      Horrible security system, had people in my backyard and couldn't view live video, had to risk a confrontation by actually stepping out because the video would not show on the app, you're better off installing CCTV. About 80% of the time past videos won't load either, customer service is the worst, they never fix the issue and it takes hours to even remotely get close, company is infuriating to work with. Never again, BBB should have them shut down

      If I could give zero stars, I would. The customer service is the WORST. I was a longtime customer (10+ years) and hadn't needed any repairs in several years. But over time some of the sensors failed and when I called to trouble shoot and/or get new ones, the nightmare began. Charges for everything so for four failed sensors, it was going to cost a few hundred to replace. Never mind that I had been overpaying for an outdated system for years (not my biggest knock against them since Vivint certainly isn't alone in leaving existing customers paying more while they give tons of deals to attract new customers). Calls would take so long that I'd have to get off (most of us don't have two free hours to trouble shoot) and then when I would call back, I'd have to start all over again. Why bother to enter call notes if they don't get used. Most of the customer service **** were difficult to understand, lots of attempts to ***ell me rather than just addressing my issues, and with no authority to make decisions -- the number of times I was put on long holds while they tried to get approval from higher *** was mind boggling. Seven hours between calls and chats over the span of three days. One person was supposed to call me back at an agreed upon time because after nearly two hours, she still hadn't gotten permission to waive fees and equipment costs and then called me several hours after the set time when I wasn't free to pick up the call. Gave them multiple opportunities to try to make things right before finally deciding I was so DONE, and then it took an hour on the phone to cancel. Never again!

      I would leave a -0 fir my experience with Vivints Home security that a joke. First this young man from came to my and wouldn't leave until I spoke with and he was telling about system and said that if i didn't like it after 6 months that i could cancel if i was unhappy and he also opened account in my name for the equipment and he never mentioned that He sit here for three hours trying to convince me about how good the alarm system was, and I fall for it. I not happy with the alarm system the equipment is over ******** dollars. And I didn't find until I checked my credit score and I seen that it had with down by 5 points. I called Vivints to cancel on June 30, 2025 and the woman that I talked to said that they would give money off and to call back in August which I did but it after the 10 and they said it was to late to cancel and I have been calling two to three times a week and I'm not getting any where. This company should be shut down **** it a scam. And no one cares Vivints doesn't care anything about there customers

      I began services with Vivint in 2019 for home monitoring. In February 2025, I agreedverballyto a contract extension at a new monthly rate of $34.99. Since then, Vivint has illegally and consistently overbilled me every month, despite numerous calls to customer service and repeated assurances that the errors would be resolved.Each month, Im told its a mistake. Each month, Im promised it wont happen again. And yet, here we aremonths laterwith nothing resolved. I finally requested to terminate the contract due to their breach of agreement, only to be told I must pay a $250 termination feea fee theyre enforcing despite the fact that Vivint is the party in violation.Even more concerning is that this is not an isolated experience. My children, former Vivint customers themselves, had their vehicle nearly stolen while their home was armed. The Vivint cameras captured nothing. When this was reported, their only solution was to sell them upgraded equipment. Which may I add the equipment is roughly 5yrs old.This is not just poor customer service. This is a company exploiting its customers, offering subpar **********************, failing to uphold agreements, and then charging outrageous fees to escape the contract. The contract itself includes no language about consumer recourse when Vivint violates its terms, leaving customers powerless unless they pay to walk away.Vivint should not be allowed to continue operating this way, unchecked and unaccountable.       Sales ***resentative swindled me into switching to their alarm company. Was promised a buyout amount to switch. Was informed that if the amount submitted needed to be changed he would do so; that was not the case. Contacted the sales *** more than once, was told he would contact the buyout department, to correct the amount, he did not. Contacted the buyout department and the customer service department multiple times. Just to be given the run around. Finally received a loyalty ***resentative that said they wouldn't charge me 2 months of their service while I figured out how to pay the $800 buyout difference to old my company and was still charged. I thought I was getting a good deal switching and now I regret it. I am $800 in the hole and paying more monthly. I am currently paying both services as I have to the full buyout amount to cancel old service. I am just sick.

      Zero stars! DECEPTIVE, MANIPULATIVE AND PRICEY! Dont sign a contract for them! They were supposed to buy out my previous system and didnt! They just raised the prices! Sales *** said remember youre in contract! I said remember you ***s deceived me! NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR HASSLE

      Im still trying to wrap my head around how this company manages to hold a B+ rating after the avalanche of horrifying reviews. Hi there count me as one of the unlucky folks who fell into the same trap and let a Vivint *** into my home.Heres the kicker: we did everything right. We followed the cancellation guidelines to the letter. We filled out the cancellation form on time, emailed it so it was documented, and called every other day to check in. The initial response? Please wait, someone will reach out to you.Weeks passed. Still nothing. We kept calling, demanding answers, asking them to remove their now-useless equipment. And now? Their ***s are telling us, We dont have any documents on file. Excuse me? Because we do. We have the documents. Right here. But apparently, thats still not good ********* yes, I can personally confirm: this company will do whatever it takes to trap you into keeping their so-called trial system no matter how carefully you follow their rules or how well you document the process.

      I have been completely unsuccessful in ********** my service with Vivint. I owned all my equipment and paid the monthly service fee on time every month, via automatic payments. Despite several calls speaking to a different customer service agent each time, they still continue charging me monthly and late payment fees. I have now blocked them from email and phone calls. I have now moved and live in another state. I dont want to leave any stars but this site will not allow 0 stars.

      I would give this company a 0 star rating if I could. I have been with them for 11 years. I have tried for the last year to get off their services. I have had been given the run around several times. Evetime the contract that is first signed has been up for years now and every time i called they told me that i still had a few months on my contract. That happened serval times and still no resolutions. Same old story. I have started to document all calls and have them send me email conformation of agree terms before i get off the phone. I have several emails with document lies. I am at my last straw with this shady company.

      When we sold our home they steered us away from transferring our monitoring to the new owner. When we paid off the equipment, our contract said we could cancel the last year of monitoring, but they sold us on deferring our cancellation to see if wed want Vivint in our new home. Then a year later we just started getting billed, called to say we didnt want Vivint and they said because we deferred a year without any service we owed a full year to cancel. They deceived us when we wanted to cancel prior and instead dragged us through so many hours of calls that we had no choice but just pay to make it go away. They spent more money dealing with us on our calls than the year was worth, and instead of us using them again - we will use any system other than Vivint. Purposely misleading people is not good business - its short term $ and I hope they go out of business.
