An absolutely terrible service. Was sold a system saying it was new and up to date. Then was told that it was to old to be serviced and I needed to buy all new equipment. I will not be recommendeding this company to anyone.

Cameras constantly go offline. Cameras are electrically connected to the house so intruders can simply slice the wire. You have to pay $100 for any service tech to come out. You have to trouble shoot everything yourself.Extremely expensive. sales men are misleading in product cost and support

Vivints cameras have been cutting in and out for months. Ive head techs out 3 times. They cant find a solution. I called to get a tech back out for a third time. They said they would be a month to get to me. I explained Ive been with them for ***************************** thousands of dollars of their equipment and monitoring and expect them to go in a timely manner or I would be forced to go elsewhere. They transferred me to the cancellation *****

Toxic calls and emails,I am extremely disappointed with the repeated calls and emails I have been receiving from your company. I sold my home in ********, and at that time, a Vivint representative advised me to transfer my service to the new homeowner. I followed those instructions, and the new homeowner successfully continued the service in her name.Despite that, I continue to receive harassment calls and emails from Vivint. I have explained this issue multiple times, yet I am continually transferred to disconnected lines or receive no proper follow-up. This ongoing situation has become very stressful and unacceptable. If this harassment continues, I will have no choice but to file a formal complaint and pursue further action. I urge your company to immediately remove my information from your contact system and resolve this matter once and for all.Sincerely,Voka

Salesrep blatantly lied about me getting free equipment. Misrepresented and stated that I would not be paying for equipment and just the service. After my my first bill came in I found out that my bill was higher and the yrs was not for 3.5 yrs but for 5 yrs. Deceptive sales tactics when verbally stating what I was signing up for. Do not use vivint. I would give zero stars.

I wish a 0 was available for the rating! Do not use Vivint!! They are not honest and will just try to tell you whatever they want. They do not provide customer service and you will not get your welcome email in a timely matter so that you can't cancel before the 3 day window expires. Wasted hours of my time and their inability to turn off an alarm was absolutely ridiculous. Instead of trying to assist me they continued to try to upsell / upgrade their system. They focus is on overselling their system only. They do not care about you or providing any type of service to their clients. Use literally any other company!!!!

Vivint is a scamming company I was told that my credit wouldn't be ran when the guy asked for my social security number and equipment would be free from the door salesman. I was trick out of canceling my previous service who I was with and never had a problem. Tried canceling service kept giving me the run arounds and offering free months of service why I shouldn't cancel. In just recently my vehicles were vandalized in my yard not one camera got a notification of the incident being done at the time. Called Vivint and they only wanted to offer me $25 when I had thousands stolen from me and refuses to send someone out to check equipment or replace for different equipment.

A Nightmare Experience I No Longer Feel Safe in My Own Home I had a truly disturbing and unacceptable experience with Vivint that I feel compelled to share. After dealing with persistent equipment issues, I was pressured into paying an additional $2,500 to upgrade my system. Since the upgrade, *** continued to experience problems. After months of frustration, Vivint finally agreed to send a technicianbut the situation only got worse from there. The technician they sent, ***** (the same one who installed the upgrade), was incredibly unprofessional. While I was home alone (my husband is currently overseas), he made me extremely uncomfortable by sharing personal details about his polygamist relationship and offering me his personal phone number in case I needed anything. This was completely inappropriate and made me feel unsafe.During the appointment, he broke one of my cameras, couldnt fix the door lock without repeatedly calling others for help, and became aggressive when I reminded him that he had damaged the backyard camera on a previous visit. He started yelling at me, waving his arms, and denying responsibility.I asked him to leave my home at least five times. He refused. Fearing for my safety, I called 911 on speakerphone. Only then did he finally leave.Whats worse is that Vivint has not taken any real responsibility. They want me to spend more money to buy equipment that is p only a few months old. I reported everything and received no meaningful support. This technician still had access to all my security codes and passwordswhich Vivint controlsand yet they showed no urgency in protecting my safety. I now live in fear that this technician might retaliate. The very company I trusted to protect my home has made me feel more vulnerable than ever. I expected professionalism, accountability, and peace of mind. Instead, I was left shaken, ignored, and terrified in my own home.

Worst experience ever with this company. We initially signed up for the service but didn't realize what we were getting ourselves into. The equipment was way overpriced and they didn't tell us we would be paying on it for 60 months and that it would be overvalued at like 10 times what it's worth. We were charged $1,800 just to install the equipment and for 5 cameras, a dvr, a hub and thermostat would cost us over $6,000 for the whole system which we thought was $4k and was expensive at that amount. I thought install was free and found out after that it was super expensive. We financed $4k through Citizens Pay and Vivint financed the rest and we thought all this time that it was only Citizens pay and nothing was going to Vivint other than the monthly monitoring charges that were supposed to be $46 a month but was actually $73 because they tacked on the equipment to our monthly bill so we were paying $63 a month to Citizen's Pay and $73 to Vivint. The equipment is sub-par and doesn't work very good. Keeps disconnecting and I have to troubleshoot it all the time. In the beginning the technician visits were free and so was shipping any equipment and then after the first year we were told that technician visits were now $100 and even sending me a replacement item would cost me $4.95 to ship it when it was all free before. They don't tell you up front that after you pay the equipment off you have to keep the monitoring or your equipment is useless and you can't even use the app on your phone at that point. They never unlock the equipment which means you can't troubleshoot yourself, you have to call Vivint and if your not paying for monitoring they won't help you. The equipment should be unlocked if I pay it off and we should still have access tot he app even after we shut off the monitoring because we paid for that quite well in many ways. ************ that treats their customers bad. **************** is in a different country and you don't get good service there.
