      I was promised a customer buy out and ********************** will not send it to me. They're liars. I have contacted my local new station and they'll be doing a story on this....be careful what they promise you. I have taken with their loyalty department 3 times and nobody calls me back.

      This company is a scam!!! If it sounds to good to be true, it is! We were promised a 30 day trial period. In less than a week we decided we did not want the system because it had issues and we have been through h*** since because they refuse to remove the system from our home. Now Im going to have to pursue legal action. This company has zero integrity! I dont know how these people sleep at night. I would give zero stars if I could. RUN!

      Trick you into signing up and runs your credit without being authorized, charges way to much and will not let you cancel their service. I've never ever had any service that will not let you cancel.

      If I could give zero stars I would. I moved out of state into a rental and could no bring the system with me. I called in Feb to cancel, I was told I needed to pay off the equipment, which I was under the impression was paid in full, was not. I paid off the equipment, then was informed that I needed to pay almost $1,000 to buy out of my contract. I never signed a contract! I informed them of this and had to be escalated to a manager who did discover that I had no contract in place. Let me just mention at this point I have had the equipment for over 2 years at this point. I was assured that everything was taken care and my account was canceled. Fast forward to March when charges showed up on my credit card for my monthly charge. I called Vivint where I went through the same thing again, being told that I have a contract I need to pay off, being escalated and told they can see where the account was supposed to be canceled and yet it still showed active and that I owe a balance. I was again assured it would be taken care of once I spoke with a manager. I was then put on hold for over 60 minutes, disconnected and nothing ever done. This has continues multiple times per month for the last 4 months in addition to daily harassing calls telling me I have a problem with my account that I need to take care of. Today I went through the same thing and was transferred 3 times, spoke with a manager and assured that the account was now canceled.

      Vivint is a scam. Been with them a year and a half and equipment has yet to work properly. Paid over $2K just for the panel after being quoted a much cheaper cost. I have a kitchen sensor that constantly chimes saying battery low. After calling multiple times, the customer service rep finally figured out that the sensors did not even belong to Vivint, so they are not compatible with the panel. They have not corrected the issue. I have not been able to open my garage from the app since we began using Vivint either. A technician came out and could not figure it out either, and one of my garage doors always show offline on my panel. Now my door **** is not working. I called to troubleshoot, and after over an hour on the phone of rebooting the panel and ******** Im told that the problem is that the doorbell is 10 years old and too old to sync up with the panel. Surprise surprise, they are willing to sell me a new doorbell for $250 and charge me a $100 installation fee for something they should have been checked on the front end. Its bait and switch. If I had known the true cost, I would have never gone with Vivint. I made the mistake of signing a 5 year contract with them before they installed the system. This has been a total nightmare. If you read this please stay as far away from Vivint as possible.

      A door-to-door salesman rang my doorbell even though there was a sign telling solicitors not to knock on the door or ring the doorbell. My wife works nights and does not need to be disturbed during the day. I answered the door and saw the solicitor with his tablet. I informed him that I wasn't interested and shut my door. My dog was going crazy barking at him, which is usually not the case. He waited about 15 seconds, rang my doorbell again, and walked away. I emailed Vivant customer service concerning the incident but have yet to have them contact me.

      This company lied to us since day one about pricing and the services we signed up for. My security system is currently hacked. They have done nothing to assist my husband and I from a company that has threatened our lives and have been harassing us which is why we go the system in the first place. My husband and I have no access to our account in reference to paying our bill. When we call them, the line stays busy for hours and we cannot access our account online ever. We have not received a paper bill since we signed up to this company. They charged us $15 dollars because we ended up having to call to make a payment despite never receiving a paper bill. We are paying for playback footage that does not work because we have been hacked and this company does not give a care but still wants money for terrible customer service, and equipment. Please be very wary of this company they do not have your best interests at hand and will cohort with anyone who is willing to pay them off. They are a total rip off. **************** does not speak proper English when you call, and the call quality is horrible. They know I've been hacked and have done nothing to investigate the situation.

      If I could give zero stars I would. We have had our doors unlock in the middle of the night, alarms going off while we sleep, and I was never informed I was signed a 60 month contract!!!! In order to get out of it they want a rediculous amount of money. I am having it uninstalled and will never use the equipment. Vivint is terrible.

      Vivint is a scam!!! We have contacted customer service numerous of times!! The installer had to shorten the doorbell camera to make it work, which resulted into the plug itself breaking off. Contacted and they said they would only fix it after paying a $99 service fee. The system itself is trash!! The cameras go online and offline frequently, they dont capture many events, the sensors go off repeatedly for no reason. Two nights in one week, the fire alarm went off at 2:30am, waking us in a panic, pulling our young kids out of bed, but it was a false alarm. It also woke the neighbors and scared the c*** out of us. We complained once again, no resolution so had to disconnect the fire alarm that was resolving the issue. When out to eat the glass break sensor kept going off, we rushed home, checked everything and nothing.. after we got home it went off a few more times and had to contact customer service to reset it. They wont let us out of the contract. I want them to take their c*** and be done with it, even though they drilled a hole in my pantry to place the smart hub. This is a nightmare!! Worst ever, stay far away from this company! We had our car burglarized recently but the camera went offline so it didnt even catch anyone on camera. What good is this!? Worst customer service and company!

      Minus 5 STARS: I moved from a condo to a house April 2024; had my Vivint system reinstalled at the house 4/20/24. Approx May 2-3, I noticed I had not heard the deter noise when I passed by the outdoor camera. The app showed the camera had not worked/recorded since April 27, (7 days after installation). I park by the camera daily, so there should be a recording eveyday. I called cust *********** had me running around like a chicken w/its head cut off (go outside to the garage; unplug camera (twice); get on ladder to check something on the camera (it didn't matter that I told them I had 2 bad knees & didn't feel comfortable climbing a ladder). After ***** minutes I couldn't tolerate it anymore & ended the call. When I calmed down I called again & the rep wanted to take me through the same script. They said the alterative was to send a tech for $100. I told them that after 7 days, clearly there was an issue w/the ********** should not have to pay. I finally agreed to have them send a tech. May 17, a different tech installed a cluster of plugs/adapters that are so unsightly & bulky on my wall, I have yet to find anyting to hide them. The adapters didn't solve the problem. I'm still consistently having same issue w/outdoor camera and the doorbell camera going offline. Last night 5/30/2024 I contacted cust. serv. about the same problem. He ran thru the same script & wanted me to do the same tasks which I told him that I had just done 10 minutes prior to calling customer service. After ***** minutes I left the chat & went 2 sleep w/cameras offline. Going offline, particularly the backyard outdoor camera (which is my primary concern) is a continuous problem that occurs multiple times a week. **************** is horrible. After less than 30 days I shouldn't be having these issues. The last thing I feel is secure w/a Vivint "insecurity" system. I absolutely hate this company. Character limits prevents me from detailing full extent of my dissatisfaction.
