Sales tactics are deceitful & pry upon genuine parental needs for their children to mislead them into a service contract that is based on false promises. Sales *** told me that they would buy me out of my ****** contract. I told them I did not know how much I owed & they said "Do not worry about it, we will take care of it." However, that was a lie only towards it.Due to not having an extra $800 to pay out of pocket to buy myself out of my Brinks contract, I called Vivints customer service & explained my disappointment on the deceptive sales tactics. After being on the phone for hours they gave an additional amount but still wouldn't cover the entire buyout. I am a mom of 6 I do not have hundreds of extra dollars to put towards buying myself out. So I decided to just pay both my *************************** BRINKS every month because paying my monthly payment of $60 to BRINKS until the balance was low enough to use the **** gift card from VIVINT to pay it off was the only option since I did not have the $100's of dollars I could put at once. I discussed this plan with ***************************** said that, "It was probably the best bet"Once I got the Brinks balance low enough I went to go pay the amount off with the $1500 VIVINT gift card but it expired. I called the card company which stated it expired & they refunded the money back to the ********** would need to call VIVINT.I talked to 4 people, 1 which was a manager, who stated they could not do anything for me. That it's my fault for not paying attention to the expiration on the card. Even after explaining why I couldn't use the card to pay off BRINKS because of the out of pocket I would have to pay. She said, "That was something I should of figured out." Saying it in the most condescending way as I was crying & hyperventilating on the phone about how could their company corner people that and they can see I DID NOT use the $1500. It got refunded back to ********** just said, "Well you should have used the card when it was valid."

Just bought a house where the seller left behind a fully wired security system installed by this Vivint. I called and explained that I was under contract with *********** and asked if they would buy me out and let me use the existing equipment. I was told I would get a $500 buyout credit, pay $56/month and they would give me a new panel. I go to set up billing and they tried to charge me $800 for the panel. I called again and confirmed that the panel already installed was fine and to remove the charge. I paid $100 to activate the existing panel in my name, it was all done via text message, no one came out. I asked again what was required to get my buyout, I was told to provide proof I paid the cancellation fee. When I provided proof I was then told I was ineligible because you have to buy new equipment. It was never explained to me that new equipment was required for a buyout. I got my new contract canceled. Now I am still out the over $600 I paid to cancel my Front Point contract, that I never would have done if Vivint would have been upfront with what was required.

0 stars. I have extreme dissatisfaction with the service and installation I received. On May 21st. ****, a sales representative, visited my home and promised a 30-day free trial, assuring me that I would not be charged if I chose to cancel within that period. He failed to disclose that billing wouldbefrom two separatecompanies. The installation on May 21st was problematic. The technician appeared untrained, and while attempting to install the system, he damaged the tile wall in my bathroom. The installation itself took approximately 7-8 hours. The technician seemed disengaged and left a significant mess for me to clean. Additionally, his explanation of the system was rushed, lasting less than five minutes, and the alarm code he set up is incorrect, causing issues when disarming the system. The "smart smoke detector" has also malfunctioned repeatedly, triggering false alarms even when no cooking is occurring.I first called to cancel my service on June 18th, within the promised 30-day trial period. I was informed that the company needed to contact the sales agent to confirm the 30-day trial, as my contract stated a 3-day trial. I called again on June 21st, the end of my 30-day trial, to follow up. The *** assured me that the delay in contacting the sales department (which takes 3-5 business days) would not affect my cancellation, and that my cancellation would be honored based on my original call on June 18th. On June 23rd, I called again. While on the phone, the *** was able to reach the sales agent and recorded the conversation, assuring me that the recording would be attached to my cancellation submission. However, a couple of weeks later, I was informed that my cancellation request was denied because the recording was not attached. 10 calls and almost 3 months later and I am still dealing with them because they do not want to honor anything. False information and lack of training with there employees. DON'T LET THEM SCAM YOU!

Did not care for the service after I received it. I joined because I was told I would have a 30 day money back guarantee I canceled at 26 days because I was not satisfied. They would not send me my money until they came and got the equipment which took 4 months for them to come get the equipment. Now that they have the equipment they will not give me my money back and just keep telling me they have to escalate it to someone else. It's been 6 months and I haven't got my money back. They owe me $250

DO NOT DO BUSINESS! They are impossible to trust. I have been trying to get this account closed for about 6 weeks, nothing but a run around ,the agents are very difficult to understand, they don't tell the truth about what is going on, they change dates to be in their favor. I feel I was pressured in to buying this can't even contact the sales person who was in the area. Once again DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY they are just plain out right rip off people.

I was a customer for 20 years with *******, I believe the original owners sold to foreign buyers, I can never get anyone who speaks good English. During a move ******* repeatedly placed me on hold for no less than 10 minutes - at times 45 min to offer help. ******* scheduled a move for my equipment and never showed but held me responsible. Even expedited installation and a second time failed to show but held me responsible. I tried to cancel my subscription for over 4 months and was on hold for a total of 72 hours during this time. Wasted so much of my life explaining their incompetence and lack of service. They still continue to bill me even with no service of 4 months. Definitely do not do business with these crooks.

I got camera and a door bell from Vivint. Was told I could cancel at any time. Which is ture but will cost 900 dollars to cancel. I also was never told that they would be put a loan on my credit. I would give them negative starts if I could.

we had vivint for 7 years. we just moved to a retirement community, where, of course, we have no need for vivint. it took an hour to cancel, with being put on hold 14 times. this is a ludicrous length of time. I had to pay $400 to cancel. I will NEVER recommend vivint to anyone.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Yesterday their salespeople came to my door three separate times despite the clearly posted No Soliciting sign. Later, one of them pressured my husband into letting him inside. When I pointed out the sign and told him they should respect it, he completely ignored me.Even worse, he left the door wide open, letting our cats get out. My daughter and I had to stop everything to chase them back into the house while he stood there and laughed. That is not only unprofessional, its downright disrespectful. This company clearly does not respect boundaries, does not train their staff properly, and does not care about the impact of their actions on families. If you see them coming, dont answer the door.

Sales team was on my area. They showed me the system that would be best for my house. After seeing all that i asked how much my system was worth and they kept on showing me more options but failed to disclose the actual price of the system. When they were done with their presentation they told me it was going to be a monthly charge of around $50 dollars. I talked it over with my wife and we agreed to go ahead with the deal. After the installation which was at 11:30 at night they finished the installation and i was handed their phone to speak with someone in financing and thats when i knew the price. The installers told me i had 5 days to cancel without any penalty. I was shocked after learning the price and called in at 8am next morning to cancel. I talked with a supervisor and he apologized about the wrongful doing of them not disclosing the cost of the system and we even talked about some additional training to their sales personnel about how to present the cost to customers. Supervisor offered to make up for the wrongful doing by suspending 13 months of billing totaling $800. I agreed and kept the system. After many months passed my wife made a comment that she thought we were getting 13 months free but we were still getting charged. After inspecting and knowing this was true i emailed the supervisor and asked for an explanation. It took weeks for him to get back with me and i told him it was unacceptable and wanted to part ways with Vivint. He offered a refund and 4 additional months and he had not responded to my email nor have seen his offer. At this moment i want to part ways with Vivint for being a dishonest company and for them not to hurt my credit.
