      We have Aptive for Bug service, the last time they were out I let them know that there were still spiders and bugs in the house and the garage, they never came back to spray inside the house. This has happened twice since we got the service in July, I let them know I was cancelling because they did not abide by the contract and failed to provide the service that stated I would receive. The charged my credit card without my consent

      Last week of May24, an Aptive guy signed me up for pest control service. Per what he said,technician was supposed to clean cobwebs in&outside, apply chemicals to keep various bugs from entire property including front/backyard; if any bugs are noticed they will retreat free of cost. When technician came for first visit I was busy;I asked him to treat only outside. After 1 week my kid got bitten by yellow jacket. Then I noticed a huge wasp nest under the deck.I called to check how he couldn’t see wasp nest and spider webs present. Lady on phone said she will send someone free of charge and technician will apply chemicals inside also. On the day of technician visit, he sends SMS saying he is at property. I immediately rushed out to find none. I called him & he says he has left the property after treating it from outside. When I asked why he didnt ring doorbell/call me to treat inside the house, says "instructions did not say that he needed to treat inside".I called them on 15th Jul asking what is going on? Then call center lady says she will send someone again free of charge. At this point I couldn’t trust their words and asked them to cancel service. After the call I noticed they have charged my account on 15th Jul for $139 and I thought that was end of it. Yday I got automated SMS that they have scheduled technician visit for 30Aug.I called on 29Aug to realize that they can't cancel my account without consent from manager. After 30mins of conversation where call center lady was repeating usual lies (I will send someone free of charge, I can give you discount etc).Finally she says she can cancel if she can charge my card $199.I still have ants crawling yard, wasps hovering around. Without giving any service how can they ever charge my card? Why do they send agents to verbally say something and do something else in background? I want other residents to be alert about this company. I want to get my money back as they did NOT provide any service so far.

      On June 24th, 2024, their salesman, Bradon Ritchie, came to my front door offering pest control services, which I was in need of. Everything seemed fine. I signed a contract to pay $189.00 every two months, with service commencing the same day and continuing at interevals of 45 days for a term of two years. I willingly gave my credit card number for automatic bill paying. The first service was excellent but, surprisingly, my credit card got charged 30 days later and they sent me a text that the pest control technician would be at my home the next day. I replied to the text that I had a problem with my contract, and to please call me. No reply. Yesterday, approximately two months after my initial encounter, they sent me a text saying a technician would be at my residence the next day, and then they charged my credit card $189.00 today. At 1:05 p.m. the technicians identifying themselves as "David" and "CJ" in a text message from ***** ******** saying they would arrive in 35 to 50 minutes. 55 minutes later I received the following text "We've arrived and we're about to get started". I went outside and nobody was there. An hour later I received an email asking me how I liked my service, including a customer survey. I replied that I did not receive the service. No reply. I called all three of their telephone numbers, each of which puts you in a loop of "press this number" or "press that number". Never was I able to speak with anyone about my contract. I sent an email to their customer service department and it bounced--a fake email address. To date, I have received 2 service calls for a total of $567.00, which should have been for a 9-month period, including 6 service calls. My desire is to nullify my contract because they did not perform their side of the deal.

      I agreed to a 39.99 one time service ,no contract. Paid that amount. Then was contacted through email that they were returning to complete the service again. I responded to that email explaining I do not want the service and do not want any service from them. The company then charged a$ 96.83 to my credit card. I’ve contacted the credit card company to challenge that transaction and i am waiting for the resolution. Today the company has sent me a bill for $199.00 with the threat of a collection process if I don’t pay that amount. They claim I signed a contract with them for 24 months of service. The company was doing door to door soliciting when I agreed to the 39.99 service. I did not call them asking for their service and rejected their service immediately when they notified me about returning to do the same service they already did initially. I never opened an account with them and now they refer to my account. I would like my money back and to have them reprimanded for their underhanded business practices. I am a senior citizen and have been scammed. I was never handed a contract nor did they show me their business license or permit to solicit in island co.wa.

