DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The customer service is horrendous. The equipment is junk and you pay an obscene amount of money for c*** that doesn't work more than half the time. I moved 3 years ago and had to leave it behind because when I asked to have someone come out and remove it so I could take it with me since I was still paying for it. I was told, "We don't do that. You have to remove it if you want it." So, I'd have big holes in the walls with wires sticking out. So, I had to leave the equipment and have continued to pay over $120 every month for a service and equipment I don't have access to and can't use. The end of March I'd had enough and called Citizens, a sister company of Vivint to get the payoff to be done with it. I'm given a number and I pay it immediately. I then call Vivint, tell them I've paid off Citizens for the crapoy equipment I haven't had for 3 years. They said, let me confirm you paid it off. They did that and said ok, it will take 30 days to finalize closing the account. Didn't make sense to me but ok, I'm done with you. Now, May 1st, over 30 days since I paid it off, I'm getting phone calls that I am behind in my payment to Vivint. WHAT? So, Vivint gets Citizens on the phone and the proceed to tell me, oops the customer service person you spoke to in March made a mistake and you still owed an additional monthly payment. Well, guess what? That's not my problem. I was given a dollar amount as the payoff and that's what I paid. You figure it out. I've paid more than $5000 for crappy equipment that I don't have, more than $2,000 for for a service I have not used in 3 years. And now, Citizens wants almost $70 after I paid over $5,000. And Vivint will continue to bill me for services I do not receive until Citizens closes the account that should have been closed over 5 weeks ago. Neither of these companies know what they are doing other than taking money for lousy to nonexistent service and equipment that does not work as promised. STAY AWAY!

Worst system and customer service hands down. You basically pay them for the system, monitoring and to fix it because the customer service is virtual with video links to "fix" your system which aren't helpful unless you're changing a battery. HORRIBLE... DONT DO IT.

Terrible experience so far. The equipment constantly breaks and needs replaced. The cameras take FOREVER to load on the app. doesnt matter if im on wifi or not. Id rather not have cameras than pay for high prices for their equipment and service.

I wish there was an option for negative stars. These people are crooks. They lie to you when they come to your door about upgrading for free, not raising your monthly bill, offer you all these great deals, and opting out at any time, then start charging extra and changing everything that was promised. Then when you try to cancel they charge you a very large cancellation fee, even though it states, NO CANCELLATION FEE, in your contract. Then trying to get help on the phone with these people is even worse. I cancelled over the phone and they still keep charging me. The guy I spoke to on the phone pulled up our previous conversation that showed they were wrong and said, "Well, I can credit you half your money since you were right." Do your self a favor and go buy your own equipment and monitor it yourself because these people are just as bad as the government. Lying crooks!

They are horrible with customer service. They dont do what they say. They try to rob you then lie and say they would remove the charges. Its gone today and back on tomorrow. Refund you tomorrow it charge you the same amount the next day. The reps are nasty and rude

Vivant Security is a scam artist. My father who has mild alzheimers had the extreme misfortune to be conned by Vivant and Citizens Bank. The salesperson who scammed my father out of a huge sum, he acknowledged to me verbally that pops had been falling asleep during the sales presentation. He witnessed my father not really understanding what was being presented and attested to this fact verbally. The salesperson was not at all dissuaded by the fact pops has dementia, and doesn't understand the contract terms. He tried to explain how easy it was to cancel, it is not easy. They eon't cancel my father, they won't take the equipment back. They have financed an old man to death with high monthly payments. I sat in on a portion of the sales presentation and the 4 times when my father fell asleep the guy just kept talking, he didn't check for awareness or understanding. He didn't even ask if my father has used his old paid off alarm system in the last 10 years. Pops uses a flip phone because he can't figure out how to use a smart phone, he's 84 and they sold him a system that requires a smart phone to access. These guys are true con artists. Any salesperson who acknowledges to family that the buyer "has no idea what they are signing" Shouldn't be allowed to do business.

What a scam. Issues noted at day 2. Worked with support for 28 days to resolve them. Ensured they would be resolved. Day 31, tried to cancel and return, Vivant refused. One day past the 30 day trial even though support ensured our issues would be resolved. This is the short story. Just take our word for it, save your money. Go with ring, or any other service provider. Stuck in a 5 year contract. Lied to about cost… just stay away. If anyone has a class action against this company please contact me. If any lawyer wants to start a class action against this company, please contact me. I genuinely am appalled with this company for what they do to families.

My mother is 85 and was sold this a few years ago and it's never been of any value. She can't tell me why she bought it except the salesman was nice and called her cable company and got her a discount so she signed the papers. About $6K later, she still has no idea what it does. But she signed the papers so we'll ensure it's paid. I've reached out to the company multiple times and they just advise we have a contract for five years. My mom won't allow me to act on an elder abuse complaint.

Vivint are a bunch of thieves. I sold my home back in September 2023. I called Vivint to cancel the service and was told I had the option to transfer the service to the new owners. The new owners called Vivint, and had Vivint out the next day to transfer the service. Vivint then proceeded to withdraw funds from my account for four months, while collecting from the new owners. I had to finally close the bank account to stop them. I called and called and called! Hours on the phone and endless promises made to resolve the issue. Finally, Vivint promised to refund the money in March 2024. Instead of sending the promised check, they applied the refund as a credit to the imaginary bill, then sent me an additional bill for the $58.00. Vivint double dipped for four months, collecting payment from the new owners and stealing payments from my account. Five Stars as the most shameful, disgraceful and dishonest group of con-artists I have ever come across. One Star for honesty, integrity and professionalism.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Ive been trying since 3/20/24 to cancel this account and its still not cancelled. First, I was told that I had to wait 7 business days for my payment to process. I called back on 3/29/24 then I was told they couldnt cancel the account because I had one more billing cycle. I called back on 4/8 and was told that I needed to send a written request to cancel. I sent the written request on 4/8/24. I also made another payment on 4/8/24 but I received another billing statement. I called on 5/2/24 and was told that it takes 30 days (after receiving my cancellation notice) to cancel the account. This is the most frustrating experience Ive had in canceling an account. The billing hasnt stopped. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
