      I am writing to formally file a complaint against Vivint, a company whose business practices are deceptive, misleading, and clearly designed to take advantage of consumers. I was promised a gift card as part of a promotion or incentive, yet to this date, I have not received it. When I attempted to follow up, Vivint claimed they could not find any record of the promise and refused to issue the gift card.This is not just a minor oversight; it reflects a pattern of behavior in which Vivint makes promises to entice customers, then fails to honor them once the customer is committed. Combined with their notorious practice of locking individuals into long-term contracts and using aggressive tactics to enforce them, it is clear that Vivints business model relies on exploiting consumers and creating unnecessary financial stress.These actions are unacceptable and potentially unlawful. Consumers should not be misled into signing contracts or making decisions based on promises the company has no intention of keeping. Vivints refusal to honor a simple gift card commitment demonstrates a lack of integrity and respect for its customers.I urge the ******************** to investigate Vivints practices, hold them accountable for misleading promotions and abusive contract policies, and take action to protect consumers from further harm.

      One day I finally made time to go through their cancellation transfer portal . I had attempted to do this earlier but I always hung up during the torture sessions. Unfortunately after over an hour of being transferred around an ***** location I couldn't take it an longer and I hung up. Later a company *** called with a faux voice of concern and asked to help. Vivint actions are intentional and should be illegal. Has anyone ever looked into legal action? How wonderful to have a system where you retain customers for life. "You can check out but you can never leave."Needless to say I'm a very unhappy previous customer. Which brings up another point. How can I continue to get charge when the terms of the original contract have been satisfied and I contacted them to stop billing me? I'm fighting with Amex now because the reinstated my dispute of the charges after Vivint contacted them. The fight continues!!

      You get 5 star treatment when signing up for the business.The smart home features are useful and service/support is great 24/7 - but I am on my third call with support trying to cancel my account.Unlike any other support call option, the cancellation option goes to an offshore call ********* first call, after confirming that what I want to do is cancel my account I was put on hold indefinitely.The second time I was hung up on.The third time I was asked to explain myself and then was subjected to a grueling line by line script with ridiculous offers to buy more services as well as discounts that went from $30 to $28 and finally $24 a month. Once I confirmed that I want to cancel through the entire script, you get a verbal agreement about how "cancelling the account means that you want to cancel the account which means your account will be cancelled". Then you get a notice that it takes THIRTY days to close the account and that this is the normal process, you will have to pay your account one more month (against your will) and they may refund it.Honestly if it wasn't for all of this trouble, I would have thought that Vivint was a company that I would recommend in the future. I have recommended it to others before and I now regret doing so, knowing that one day those people that use it will have to go through all these hoops to end a service that they don't want anymore.I am beyond disappointed at these kind of business practices, a good service will sell itself and have no need to keep its claws on you when you don't want it. ***** this company at all costs and find another company.

      Bad Deal! Do not use this service. They lock you into a five year contract then provide horrible service. My system still is not working properly. I would never recommend to company to anyone. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE COMPANY!

      I was approached by a sales representative for vivint he ordered me a $200 gift card (never received). Poor quality equipment since week 2, when I complained I was told I would be charged for someone to come out. I was told my bill would be $66.67 a month for 59 weeks and have been charged 76 dollars every month but this month I was charged $125. *** requested call backs with no results. *** requested to cancel service. I received a claim numerous last night and promised a call back and still nothing. Ive been scammed!!

      Since Vivint upgraded the system, it is no longer compatible with my home the thermostat and the cameras do not work. Called and complained and was told I have to pay 1000 dollars to cancel a system that is no longer compatible. Stay far away from this company. You will get the run around and phone tag with 4 different departments and supervisors with no satisfaction or accountability of their system not working properly

      From the beginning the front door sensor has never worked. It wasnt properly installed, the employee left all of the trash from equipment in my attic. But vivint sure wants the monthly payments. Even though I have never once been allowed to enable security due to the faulty installation. No effort to fix it at all. Very difficult to cancel also.

      Vivint acct: *********. feel that this company displays poor integrity and ethics . On 24 Sep 2024 I requested cancellation due to my service not working for over 6 months (prior to March 2024). (camera and door **** not working). I sent the email to support @************************. No technician ever came to assess the problem. No one responded to my message. We are seniors and don't need to endanger ourselves climbing ladders or trying to play with electrical. Prior to the email; both my wife and I tried to resolve this. We should be refunded from March 2024 to the current and our termination done with a cancellation letter along with an apology letter. As of this writing, we are still being charged for services we have not been receiving. We mailed the system back . We have another security company. Your company wanted us to pay a fee to have someone come out. The company voided the contract by not providing services and is illegally charging for a service it's not currently providing. It's like going through a maze getting a resolution (being referred to multiple people, being placed on hold and being hung up on). We need the company to reimburse us from March 2024 to current, provide cancellation letter, and letter of apology.

      I have had Vivint for a few years and have had problems with my cameras since purchasing the security system. After completely paying for the cameras, I tried to cancel the monitoring, I spent more time on the phone with multiple people, than it would take to get a root canal. They always want to lower the monitoring cost a few dollars. Plus if you are not paying them to monitor your system, then the app doesn't work.

      The products are great. But they won't let you cancel even before the canceling time frame. They offer months of free service when you try. And they leave you with an active account. And continue charging on monthly basis. And all the agents tell you that they will send you a refund for different amounts. But they don't refund your money back. They give it as a credit on your canceled active account . That you canceled from Start. I want out of Vivint. Someone needs to stop them from stealing from the poor.
