      On or about March 20, 2024 a man claiming to represent Aptive Environmental came to my house, and used hard sell tactics and would not accept no for an answer as to whether I wanted to use their services. After lowering the price of the initial service from $359 to $40, I finally agreed. It was never mentioned that there would be a $199 cancellation fee if I ever wanted to stop the service. He also said that there would be four treatments in 12 months, but then they scheduled two treatments within the first 3 weeks of me signing up. I called them up after receiving the first treatment and told them I had more pests in my house after that treatment than I previously had and I wanted to cancel. I was told that was normal and they would come out and do a retreatment. I was adamant about wanting to cancel but they wouldn't let me. After the 2nd retreatment I again called and said I wanted to cancel that I was not happy with the service/product. It was in that conversation I was told I would have to pay $199.00 to cancel. I just moved into my home in the ********** area from ********** Oct 2023 as a recent widow. I was not at all familiar with this company and I feel their sales tactics and transparency are an issue. I just want to cancel my service free of charge. I do not want their product or service.

      Aptive salesman came to my door offering service.
      They gave me details of service and claimed that I have neighbors in service agreement.
      I said not interested declined service multiple times, each time I declined he came back with lower price point. Finally I gave in feeling bullied into service agreement. First treatment was $30 then recurring treatment rocket to$170 for 24 months.
      I have mental health issues that I can easily get sucked in on scheme like this, did not ever want service.
      Called to cancel, told customer service agent I wanted to cancel. He immediately tried badgering me into lower price point again, yelled I just want to cancel still gave another offer before processing canceling .
      Cancelation free another $199 due to contract.
      Is this only way you can get service customer by badgering people .
      Believe to be a scam.

      This company solicited in my neighborhood which the HOA doesn't allow first of all. They sold a service to me that kills spiders and insects on the property. The day after this treatment was done, my grass turn brown in major focal areas. The grass burned up and was killed to the root. They claim that they're insecticide does not harm the grass. However right after they applied it to my grass it killed it. I don't care if they say it doesn't harm plants because I know it was as a direct result of the chemicals they used. I'm guessing the product was highly concentrated and mixed wrong. They told me that there is citric acid in it, so common sense tells you the fescue grass will burn up in the heat with that product. They told me to get a soil sample in which I did. The results could take several months.
      And they told me that their product would not kill plants. Which is wrong dog urine will kill grass because it's acidic and so is the product they used. I would just like for them to repair the areas that they killed. Have attempted to reseed the areas and it will not grow, because they contaminated the soil. I even have timed irrigation that comes on every other day at 5 am, my grass was beautiful before they visited my property. The neighbors are commenting on is to what happened. Nobody's yard in my neighborhood has large dead areas like mine. I've lived here 5 years and never had this happen to me. This incident destroyed my whole main focal point in my front yard. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

      A salesman came to my door on July 10, 2024 selling pest control services. Spraying my property for bugs. I asked if there would be a senior discount and he said yes and quoted me a price of $108.00 per application. I asked if this price would increase after the contract was up and he said, No, this price will stay the same. There was never another cost amount mentioned. They also quoted me an astronomical amount of money if I chose to cancel thei services. They sprayed my house and charged my credit card $108.78. On August 3rd, Aptive sprayed my house again. My credit card was charged $152.73. This is $43.95 more than I was quoted. I contacted Aptive by text message regarding the overcharge and a representative named **** responded that the $108.00 quote was just for the initial application and all subsequent treatments would be $151.68. I replied that this is not true! Their representative quoted me a price of $108.00 and all subsequent applications were also to be $108.00. Instead of answering me, I was sent an email saying Hello *****! This is Rianne from Aptive Environmental, your pest control service. How can I help you today. Thank you for messaging us today. For further assistance, please respond with 0.I replied and attached the entire text feed and got a response from Will who asked me how he could assist me today. I told him he was the 3rd ****** who had responded asking me how he could assist me today but none ever do. He replied that he brought this up to our managers . . . my apologies, but I assure you this will be taken care of. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.No one has responded to me.This company is certainly not a reputable company. I would like to cancel their service without being charged the astronomical amount they charge for cancellation.

      After speaking with a sales person who kept changing prices on me, he had me sign a document without telling me there was a $200 cancellation fee. The business sprayed the outside, which wasn't told to me upon sale and we have a pest problem inside that they haven't taken care of. Our problem has gotten worse and they've locked us into a contract they're forcing us to pay to get or of.

      After more than a year of numerous complaints to Aptive Environment’s about their lack of flexibility in scheduling extermination service at my home, I told them would like to termination my service and go with another company. They replied that was there is a $199.00 fee to terminate my service. I do not remember ever being told of this penalty when I signed up with Aptive Environmental, and I do not remember signing anything contract with such a statement. Now, Aptive Environmental has sent me a Notice for collection of a $199.00 fee with treats of sending it to a collection agency. I do not believe they have a right to collect a $199.00 termination fee for poor service.

      On or about May 9 2024 a man claiming to represent Aptive Environmental came to our house, and used hard sell tactics and would not accept no for an answer as to whether we wanted to use their services. He kept on lowering the price of the initial service, which I finally agreed to, But he never mentioned that There would be a $199 cancellation fee if we ever wanted to stop the service. He also mentioned that there would be four treatments in 12 months. But it was not clear that I was going to be billed a monthly rate, regardless of the service date.

      Unfortunately, I signed up the day of meeting, but he did not clarify the terms of the agreement. Just showed the signing boxes.

      It is poor business practice, which amounts to large amounts of money for very little product and time. I would like to cancel. without a cancellation fee as what was represented versus what is happening seems very different.

      We were given the verbal assurance that if we engaged the pest control services of the above mentioned company we could cancel at anytime. We no longer require their services and are now being asked to pay a cancellation fee of $199.00. This we view as deceptive and illegal, and are therefore seeking to engage your assistance in search of an amicable resolution.

      I was misled by the salesman who told me that the initial service would only cost $89 if I signed a 1 year contract. I then was charged $169. When I asked to cancel the contract I was told there would be $199 cancelation charge. I want to cancel this contract without and charge without any further contact from this company.

      On July 29, 2024 a man representing Aptive Environmental came to our house, and used hard sell tactics to sell their services. We just moved in and agreed to the services. After the initial treatment we contacted customer service with the complaint that they initial services promised were not performed as promised. Only partial of what was contracted was completed. We wanted out immediately, if you cannot get the first service right there is no way we are staying for a contracted 18 months. After missing the 3 day cancellation window by just days, they added a cancellation fee to the account. We only had one service performed, it was not completed in full with the services agreed and they refuse remove the cancellation fee from the account.
