1 starSO MANY RED FLAGS, Vivint along with their financier, Fortiva Retail Credit, ought to be ashamed!Shame on me for NOT declining the offer when my sales *** suggested that everything needed to be installed the same night, otherwise, I'd lose out on the package deal. During the signing process, not only did I need to scan my ID, it also required a LIVE facial recognition as confirmation. That's just weird! About a day or two later, same sales *** had it in his head that he was doing a good job by calling me after working hours. Finally, I'm notified that my once stellar credit score PLUMMETED BY NINETY POINTS!!!!!!! Notified this same sales *** and didn't receive so much as an apology...sorry that happened... nothing. Just DEAD. AIR. ***************************, my sales ***, is somewhere enjoying his commission, I'm sure.If you see VIVINT ***s walking creeping around neighborhood, just call the police.Review fromSadie D

1 starBUYER BEWARE!!! Do not fall for the sales pitch. I am a tech conscious person and when I spoke with the sales person (soliciting in my neighborhood when there are clear signs not to - should have been the first red flag), I specifically asked "If I go with you and I want to purchase my own cameras can I sync them to your product." The answer was yes sure. However that is not true. If you want extra camera (unlike with ADT where you can but ****** products and link) you have to spend $250+ for their equipment, I decided to cancel the monitoring service. I went through several hoops trying to cancel (my equipment was paid off) but although they have an agreement with Citizen's One to do the financing, they have no access or account update from Citizens that your account is clear. Had to hold forever for the person to confirm that. Then they try to fear ****** you into staying by reading this asinine statement about you having to pay if you did not pay your equipment and require a verbal "yes" after they already confirmed. What takes the cake and I am sure is illegal. In cancelling the monitoring service where they save recordings of your camera, etc. That removes your access to the app to get notifications or even see your cameras from your electronic devices. Now I have $30 HiDef Cameras in my home (non-vivint of course) and as long as those cameras are connected to my wifi and I have the app for that brand on my electronic device I can view my cameras where ever. Why can I not access my Vivint cameras from my electronic device using the ********************** app? Simply because I choose to no longer have their monitoring service. No these are your devices and I have your app and I am owed as a customer that much. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars for what is now junk because unless I am downstairs looking at the panel I cannot use the product for it's intended purpose. SCAM. I should have stuck with Ring.Review fromMiranda F

1 starI called our local police department about this company. Their salesMAN, approached me at 9pm, dark in my area, to sell me on home security while seeing my cameras I already have. After ************************************************************* any pricing information, I became leery and scared. These strong arm tactics may have worked in the 50's. In 2024, in a concealed carry State, I asked your salesman not to come onto my property. He did anyway. He's lucky he wasn't shot. I called the Police. It seems this company is casing local neighborhoods. Call the Police immediately when you see a representative from their company approache.Review fromRegina M

1 starMy cameras spend more time not working than working. And when they do work, it doesn't pick anything g up. I have spent so many days trying to fix them. Which never takes less than 4 hours. It drains my entire day. I'm so fed up, I am thinking about suing them. Not only for my money back but also for the stress the system has put on me time and time again.Review fromTimera C

1 starI have had the system for just over a year. It is always offline, I always have issues with locking the doors from the app, turning the air up or down from the app, even when im in my home. **************** states that my internet is the reason why my cameras dont work (are off line), except I work from home and my internet is just fine. It seems like everytime we leave town, something goes wrong and I cannot trust this system. I have invested over $6,000 that i am paying monthly invoices on for a system that is very unreliable. And in order for me to cancel, i have to pay off the $4000 balance on my account? I have to pay for something that essentially doesn't work and is unreliable? How is it that if you buy a car for $50,000 and if you take it to the shop so many times and its never fixed you can file a lemon law on the car, but you spend $5,000+ on s security system and cant do the same thing? I want out of my contract with no penalty. at this time, im not even asking for money back, just to not pay the money owed. Vivint can come pick up their equipment and sell it to someone else....why should i have to pay for equipment that is unreliable?Review fromJosh D

1 starI had issues beginning with the salesman and continuing on into the customer service side through the ********************** HQ. ******** did not disclose information about 3 day return window, 3rd party financing, and did a good sales job of keeping me distracted while signing these documents. He was supposed to initiate a buyout from the previous company so that we could switch on the day of new contract (6/12), and after spending 10+ hours on the phone, and finding out new information every time, we were made aware that as of 7/29, he had still not begun that process. We have made 3 double payments in the time being because of this delay. He also was delinquent or completely ignored questions that HQ said he should be answering and ending up blocking us. HQ was no help, left my wife on hold for 30 minutes, only to come back on and promptly hang up on her. We were offered many different monitoring rates to help assuage some of the issues we were having, but after agreeing to one, it was not what we were charged the past month. There was also a "starter kit" (for $1800) that was supposed to include signage and stickers (that we have not received) and possibly produce discounted monitoring rates after a certain period of time that we were not made aware of. The original email I got with the breakdown of the monitoring rate and the date it will be withdrawn every month has yet to match what has actually come out of my account and has been 3 times higher than what I have documentation of.Review fromTricia B

1 starCalled June 16th to cancel service due to moving. *** was very hard to understand and told me the request takes 30 days to process and that I would still be charged. I argued since we were moving, it is not right to be charged. *** gave me half the cost for June and said the request would cancel in 30 days. Two months later, I am still being charged and Vivint will not refund stating I have to cancel by email. I explained I had no email to cancel and did not remember being told I had to cancel by email. Long story short, and after being told by a supervisor that its my fault and they would not refund, they finally sent an email to cancel. I have returned their method of cancellation with eating $100 of charges and the possibility of another $49 in charges in 30 days. This is not right. They should not get money for two months of service where I did not occupy the property.Review fromJuan G

1 starWorst Product anyone can buy. For the money they scammed me out of I might as well quit my job and protected my home my self. Between the 10+ hours of being on hold or transferred to someone else. To having 15 appointments to fix a system Ive had installed for a year that literally never fully worked.Review fromJuan A

1 star????????????????????Poor attention to complaints made.If there were (-5) I would give it, among some failed attempts at a solution, 2:30 hours and more of waiting to resolve a complaint that has been made for a long time. (I HAVE THE RECORDS TO PROVE IT).for offering Equipment about to be discontinued and Without Guarantees. I have been complaining for a long time about one of the cameras purchased by Vivint, which does not record movements in the coverage area and leaves events unregistered. Recently, there was an attempt to steal a car that I own, which is recorded in the police report and the only thing that could be seen was a person getting out of the car, but it was never seen when he arrived, nor how he got into the car, that is, if the person had managed to start the car, it would never have been known what happened because the car would have disappeared without a trace.Because of this, Vivint has been called repeatedly and after being on hold for a long time on the phone, the call is lost, or they transfer from one department to another, even ending up in the **************** to propose other service packages ????. A terrible experience that far from being calm as the service they offer requires, you enjoy a bitter experience when it comes to solving a concern caused by their equipment and services. It would be worth thinking very carefully before taking this step since once you have purchased the service and the equipment, they win but we as customers will be tied to the debt of the purchase offered. My experience has not been the best. AFTER COUNTLESS RECORDED CALLS AND WITHOUT A SOLUTION TO MY PROBLEM, anyone COULD BREAK INTO YOUR HOUSE AND MAYBE THE CAMERA WOULD NOT EVEN KNOW THAT IT WAS STOLEN.They claim to offer service so that their customers get peace of mind, ?? ask someone this after a long time on hold without solving the problem ????, Be sure you want be stressful before they services.Review fromMichaela J
