      Terrible company. Dont ever use them. My wife and I both spoke to multiple agents and it took over 40 minutes. They are liars and literally lie to you the entire time. I have never had an issue like this when cancelling service. I would recommend them to nobody ever, dont use them. They ****. Their executive leadership should be ashamed at the kind of company rut created. Go search them on social media and see all the negative reviews.

      My main panel broke 3 years into my 5 year contract which means nothing worked anymore along with several other things breaking. They said i would have to pay to replace it. I opted just to run out my contract out because i was beyond frustrated and ****** about the customer service and getting a tech out to look at the system. I called BEFORE my contract ended to ensure my account would be canceled before the month to month payments kicked in. GUESS what, they didn't cancel my account and a bill came that first month. I spend the next FOUR MONTHS on the phone with them several times over 6+ hours trying to get past their loyalty team to cancel the account. FINALLY i get to where I HAVE TO EMAIL a cancelation request AND pay for all the monthly payments THAT WOULDNT HAVE OCCURED if they cancelled to account IN THE FIRST PLACE. After all that and the confirmation email that the account will be cancelled, the next month I GET ANOTHER MONTHLY BILL FOR A SYSTEM THAT HASNT BEEN OPERABLE FOR 3 YEARS. After al this i am livid and ****** at this company and their preying tactics to keep billing you and keeping you from cancelling an account. I will never suggest this company to anyone i know and will always be furious by even the name of this company. I spent HOURS on the phone with the overseas call center listening to their scripts, never getting any real help and dodging me trying to cancel the account. I would give zero stars if i could.

      ****** THIS COMPANY! They are fine if you want wireless cameras with little antennae, & live where you really need security. BUT, they lied & said their system is wired: it's not; it's wireless! Annnnd, they charge way more than needed, as I discovered when I tried to cancel. Then, all of a sudden, they could cut 2/3 of my price off! I still wanted to cancel, as ********** had discussed it. They DO NOT listen to you if you need to cancel! I thought they'd be better than ADT (another horrible company) but they are not. They still trick you into paying for it even if you want to cancel. After being told we wouldn't face this penalty! (I'd specifically asked because we'd been burned before...but Vivint lied about that too). And they are worse than ADT. When I told ADT I was stopping the service, they didn't argue & keep asking "Whyyyyeeee?" like Vivint does. When I called, I went round & round with the person (number 1) asking why, until I finally started saying "Because I said so!" the way you have to do with a whiny toddler. The "second tier" person was no better. Kept BADGERING me & kept offering "other solutions" which were not really solutions. Finally, after I agreed to a *** service with just a doorbell camera, I was transferred to person 3 who kept saying, "You want to cancel, right?" I tried to explain I was downgrading the system to just the doorbell. She then transferred me to person 4 who started up the "what can we do?" business again. AND told me the doorbell thing was also wireless, even though person 2 told me it was wired. After all this nonsense, I decided again to cancel. Just stay away!!! Get a deadbolt instead.

      For one month I e tried to cancel my service! They only wanted to upgrade me or replace my sensors!! I hav3 talked to prob 10 different npeople from the *********** to ****!! They wanted to put in new equipment as I was told its outdated. I had there service for 11 years, first 10 were OK but the last year sucked!! They wouldn't cancel the service so I changed my debit card so I couldn't be billed!! Awful company to deal with.. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone!!

      Basically everything everyone else is posting on their reviews is what I am going through with Vivint. They lied at the door about no fees for the equipment. Then signed a contract only to find out after the billing that I have two separate charges. One for the service and one for the equipment through a different company name. I cancelled it only to find out that I will still have to pay for the equipment even if I don't use the service. So, I had to keep it until the equipment was paid for. Then tried to cancel again and they have been running me around for months! This company is terrible!!

      Recently cancelled my service with vivint, I was told there was a cancellation process, and it would take 30 days. I told them so you are going to charge me for another 30 days even though I'm cancelling today. This company is horrible. Buyer beware!!! I would give them 0 stars if I could.

      The installers gave me a quote for the monthly monitoring fee, which was half of what it actually cost.They also told me there was no contract involved, which was a lie.I have a thirty six month contract and to get out of ***** will cost me a lot of money, hundreds of dollars. They are deceitful stay away from them.

      Vivint would not let me cancel and pay the fee to cancel my contract. They denied my request to cancel despite having followed all the instructions and rules and called to follow up for two months. They would keep reading through 5 minute sale pitches and giving me the run around. I would stay on the phone for 2-3hrs each phone call to be told everything was being handled and still receive a denial email to cancel. This went on from Sept 29, 2025 until the end of my contract Dec 6th. They gave me the run around until the end of the contract instead of letting me cancel. They have the worst customer service ever. They are crooked and scammers. I will never recommend Vivint to anyone!

      Im writing this review to share my experience with Vivint. I decided to cancel my service because I felt undervalued as a customer. On multiple calls, I felt like I didnt know what I was talking about and that my concerns were a burden to their team. I also believe I was being overcharged for the product and services I received, Ive found comparable options with better equipment, better support, and shorter contract terms.While the concept of smart home security is appealing, the customer service and value offered by ********************** in my situation fell short. If youre considering Vivint, Id suggest reading the fine print, asking detailed questions, and comparing competitors. Based on my experience, I wont be recommending this company. ****** A
