I have been receiving hundreds of promotional emails. I have unsubsribed repeatedly and have called the customer service at least 8 times. They continue to tell me I am removed; however I am receiving 3 emails weekly.
I do not want to be removed from all of APTIVE's marketing and promotional lists and do not want to be contacted by them any longer.Business Response

A sales lady approached me to try the pest control service. I just wanted to try it only once, but it turned out that it was an occurring service. I emailed and called to have the service canceled. But they charged me $199 for the cancelling fee which I was not told from the beginning. I was not aware of the cost and was shocked.Business Response

Aptive environmental is an absolute SCAM of a business. SCAM! On 6/27/2024, a sales representative came to my door and was selling a monthly subscription for pest control services. The individual was being pushy and was asking for commitment and a credit card or debit card number to establish an account with the business. I told the individual I was not interested in a monthly subscription with the business.
The individual offered a ONE TIME treatment for $100 dollars cash. I agreed to a ONE TIME treatment. I never agreed to a subscription. I never gave any credit card or debit card information. I never signed anything. A treatment specialist from Aptive later arrived in the evening and conducted the ONE TIME treatment. I paid him and he was on his way. A few weeks later I received a text from Aptive that they were on their way to my house for another treatment. Through text message I told Aptive this was a mistake and I never agreed to a subscription plan for treatment and to not come to my house.
Fast forward a few weeks and again, Aptive sends a text that they are on their way to my house. I reiterated through text to stop texting me about upcoming appointments I never agreed to or a subscription. They tried saying over text that I will owe $199 for cancellation. I told them I never signed anything and paid cash for a ONE TIME payment. Fast forward and I receive a notice in the mail regarding the $199 fee and they are threatening to send it to collections. SCAM of a company, SCAM. I will be contacting their customer relations tomorrow and speak to a supervisor regarding this issue.Business Response

I purchased a bug treatment for $140.00 and then they offer me a free termite inspection and they charge $600.00 and then $59.00 a month for two years. I had another person check for termites and didn't see any termites in my trees. I called the company and they charge me $199.00 for bug treatment and $400 to cancel the termite treatment.Business Response

Hired Aptive to spray for bugs, they do not do their job. They come out spray half of the house and leave. I've had to call every time to have someone come back out.Business Response

July 18th we signed up with the door to door person who said it would be a quarterly thing for a year and rushed us through signing it (reading this afterwards I never would have done this). now I'm reading I have to do 12 services or keep it 24 months (I may just keep it 24 months - cancelling / rescheduling until I've hit that 24 month mark).

I sent them this email:
I would like to establish some complaints and my expectations for resolving them and what will happen if we are not able to resolve them to my expectations.
We signed up for your services on May. We were told the service price would be $160. When your company arrived for the first service yall sprayed the garden and sheds and only swept half of the house. Much was missed. The next two months we got an email saying yall would not be servicing our property due to weather then on the third reschedule we received a message that yall would be out to service our property but nobody ever showed up. This week yall showed up and sprayed the yard and we were told that for them to sweep the inside of the house and spray the sheds that would be extra. That doesn't make sense because we were told we signed up for the top tier package. Now we are being charged $170 per service when it should have been dropped down to $120 after a previous complaint made by my husband (we have the confirmation email). The lack of service and communication is unacceptable on yalls end and we are very dissatisfied. Because yall have breached your contract with us on multiple occasions then I would like for our contract to be terminated without a byout and reimbursement for the services we payed for and did not receive. Should we not be able to reach an agreement then I will take the next step in reporting your company to the Better Buisness bureau and allow them to help us with this situation.
Now I am just getting a run around where the pass me to different people without trying to resolve anything. I have received emails from 6 different customer representatives from Aptive Environmental in Toledo saying I must pay $200 to cancel service with them while still not addressing my complaints.Business Response

On 08/29/24, an Aptive door-to-door salesman completely disregarded the clearly stated 'No soliciting' sign hung on my doorbell to ring the bell. Once I came to the door, he disregarded several stated 'no thank yous' to his service, and then came to stand in my doorway so I could not close the door without hurting him. He was also dishonest in his pitch, claiming he worked with neighbors that simply don't exist on my street.

An environmental service lied about my payments. Hasn’t done the work they promised to do then continue to take the money from my account stating I signed up for something that I didn’t. I couldn’t get my money back for the service I already paid for. They said they would cancel my account not return the money and also not get the service I paid for. The worker that sold me told nothing but lies according to the working when I was trying to cancel and they told me they wouldn’t cancel my future appointments unless I paid them $200.
