      With Vivint always trying to sell new system, was loyal customer called about problems and always wanted me to buy a new system. When canceling system it took 1 1/2 months to cancel. Still took money out of account. Its been almost 4 months and still haven't been return money. Every time call about it they continue transferring my calls to other departments. Do not recommend the service due to very poor customer service.

      Do not get suckered into purchasing this product. Go with Ring.I had a RING doorbell prior to the Vivint alarm system. The app to view the doorbell buffers.Called in time to cancel the contract and was asked to give them a second chance to correct the problem. Gave them a 2nd and 3rd chance and the video for the doorbell still buffers. I realize now, they were buying time so that I would be out of my contract window and have to pay $1k termination ****** safety is at jeopardy because I use the video camera to see who's at my door before buzzing them in. I should not have to pay $1k for my safety.

      Vivint will never let you go! Vivint customer service is not about serving the customer. I had a home system that was sold by an aggressive salesman and I tolerated all that. But years later when I sold the home and didn't need the system anymore and the new home owners didn't want to transfer the system. Vivant would only charge me, promise me refunds, and try EVERYTIME I called for help to just have me keep a system that I don't even have access to because the house sold. If you buy from ******, ****** that they will never let you cancel. Even after the equipment is long gone, and no longer in your posession. I literally have a case # from them for two refunds and when I call to follow up because I never got it, ALL they try and do is retain me for as a customer and a system I NO LONGER OWN or have access to even use.

      I got my system July 2023 with my husband of 7+ years. 10 years prior I had account with ex and paid off in full and closed it. Moving forward to current I was looking at my account online and for some unknown reason it shows the point of contact as my ex from almost 10 yrs ago. I immediately contacted Vivint all for them to tell me no they can't see anything, and after hours on the phone trying to figure it out and uninstalling the app and resetting passwords they were able to take that name and contact phone number off, and when I asked if I could have record of them changing my account they said no one changed your account it was like that. I explained that I had several screen shots with time stamps that clearly show it was changed. My concern was did he have access to my cameras for the last 2+ years? Supervisor called and said no only access was my husband and I. I then said I don't feel comfortable keeping this account especially after being lied to by several employees and asked about closing my account. All to be told it has remaining balance of $2200+ and that would need to be paid first. Absolutely ridiculous I have to pay this after they screwed up and added someone to my account. I do not recommend this company and will be dropping them ****.

      ******* ******** (Unsatisfied Customer)After being with this company for several years with know complaints, this year (2025) with them has been horrible. At the beginning of Oct. I had water damage happen to my home. This caused some issues with my alarm system to where I had to get some sensor replaced. I asked before they came when will I be charged for the sensors, I was told by the man on the phone, " It will be on your next bill". The moment I hung up the phone with them they charged my bank card $378.86. I did not notice this for a few days. Once I saw the error I called asking for a refund, and letting them know I did not authorize this transaction. The amount that was suppose to paid ON MY NEXT BILL was $108.25. After several phone calls I was then promised a refund of $270.61 on Oct. 28th. Because they where holding the $108.25. I agreed, I just wanted my money back. After 3 weeks and SEVERAL SEVERAL SEVERAL PHONE calls with this company I still have not received my money back. There has been one lie after the next about where my money is. They even tried to say my bank was holding the money, and my bank had no knowledge of a refund with this company. All I kept asking for is my money back. This company plays dumb, but they know what they during to give you the run around about a refund. I have paperwork showing I was promise a refund, but I have not received ANYTHING, and this is ************ still has no information about this refund. I even called today to speak with someone at the company today, and they said, "I have to find out where your refund went." But you had my bank card number to take the money, but you don't have the bank card number on file to give it back.... WEIRD. So now I waiting to hear back from someone about where the money is and if or when I will get it back. Do NOT DO NOT get an alarm with this company....SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      I have tried to cancel Vivint numerous times. I have spent well over two hours trying to cancel on the phone. I am constantly sent to someone different and then the call is dropped. In one instance I was told I would be called back within 24 hours and that never happened. Today, their phone service simply isn't working. I have spent hours over days trying to cancel and I simply can't do it. It's ridiculous.

      Buyer beware!! Vivint's Cancellation Specialists don't cancel or respect. I made 3 calls attempting to cancel. June 30 I called Vivint to cancel the account. We sold our home, & buyers didn't want it. After two transfers & a 45-minute wait for a cancellation specialist, I told him, buyers moved into our home, they don't want ****************************** not transferring, we have service in our new home. He offered discounts, deals & free months of service to switch. I told him no & offered my card several times. He kept putting me on hold, only to come back to ask more questions & make more offers. After 79 minutes of this, I told him to call my husband. He agreed but never called. My husband called Vivint & got the same tactics used on him. By the end of his call, I gave my verbal consent to cancel the account.October 27, I called Vivint asking why $5 charges were still being taken from my account. The account never got cancelled! We asked for a supervisor but got transferred to a "cancellation specialist". Throughout the long call we attempted unsuccessfully to get a supervisor on the line. Each time we were met with *************************** he would help cancel the account. He said he needed a good reason to get a supervisor. We were asked about our current security, our previous security, why we didn't want to transfer. Each attempt to get a follow-through with cancellation was met with further deviation. We told him we would be filing complaints, but that didn't faze him. Later in the call after continuous deviation, he asked me to state "yes" to legally binding questions to cancel the account. I had already given consent in a previous call & believed doing so again now would nullify my previous cancellation attempts, but he wouldn't proceed further without it or transfer me to a supervisor. I said "yes" under extreme duress. Then I demanded to speak to a supervisor & was informed there would be more charges. I filed fraud with my bank in the end.

      I have been a customer with ********************** Home **********************. Securing my home has always felt subpar. As a dissatisfied customer, I decided to call and cancel the service. The customer service *** stated that she had to get permission to cancel my service. All along, the *** is trying to persuade me to stay. I continuously declined. The *** had me on hold for approximately 20 minutes. Upon the *** return, they pretended to not be able to hear me, although I could hear them perfectly. I continued to say I could hear them. They proceeded to say, since I can not hear you, we can not move forward with the cancelation. I believe she can hear me. She gave me two updates while I was on hold and could hear me. Then all of a sudden, they can not hear me. I just want to cancel me service.

      Stay away from this company at all costs!! They are crooked and have continued to bill us for over 13 months, even after countless calls with their staff. Had to p ay them $95 more just to get them to cancel and still don't have confirmation that my service is cancelled. This is a scam, avoid them at all costs!! This is a zero star rating, but it won't let me not select a star.

      This is the worst security system it is not accurate, its been 8 months since my cameras went out been submitted multiple claims and had employees randomly knock on my door to ask how is my system I told them they submitted the claim and until this day NO ONE has com to repair my system!!! Im not even gonna entertain the sales tactics and the bs they did to me from opening an unauthorized credit card without informing and letting me know this was the plan. If ya want a non reliable system with 0 customer service and getting robbed monthly from a totally diff price than u were initially told this is the perfect company for all the above reasons.
