      Vivent is the worst company to deal with! I have been trying to cancel for months now and even after paying over $2000 for the useless equipment and sending a formal cancelation letter they are still sending me bills! I cannot tell you how many wasted hours I've with this scam of a company.

      Worst customer service ever , We had a appointment from 8 am until 4 pm and have documentation showing the appointment, they no show no called. When we called back they said they cant get out for another 2 weeks and they forgot to put in the order. It has already been 2 weeks. it will be over a month to get a system fixed and they offered a $15.00 credit. We have had multiple issues like this in the past and the system itself constantly goes down and has issues and they don't even try to help. They have lied to my wife on the phone and there manager refused to get on the phone to try to discuss or resolve. go with any other system they live on the once they got you you cant leave business platform. Don't get caught in a contract with them.

      This alarm company is the absolute worst!! The customer service representative never comprehend and their solutions to my concerns are often shady. I'll be switching soon..

      Sold my house in October 2023 and left the alarm system. Called Vivint shortly after to cancel service since I no longer lived there or had the equipment. I was under no contract. When I called, I owed $0 but the rep evidently only put me in “deferred” status. But he KNEW I was canceling. IT WAS CRYSTAL CLEAR THAT I DID NOT WANT TO CONTINUE SERVICE. New owner established service under his name. Vivint tells me I’ve been billed since I didn’t cancel correctly. So, I guess Vivint has been monitoring the same address under my name and the new owner’s name at the same time - Interesting! But, in a conversation with one today, the Vivint rep apologizes, tells me she understands and that she’s on my side. She comes back on with $100 off. Vivint still wants me to pay money that I DO NOT even owe. They act like they’re doing me a favor of giving me $100 off of that BOGUS BILL.

      I wish I had seen the Yelp reviews before I installed Vivint.I was with AOL for over 25 years... great service. I just did not like how you have to sign into 2 different websites, while Vivint integrates everything.The reason for my poor rating is the horrible customer service.1. They are doing everything they can to save money and not really help people. They must be sourcing out their customer service (based on the accents of the customer service people).2. I had my system installed last week and one camera is off line on the panel, and all of them are off line on the app. So, I called for help. I was on the phone for over 90 minutes, and bounced around to 4 different people, just to get a technician to come out to fix it plus to order 3 more cameras... SO FRUSTRATING and a waste of my time for a very busy person. My time is as valuable as theirs.3. Though I was hoping for a better integrated service than ADT, I have NEVER had customer service problems with ADT. You get a real, helpful person quickly after calling. I have never had to wait.4. Then today, I called again as they also did not give me a yard sign as promised. This time I decided to do the phone call and online chat at the same time to try to get faster help. I finally got help on the phone but it took over 25 minutes and 2 phone calls. The online chat was a huge waste of time. It was an AI digital computer chatter that tried harder on getting me to refer friends and family to them and never did solve my simple problem of shipping me a yard sign.If I had not spent $4000 getting the Vivint system installed, I would have quickly gone back to ADT. But, I am stuck and I dread any future problems and the need to call Vivint for anything.Stay away... go to the proven ADT that has been around for decades with good service and amazing customer service Dear Vivint: If you are reading this. you need to change and improve your customer service, SERIOUSLY! I'd never recommend you at this point.

      Customer service is really bad. They redid an old hardwired security system and the wiring is wrong and badly done. They won’t come fix it

      Worst security system ever. Window sensors and door sensors constantly go offline at the panel. App doesn't function well, tells you the door is unlocked when it is actually in the locked position. They will charge you for a technician visit when the system or equipment malfunctions. Otherwise they will ship you the replacement part and make you do the install yourself. (I hope you are tech savvy) The representatives are trained to constantly tell you they understand, when clearly they don't. They will call and text you for payment every month like a dejected ex lover. The Cameras don't work well and almost never record when there is movement in front of them. This is the worst alarm company ever. RUN from them. I never experienced this with ADT.

      This company doesn't even deserve One Star!Never trust what sales person promise upfront since they are not responsible for their words since they are NOT Vivint employees and you will never see them again. Vivint will come back to you with fine prints to collect whatever say in the thick contract paper you signed. Never sign up for Auto payment since it simply impossible to stop them taking out money for your account even after one year since I moved out from the house. I was trying to cancel the account when I sold my house 11 months ago and they hold me back for the equipment which actually financed through a new Credit card so you have to pay off the credit card even after you sold your house. They promised I will not be responsible for the equipment if I move out and can't transfer the account to new house but they lied to me and they keep collecting monthly fee even and force me to pay the equipment which I did even though I left them to my old house. Even after I paid off $1500 for the equipments they still collected monthly fee since they said my account wasn't properly closed. It's simply not possible to close your account period. Just run away from Vivint!

      Vivint is theee worst. I have nothing but issues with them. I went out of the country and someone was able to get into and out of my home without security or police showing up. Also, one of my cameras was not working and I asked for a technician to come out and assist with troubleshooting. I was informed by a representative over the phone that if I DID NOT do troubleshooting over the phone first, that I would be charged a $100 fee for a technician coming out to my residence. Upon completing troubleshooting, the issue was not resolved and therefore scheduled a technician to come out for further resolution. When the technician came out, I was again told I needed to pay a $100 fee. I asked why since the issue I could not have possibly managed to fix since the tech needed to completely replace my indoor camera. They stated to me that there is always a $100 fee for a technician coming out to a residence even if my systems are not working without a technician. This is terrible. This company, their equipment is faulty, their software is faulty, and their customer service is atrocious.

      I canceled all services over the phone and was told the last day of service and everything. Two months later, I noticed that they were still billing me. Apparently they sent an email (which went to my spam) requesting a formal cancelation via email before they cancel service. Then the continued billing you for another 30 days. A shady and untrustworthy way of doing business
