      Vivant Smart home is by far the most malicious devious company that I have ever done business with as a company I used to protect my home. I sold my home in ******* relocated to *****. I have been unable to cancel my alarm monitoring with them. I have called numerous times for nothing but a run around. I have been paying a monthly fee for over 30 months. I highly suggest that you NEVER DO BUSINESS with VIVANT. DO NOT have then install your alarm equipment or sign any kind of contract with them to provide monthly home monitoring,

      I was a loyal customer for 5 years. Shame on me. Here recently when I tried to cancel my account (and they were paid in full) they would not cancel. Well they are in for a big surprise. People beware of this company. They have devious business practices and devious sales tactics. Use any other company.

      If I could leave zero stars I would. Like many others have said they are total scammers. I bought all my equipment outright and was with them for 5 years so my contract had lapsed. When it was time for me to move I decided that I did not need the service. I have been fighting for two months to get my service terminated. Been on the phone with them for countless hours. They have made threats to report me to the credit bureaus if I do not continue paymentIm in a different state. I feel like they are extorting me because they know I care about my credit score. Whats sad is this company was created by ******* who claim to have a moral compass, yet they are willing to engage in criminal activity in order to trick their loyal customers into spending money on a service that they no longer need or have access to.

      Have not been with Vivint home security a year yet. Have had equipment problems with smoke/carbon monoxide detector, indoor camera and panel. Currently the panel is malfunctioning. Can't arm or disarm. Causes alarm to go off, disrupts other equipment that runs through it. The customer service support people are no help. You schedule appointment for technician, they give you appointment time, but don't complete the work order so tech never shows up. If your shopping for a home security company STAY AWAY FROM VIVINT.

      They will bend over backwards, make promises they DON'T keep and when you inquire and try to resolve the problem with them, you get the runaround. They told me they would send out $445.94 **** card to pay off the company I was leaving. Now we are stuck paying it anyway and the new contract. They also told us we would get a $250.00 credit on our account. That hasn't happened either. I regret switching over

      I signed up with Vivint because the home I bought already had their equipment installed. They confirmed everything could be activated, and I added new cameras and sensors which triggered a credit pull immediately. Unfortunately, that was the only thing they handled quickly.I waited over a month for a tech. When he arrived, he said he couldnt touch anything because Vivint failed to notice the previous homeowners account was still active. Instead of fixing it, they told me to contact the former owner and get them to cancel. Completely *************** the time that mess was finally cleared up, almost three months had passed with no progress. I called Vivint again in August, and they scheduled an install but I still had to wait nearly another month because they have so few techs in my area. During that wait, the original tech who first came to my home texted me personally to say he no longer worked for Vivint and warned me about how badly the company treats their techs. Not a great sign.The new tech came in mid-September and installed everything. Two months later, my brand-new outdoor camera completely failed. For a full week I was bounced around overseas support, told my WiFi bridge was the wrong version, waited two weeks for replacements, and none of it fixed anything. Once the case was escalated, the higher-level tech immediately saw the truth: the bridges were fine and the camera hardware was dead.Heres the worst part: the camera failed in early October, and Vivints earliest repair date is late November. Nearly two months with a dead camera on a system Im paying for.Vivint offered two free months, which doesnt come close to making up for the delays, misinformation, broken hardware, and constant runaround. Their departments dont communicate, promises arent documented, and the entire experience felt like bait-and-switch.I strongly recommend avoiding Vivint.

      Scam. They left my account open 3 months after transferring my equipment to new home owners we sold to, charged us for all 3 months, and then charged us another month because cancellation takes 30 days. This was after transferring me 5 times in 30 minutes. Still no refund. Do not use them.

      Vivint is truly the worst company Ive ever dealt with a total nightmare from start to finish.I used their service for a year, and it was awful the entire time. The app constantly glitched, the cameras rarely worked, and nothing ever functioned the way it was supposed to. The only reason I stayed as long as I did was because switching to ADT or another provider felt too expensive and time-consuming.But the real nightmare started when I tried to cancel.Ive been trying to cancel my account since March. Every time I called, theyd tell me it was taken care of and then Id get charged again. This happened over and over with different excuses every time. They ended up charging me for FOUR extra months after I supposedly canceled.I requested a refund for those months, and it has now been three months of constant follow-ups. Emails, calls, being transferred around, promises that its processing and still nothing. No refund. No accountability. No resolution. Just a massive waste of time and ******** is now November and I still dont have my refund. Absolutely unacceptable.Everyone needs to know about this: Avoid Vivint at all costs. The service is bad, the equipment barely works, canceling is a months-long battle, and getting a refund seems impossible. I will never use them again, and I would warn anyone considering them to look elsewhere.

      In my personal opinion, Vivint has been an absolute nightmare.A salesman showed up at 10 PM, pushing a rushed pitch full of cancel anytime lies and fake-sounding promises. No contract mentioned. No clear pricing. Nothing but pressure.They stayed until 1 AM installing everything like they were trying to beat a stopwatch. Then the bill hit and what I was told would be a couple hundred dollars exploded into THOUSANDS, plus massive installation charges I was never honestly told about.I had to move suddenly, tried to cancel like I was promised I could, and suddenly theres a contract I never heard about. ***************** In my experience useless, unhelpful, and exhausting.And the equipment? Constant malfunctions and ********* personal opinion:Avoid Vivint like the plague. I regret ever opening my door.
