      Worst company I am thinking of just not paying them and cancel the automatic withdrawal its a s***** system and constantly says change battrey

      I will never recommend Vivint; after being a customer for 10 years all I have to say is DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. After the sale of our home, I contacted Vivint customer service to let them know the new home owner will be taking over the home security devices and everything will be transferred to them; at that time vivint removed our access to the vivint account. I rightly assumed that was it... only to realize 10 months later Vivint was still billing us monthly (as well as the new home owners); they were collecting monthly fees for a service we no longer had (and also billing the new home owners). After a week of back and forth with their customer service we were finally told it was an error and we would receive a full refund from the time of transfer (10 months); the refund I received was less than 1 month of charges. We have spent another week of our time arguing with customer service who now says we will not be getting the refund since we have no written documentation from customer service; not only that, they are refusing to release the recorded phone message where their customer service representative acknowledges the error and promises we will be receiving a refund for the 10 months of double charges. ******.

      If I could leave a negative review I would! My sales *** and installer never explained to me Id be going through ******* to pay off my cameras. Instead they told me that my monthly Vivint bill would be higher until my equipment was paid off and then would lower once it was done, had my bill on autopay and never looked again. Come to find out from a DEBT collector today that I now have over $2000 in debt for not making one payment to my equipment. And there is no record of the $700 equipment deposit I made. Will definitely be contacting legal. Definitely scammed.

      Sales guy knocked earlier and came back again despite no soliciting sign. I informed him I have a clearly labeled no soliciting sign and that I am extremely contagiously sick and he still tried to give me the sales pitch. You will never get a cent from me and I hope folks who are prospective of your service understand the lack of respect encouraged by your sales people.

      We had been long term customers of ********************** for 9 years. We decided to transfer service when we moved to a new town. Their technician came and installed the new system on January 7th of 2025. As soon as the technician left, we started getting motion detector error messages. We also noticed the motion detector lights, garage door openers, the cameras were not working. The tech suggested to contact customer support to have schedule an onsite visit, but all we received was hours of phone troubleshooting that never worked. After over a dozen calls, and our patience level running thin, we called customer support and told them we would dispute the charge if they could not get someone out to fix the system. After one month, we disputed the $1897 and asked them to cancel the service, they would not. They then started calling about payment. After three months of back and forth, we asked them to come deinstall their device from our home, they said they don't do such practice and asked to give them a chance to fix it. Five months later, Vivint withdrew $1897 from our checking account, without consent. We called them to let them know that action seemed fraudulent, but we were met with they're still trying to find a tech to send out to our home.We read reviews about some nightmares others have experienced, so we consulted with an attorney and was told a refusal to pay the upfront fee for the system could have them send us to collection. It was now end of July, we called them and let them charge us for the system, because they kept refusing to cancel the service, even though it has never worked. They even had continue to charge us the $50 monthly subscription and have refused to deactivate the system.Their customer support only cares about reading scripts and making promises they never seem to be able to deliver. RUN from this company and if you live in an area where they send a sales person to knock on your door, I hope you have a couple of mean dogs you can let loose.

      **** tried to sell me products today in ************, **. He was not very accepting of my polite no thank you's! Seriously, after two he should have left me alone, by four I was getting annoyed! When nothing worked he pointed to the darker skinned colleague with him (who was being polite and quiet) and said to me..." How about drugs do want some he has some" and he pointed right at the other man! I said no I don't do drugs! Then he said " well he doesn't really have any drugs, but I did find half a mushroom on the wsy here and I ate it and now I am tripping and that bug on your door (metal door decoration) is going to fly away". Well even if he was joking he was completely unprofessional! And what? Imply the dark skinned guy had drugs so I would be afraid and buy their products? Well no! I will never buy anything from this company EVER, in the future, or anytime! He may have inspired me to buy a gun though! The *** should thank him! I called my neighbors and told them because I found him so unprofessional! My neighbor was on the phone, she repeatedly told him no thank you she was on a business call and he would still not leave! She stated he made derogatory remarks about the colleague being mexican! I feel bad for that man that got thrown under a bus twice (that I know of, today) so **** could try to scare us into buying this companies products! No one should have to put up with that to get a pay check! I do understand why the man was quiet, it was probably the only thing he could be to keep his job!!

      I would give this company zero stars and it needs to be shut down immediately. Seriously. A couple years back their technician did some damage to my rental and all I asked was for them to reimburse me for the damages. They agreed to pay the small $175 fee but proceeded to give me the run around for months until I finally gave up. Fast forward to this week, their sales team was calling with an attempt to enroll us again. They said they would give us the equipment for "free" but double the monthly service charge. So, it actually was not free. I rejected that offer and their manager called back to further convince me. I asked him to send my proposal in an email for my husband and I to discuss and requested he follow up the next day for our decision. I was in a work meeting when he called, and I did not pick up. He proceeded to create an installation appointment anyway without my approval and retrieve a deposit. THIS WAS SOMETHING I NEVER AGREED TO. I had to go and block my debit card from use to ensure they no longer had access to it. This company is absolutely vile. BBB, PLEASE SHUT THEM DOWN.

      I purchased a security system from Vivint and I'm very unhappy. I cancelled the service which was cancelled 2 weeks after I ***led them. My service was within the 90 day cancellation time period I was given. Vivint made an appointment for 7/28/25 to have the equipment removed from my home so I could get a refund of $4000 and no one showed up for the appointment, I waited a week and no one ***led or attempted to reschedule the appointment. I ***led today (Aug 4th) and rescheduled for this Wednesday (8/6/25) between 12 and 4pm. I pray they show up this time. The *** told me that management was notified since I rescheduled, but I don't have any faith in that response. I don't understand why I had to *** them when they are the ones who cancelled. I've had nothing but problem since this purchase and nothing but excuses... I want the equipment removed and a refund. Let's see what happens at the upcoming appointment. I have a feeling they will be a no show again. I will update this after 4pm 8/6/25.

      I am a renter, not the property owner. At no point during the sales process did your representative (***** ********, Rep *** ******* inform me that I needed the property owners permission to proceed with installation. I was also not clearly informed that I could be held liable for property damage or lease violations resulting from the installation of Vivint equipment.This failure to disclose critical information has now resulted in a financial dispute with my landlord regarding alleged damages. Only upon reviewing the contract after the fact did I notice the following buried clause:If youre a renter, you must give us the owners contact information or proof of the owners permission if we request it. (Section 2.d, Page 5)This vague conditional phrasing did not serve as adequate or clear notice, especially during an in-home sales presentation. Had I been informed upfront that the system would require the landlords consentor that it could result in lease violationsI would never have proceeded.

      Unfair and misleading practices. I don't appreciate being lied to and misled. They won't allow me to cancel this contract nor did they ever show me the cancelation policy nor the contract. That's not my signature nor my authorization and they charge extremely high amounts to cancel. I never co seated ro running g my credits and they never even emailed me a copy of anything.
