1 starMoved during pandemic from So CAL to ******* in 2020 for the "newly updated" rent of $985/mo. Apt had new carpet and paint, but was otherwise in poor condition. Roaches literally spilling out of cabinets, on the ceiling, etc. Large hole in the drywall under the kitchen sink, both bathroom sinks leaking and moldy (also very short bath counters?), cabinet wood was old/ rotting, with a coat of cheap paint on the doors. Rotting drywall in bathrooms, mold in the tub grout, rusted/rotting faucet fixtures cheap materials generally, creaky floors (decibel test just walking is like a vacuum running), missing window screens, and more. After 3 months of maintenance staff coming in (during lock down) to make it livable, a worker came in to fix rotting drywall in bath, & rude when I asked him to fix the grout mold, I stopped asking for repairs. They raised the rent up to $1256 last year, and wanted to raise it to $1606 this year (almost 40% over our move in after 3 yrs!). They justified each rent increase with the 'hot' market, but there were ***** empty units at any time, and would not do any upgrades. Had to give 2 month's notice to leave at end of the lease, which forced me to have to pay double rent for two months- I barely made it out, but this forced me to pay an extra $3800 in rent/fees or choose to stay for another $4200/yr! On top of this, the noise just from us walking on the floor to go to the bathroom at night caused downstairs neighbor to complain. When we tried to appeal to the office, they callously laughed and said "well, we can evict you right now!", and told us we had "one more strike". I did get most of my deposit back (I cleaned the place much better than I moved in), but they completely remodeled the day after, and now post the place at $1668/mo (only $68/mo more than they were renting to us with NO upgrades?), and it has so far been vacant- how are they so greedy that they will kick us out to have a vacant apartment?Review fromRhonda K

1 starThis complex is ran by the rudest individuals ever! All females complex and does not care if a female is locked out of her apartment alone at night. This is NOT considered and emergency even though their automatic locking doors closed too quickly behind a female. If I could leave a zero I would.Greystar

1 starGreystar manages a property called Broadstone *************** in Downtown *********. I currently live in Unit 301 which was built above their gym on the second floor. This unit DAILY receive vibrations, rattles, and THUDS from people slamming/dropping weights. The gym is also open 24/7. I was unable to tour the unit since I was re-locating, as ***** kept referring me to the visual tour on ******* which didn't show the construction across the street either. If you are attempting to live comfortably for $4400 a month, avoid this property. The management team did not help me in any fashion to resolve my issue. Often quoted calling me "a light sleeper" even though the street sirens and music are no issue for me -- "the light sleeper". The noise experienced often keeps me from being able to nod off and sleep, usually I'll have to wait for the gym members to leave and hope I can fall asleep as the vibration are so violent they shake my furniture. There has been no efforts to accommodate are even attempts to address the issue and the only solution they gave me was to move me into a new unit, under a new lease, for a higher price. The main person who shows a lack of empathy is the head manager *****. I sent them a legal notice of breaching renters rights and their response was that "the noise is expected" even though there was no prior notice, or even listed in the lease. WHAT A SCAM. There are other troubled units: 103 and 104 are next to the garage and complain about the shaking of their apartments. If you decide to live here, DO NOT LIVE IN THE NORTH WEST CORNER and avoid living in the street units. Spend your money somewhere else and let them continue to scam others into these units that are "expected to have noise".Review fromMatt P

1 starCharged $400 flat fee for tiny drywall repair, charge whatever they want for minor repairs, take all of your security deposit, no recourse and then send you to collections a year later. They never answer the phone.Greystar

Dear Matt P****,
We understand your concerns and would like to address them as best as I can.
Firstly, we apologize for any frustration or inconvenience you have experienced. It's important for us to ensure that all our residents feel fairly treated and heard. Regarding the repair charges, our team follows a standard pricing structure that is in line with industry practices. However, if you feel that the cost for the drywall repair was unreasonable, we would be open to reviewing the specific details of your case.
Concerning the security deposit, it is standard procedure to deduct costs for repairs and maintenance from the deposit. We strive to be transparent about these deductions. If you believe there has been a mistake, we encourage you to provide us with more details so we can look into it.
We regret to hear that you've had difficulty reaching us by phone. We are continuously working to improve our customer service experience, and your feedback is valuable in this process. If you haven't done so already, you may also reach out to us through email or our resident portal, which might provide a more direct line of communication.
Finally, if you have been sent to collections, this would typically occur after multiple attempts to resolve any outstanding balance. We understand this can be distressing, and we are willing to discuss possible solutions with you.
Please contact us at your earliest convenience so that we can address your concerns more specifically and work towards a resolution. Your satisfaction is important to us, and we appreciate the opportunity to make things right.Review fromAlexander D

1 starI have to run the bathtub tap at 100% flow for 14 minutes to receive hot water. Greystar has insisted that this is functioning as designed, and the heater is simply too far from my apartment, so i need to “suck all the cold water out of the pipes”. This is enough water to fill up an entire bathtub until it hits the overflow valve. I need to do this every time hot water is needed.
I have also needed to write 50+ maintanence tickets in 10 months.Review fromJesse L

1 starI moved out of Avana Southview and was charged for carpet replacement even though they renovated my old unit and put down wood floors. I was contacted by an agent who told me that any and all questions should be directed to him as he is the primary contact on my case. I requested a work order for the alleged carpet replacement and their agent simply disregarded and ignored any and all of my attempts to cooperate with him in order to resolve my case. I emailed him numerous times, I called him every day twice a day for over a week and left a voicemail. After months of blatantly ignoring me the agent in question decided to push my debt off to a collections agency and now refuses to provide me any information or assistance with my case as it's now "out of his hands". Apparently these people don't have a shred of honor for the guy who caused all of this to happen to throw his hands in the air and say "not my problem" the audacity truly knows no bounds.Review fromAlejandro F

1 starI lived in one if the properties managed by Greystar in **********. I was and still Im, a conscious tenant. Always paid my rent on time returned the apartment in outstanding condition. Greystar came up with made up reasons not only to take my deposit, but also charged me even more fees. Although I had prove of how I had returned my apt, the laws of ************ allow this type of companies to ripped off their clients once they are not longer their clients. I see so many reviews of people who will treated as I was and all we can hope for is the divine justice.Review fromANTHONY T

1 starGreystar management is the management company of the ******************** Apartment at *********************************************************. I have been having so many problems with them as a offsite vendor/ Locator. It's been almost six months and they just keep telling lie after lie I'm waiting on approval and it's in the mail, but I have not received my $1848.00 check yet for my earned services. I have contacted their local corporate office and their headquarters about this matter. I'm not sure why they are posting online they are a good company that's not true. I rate them a negative zero by my rating and proof of what I am dealing with from Greystar management and the ******************** Apartment. Thanks ATR/ ******* *****Review fromAlbert E

1 starMe and my fiancé had LOOKED and APPLIED for apartment t HUE97. We dint get approved at that time and instead moved into a home. This was 4 months ago and we had still have not been given back our money from deposits! Greystar was supposed to have made HUE97 the receiver for our checks due to clerical issues with our check being delivered. While waiting and checking for our money we have been met with nothing but disrespect and avoidance. It has now getting o the pint to where PD is getting involved due to the extremes rudeness that is coming from HUE97's staff. This place so far from what I have seen shouldn't've be in business'.
