      Aptive "sold" me services, door to door solicitation, without collecting a signed consent for contract.. Reviewed the contract and they did a 18 month contract. Contacted customer service and they said I would have to pay $199 to terminate contract, after it was signed under false pretenses. I live in ** and do NOT need outside pest control done in the winter! As I've cancelled account, but due for 199. I've attempted to make partial payments online- Not able to do so- also receiving calls all the time from Aptive. I no longer wish to pay them anything, and really, not worried about my credit score!

      I have had multiple negative interactions with Aptive salesmen. Each time we have told the salesmen we are not interested and please do not come back. I have a large, very obvious DO NOT RING THE DOORBELL and NO SOLICITING sign, which all of the salesmen have ignored. *** called both corporate and the **************** asking to be removed from any lists or marked as a house that you do not go to, which clearly didnt happen. I cannot believe someone has the audacity to do door-to-door sales at 8:30 pm on a Friday, which was tonight and the most recent incident of three incidents. They are pushy, inconsiderate, and rude. One of the salesmen even refused to leave my property! All I want is for the company to flag my address as a house to not solicit at. This is effecting my childrens sleep and making me uncomfortable in my own home.

      Incident occurred on 7/31/2024 at 4:50pm PT. There is a No Solicitation sign prominently placed on the front door stating NO Solicitation - Do NOT Disturb. Reporting aggressive and harassing behavior from the door-to-door sales *** who disregarded the sign that was right in front of him and proceeded to bang on the door and ***eatedly rang the doorbell. I eventually responded via intercom and asked him to leave and he kept saying I can't hear you while ringing the doorbell. I request to no longer be contacted by this business. I have no preexisting business relationship with Aptive.

      A Door to door pest control salesperson used high pressure tactics on me. We had minor pest issues. He told me I could easily cancel at any point. I was charged $50 at a promo cost. There is a $199 cancellation fee which he did not disclose. The contract is on my phone, which makes it difficult to read and understand. I would like it cancelled for no cost.

      Initiated request for service from Aptive for certain types of Bugs outside of residence. i.e. Box Elder bugs and ants. Representatives arrived and explained that I could accept a treatment application at a cost of $74,20 on 5/2/24. Twenty days later a second application was applied and I received billing of $147.34 which had not been explained properly by the first representative. Therefore, I called and cancelled any further treatment and any continued service or further billing. I have been sent billing for an additional $199.00 which would total $420.54 for two applications. Upon calling to complain of the additional billing after cancelling on 5/22/24, I was told they would discontinue further treatment and service. In other words they would have continued treatments after I had cancelled on 5/22/24. The new billing for the additional $199.00 is accompanied with failure to pay would result in a collection service, The whole excessive billing accompanied with accumulative continued billing after cancelling is underhanded business practices. I am forced with having to pay small amounts ($25.00/mo) until the $199 is paid in full so my credit isn't put in jeopardy. I wish to be refunded the amounts paid by checks after today's date (7/30/24) in excess of $221.54.

      Aptive sends a notice about early termination fee being due and if not paid threatens to forward the so called "due" to debt collection agency. I do not even have service with Aptive! Over a year ago I terminated service with them and they confirmed via email that my account is zero balance due.

      I believe that this company is a scam. I signed up a couple of months ago and now I can't get out of my contract until it ends. A man came to my door & pitched me on the sale, saying a lot of my neighbors also signed up so if I sign up today the technician is in the neighborhood and can come in an hour and the first service is $40. He said they offer a great discount per month, way lower than the competition. I was working from home that day, my husband wasn't home so I SPECIFICALLY asked the salesperson "18 months is a long commitment for $118 per month, so if my husband wants to cancel, can we cancel in a few months or are we locked into the 18 months?" and he repeated back to me " you can cancel anytime as long as you cancel a few days before your next scheduled visit." I said, "is there a fee?" and he said "no, as long as you continue with this service today so I don't have a sale and a cancel the same day" and we both giggled. I thought no harm no foul, if I don't want to continue, I spend $40 and I can cancel.... NOPE. I was debating canceling bc I didn't notice a drastic change in bugs and it's expensive. Well, today I noticed an UNAUTHORIZED pending charge for this month's service WHICH DID NOT HAPPEN YET! I was told I would not get charged until the tech COMPLETES the service! I thought this was sketchy and wanted to cancel. I told customer service I want the refund and to cancel. They said that there's a $200 fee to cancel. I told them the *** told me there was no fee and they just shrugged and said it's in the contract... MIND YOU THE CONTRACT IS JUST SIGNING ON AN IPAD AND THE FINAL COPY IS EMAILED TO YOU... YOU CANNOT REVIEW FULLY BEFOREHAND. Spoke to a supervisor- they confirmed the best they can do is lower my service to $97, make it 12 months & make the service 6 months apart. This is going to do absolutely nothing for pest control so I'm still out $200 essentially. I got the refund for the unauthorized charge but want to cancel without the $200 fee.

      Had services performed on 7/2/24. Specific pest / areas that were addressed and agreed to with the salesman, were later not followed up on by pest controller. Tried to cancel my services and any future appointments on 7/30. Since we were not happy with services provided nor did we feel comfortable with this contract. I was then told we had passed the 3 day ***** period for cancellation and that it would be $199 to cancel, or they gave me several cheaper options to stay with the contract and pest services. We were not satisfied with the services performed why would I want to stay with this company? I just want to cancel and be done with them, not have a free rescheduling or a cheaper service that already doesnt work.

      On or about July 6, 2024 a man claiming to represent Aptive Environmental came to our house, and used hard sell tactics and would not accept no for an answer as to whether we wanted to use their services. He kept on lowering the price of the initial service, which I finally agreed to, But he never mentioned that There would be a $199 cancellation fee if we ever wanted to stop the service. He also mentioned that there would be four treatments in 12 months, but then they scheduled two treatments within the first 3 weeks of our signing up. It all seems very shady to me and I would like to cancel. without a cancellation fee as what was represented versus what is happening seems very different.

      Ineffective corporation claiming unlimited returns and resprays for pest control. In reality they consistently cancel and reschedule appointments. Since booking their service in April, theyve only come out 3 times. Indoor and outdoor mosquitos, fruit flies, ants, wasps and beetles continue to be a problem. The company is ineffective at customer service, at pest control, and only maintains business through locking users into a year long contract which they cant adequately fulfill.
