yard. I will get a restraining order against them if I have to.

      Was contacted via door-to-door salesman.We agreed to a one time service so I could evaluate the results. Next I received an email with my FORGED initials and signature for a multi-year contract. I never was shown the salesman's iPad, never initialed or signed anything! This entire conversation on my ring security camera. I called 2 phone numbers associated with this business explaining this deceptive and unscrupulous business practice and informed them of my intent to *** if this contract was not voided immediately and I received an email confirming the cancellation. The representative said would take ***** hours to send confirmation but verbally they said the contract was canceled. This event occurred on 23 July 2024. A representative did come and perform a service and my credit card was charged as originally agreed to.Deceptive, unethical business practices, forgery and deceit - need I say any more!NEVER USE THIS BUSINESS! It's no wonder they are not accredited with the BBB.

      Sales person told me that the contract for the service is paid after every visit and I can also reschedule the service, without disclosing to me that there is a $199 cancellation fee.After calling customer service to cancel the service, the customer service finally told me about the cancellation fee, and press me multiple times to look at the service contract.Leaving out the important details about the cancelation fee seems like a very dishonest business practice to me. I would like to cancel the contract without the fee.