      I want my contract cancelled with Aptive. They promised to provide service and rid my yard of mosquitos. The agreed price was $155/mo. They have done 11 treatments and a couple times trying to double charge me for the same month. When brought up to them they said I either keep doing 5 more services to fulfill my contract or they will charge me $199 fee for giving me a "discount" on the first service that apparently should have only been $155 anyways. So I want my contract cancelled for no fee because they have yet to actually control any pests or insects at my house. Especially the mosquitos that I pay extra to treat. I bring this up to the service technician every month and it has never been resolved or even acted like it was a concern of theirs. This is an expensive scam on their part. Charge people to do absolutely nothing, if not make the problem worse.

      I had someone knock on our door on June 28, 2023. He said they provide pest control services, I said I was in need and he said they could start right away. I told him I needed time to think about it and he said this was the only chance I had to say yes at the price and without having to get into a long term contract, He said there were no contracts or anything because I told him I don't do contracts with companies I know nothing about. He said there was no obligations and if I ever was unhappy with the service I could just stop. They said they were doing a wasp and indoor fly trap system too, and they never did. Well fast forward a year my property was covered with ants and cockroaches and mosquitos, I asked them to stop and they said I was in a 18 month contract. I told them I never signed a contract and they said I did. I never recall signing anything, if I did it was done in such a slick, sales way I don't recall. Now they have sent me to collections after putting me in a high pressure sales situation and giving me poor service. And to top it off cancelled my ability to see any contract. They never e-mailed me a copy either. Before paying the $199 cancellation fee I asked for a copy of my contract and they did not provide one.       August 2024: Aptive Environmental (California) - No paper invoices for $39 inspection & $199 for bi-monlthly service; ; no paper contract; no paper receipt for payment … won’t let you cancel until you have paid for the inspection and the first service bu-monhly service before it begins. The salesrep/inspector was very skilled at pest control matters, but unaware that what he had been told didn’t agree with advertising and business managent model discrepancies. Do David Royce & Vess Pearson know their business management?

      In April, door to door salesperson came to my residence and sold pest control service. The treatments did not work, did not stop silverfish, did not stop spiders. Asked for additional help from them each month and the bugs got worse progressively. I switched companies in July. Told the new company about the Silverfish and the spiders. Both stopped after first treatment. I complained to Aptive and requested my cancellation fee of $199 be waived. They refused and stuck to their contract protection to charge me. I paid them but promised to advertise them every where I possibly can. They are a scam, do not trust them or their services.

      I have recently tried multiple times to cancel the pest service that I was pressured into getting back in May from a sales representative that was harassing me and would not leave me alone. I cannot afford to keep this service as I have filed for bankruptcy but they insist on continuing to pressure the service on me. Everytime I cancel an appointment, another appointment is automatically scheduled for the following week. They spend 5-10 minutes spreading some dust around the plants and then they leave. Then they proceed to charge me $189 for each visit. My pests are not minimized, nothing has changed since and has actually gotten worse. I just want this service canceled l, it is a big scam.

      August 16th, I waited at my home for the technician to arrive so I could tell him want is needed to be treated. I was told that the technician would call me when he arrived. I was in the house when I got a text stating that the technician had came and that no one was home and just treated the front yard and left. When I called and complained to the company, they told that they would reach out to the technician to see if he would return. He could not. So they rescheduled for a return to complete the treatment for the next day 17th between 4-7 PM which again I waited. At 7 PM, August 17th, I was texted that the technician could not make the appointment. I waited 2 days for them to treat. They withdraw funds from my bank account $165 for a job that was not done to my satisfaction. I called again and complaint and was told to reschedule treatment at no charge for Friday 23 from 4 - 7 PM, The Technician arrived Friday morning and when my wife told that the appointment was between 4 and 7 PM and waited me to be present. The technician told my wife that he would return and that he would call me before arriving. Again the technician no showed.When I called the company, I was told the technician reported that my wife refused service.When I asked the company to remove me and cancel my contract, all they would say is "we would be happy to reschedule you a new appointment." I am tired of their poor service and customer relations.
