1 starI am very unhappy with the GreyStar management. They had the worst comprehension of natural disaster complaints when I was a tenant. I had very little interactions with the staff until the day I was a victim of a natural disaster when leasing with GreyStar Management.Review fromSoncelia B

1 starI lived at Lexington then they changed hands to Avana Lexington and this is where the problem comes in. I lived in Nashville a little over 2 years and I knew I would be moving for Federal employment. I contacted Avana's leasing office on the premise and by email several times informing them I would be moving out early. I requested several times a final amount since they do not accept payment through their portal in which to make a final payment. Their statement was "a cashiers check or cash." First off, what company ask for cash! That was a huge red flag but I wanted to just leave Nashville. I never did receive a final statement by email even after going back and forth for 2 months and it was as if they did not want a paper trail for my final statement. I visited the office twice to request a final statement and was told 5500. Then two days before my daughter was to arrive the office personnel stated "the month I lived in the apartment is deducted from the final amount so it would be 3769." It was somewhere around $3700. I had my daughter arrive with a cashiers check in hand and I finalized my business with Avana Lexington. Fast forward to November 2023 I receive an email stating I owe them 1250. I'm like for what? Keep in mind I received a credit for overpayment yet I'm being charged an additional $1250! It is April of 2024 and Avana has forwarded this amount to a credit bureau for "reletting" the apartment. Mind you the apartment rented in less than a week! Where is the proof the apartment set idle for a month or more. It's just their word it didn't rent and everything rents in Nashville within days. I would strongly advice no one rent from this shady rental company bc they will not provide proof of anything and you'll have to fight like I'm about to fight for the principle of the matter. I think they believe I'm out of state so I want bother with fighting them, but rest assured I will drag Greystar to Hell and back for this fraud! They rented the apartment!Review fromFarrane D

1 starI simply want my REFUND what I'm entitled too! ADRIANA C*******
Im so sick of having to call ADRIANA who doesn't work, she doesn't need to be over refunds if she is never in the office. Your refund portal to access refunds doesn't work. When you call the number and provided on the email, with the reference number given for your refund. The reps dont have a way of looking it up, was directed back to the leasing office where I had to wait 3 days for a phone for a woman who never answers the phone, left voicemails, emails, message sent from the operator of the corporate office . Then weeks later finally she calls back and take a day to resolve the issue. She Siad a check will be mailed out that was over a month and a half ago , Recently someone finally, responds to my original email inquiring about the refund and they stated I have an option of direct deposit or mailed check which would take 1-3 days , and its been over a month and a half , wasnt given a option for direct deposit. No check , no response. Im sick of this and honeslty its pathetic and she needs to be held responsible.Greystar

1 starI applied for an apartment. Abd the deposited was 825 dollars for **************** in ******** ** . On march 5th . I was denied . And when o asked when will I get a refund for apartment deposit ,they said I will get it back in five to ti ten business days . When five to ten business days past I contacted they company to ask where is my refund from denied application I applied for .then I was told four weeks and I will receive a email with electronic payment My four weeks is up and still no refund ..I do t think .. people should have to wait this long for they deposit if they were denied . Apartments should tell people about this policy before people apply.. I will like a refund ..its past the time and this is ridiculous! Dont not apply for apartments that collect payments . Thru Greystar . Ask questions first . Or you will be like me waiting on a email to get your money back .Review fromErnestine B

1 starThis apartment complex does not deserve a 1 star but its the least option. I move md there May 2022. Due to close by shopping, etc. Huge mistake ! Noisy every day and night! Informed the office of 1 neighbor only to have him oddly retaliate with me. So I finally got to exit that place . They gave false reasons why they kept my deposit ( I'd always have received my deposit from where ever I lived in the past). I took pictures to show how nice I left that unit.. Tenet law states a landlord cannot charge for normal wear /tear ( paint, basic cleaning). But they did. They also charged me for an extra days rent . I moved out on the 1st , did my walk through and submitted keys . But they managed to charge me exacerbated rent for the 2nd? I've been back and forth nearly 6 weeks and counting for my deposit. Please please if you plan to move to this apt complex or any that they manage . I would strongly urge you not to .Greystar

1 starMy interactions with this current leasing team has been far from what is expected from a so called luxury establishment. The current male leasing agent lacks communication and customer service skills. I am a Veteran and I pay my taxes I pay full price for my apartment and I have been here two years. My wife is a nurse, we know about serving and customer service something the leasing agent lacks.
Firstly I am a firm believer in consistency. CONSISTENCY MEANS HOLDING EVERYONE ACCOUNTABLE NOT CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS!!!.
Now the audacity that a leasing agent would approach me about my 15 pound dog being off leash..when using the potty is absolutely hypocritical when there are worse issues these guys don't take care of. You would have thought the way the agent came out, I was committing a crime. Secondly, what professional approaches a Tennant saying "you again." Aggressive much. Where is the respect" what is your mission, what are the standards when interacting with a Tennant. Is this how you train your staff. Should I give you tips on how to treat people, first with respect, second with dignity and thirdly with honor? Firstly my 3 year old dog has luxating patella issues (as in her knees dislocate when walking she needs surgery) she can barley walk... literally the only freedom she has is when she squats to Potty. I have to carry her to use the bathroom because the pain can be too great. But they wouldnt know that because the leasing agents lack empathy. Secondly if this was such a big issue they would have told me so 2 years ago. Not once in 2 years has this been an issue. Also there was a Caucasian dog owner opposite the leasing office with an old white dog that would potty without leash right where the leasing agents can see and ill tell you what he was never told anything.
Let's start with the dog vomit on my floor that was left for 5 days even after I brought it to their attention or dog feces left for 2 days that I picked up.
Respect the tenants please!!!!Review fromLecy S

1 starThis is the first year under Greystar Management. I have resided here under three management companies. The customer service in the leasing office is by far the worst I have experienced in my 6 years of living at this property. The focus of the management is the leasing of apartments (new tenants) and there is little in support of pre-existing tenants. There are long waits to speak to any human whether in-person or via phone. I recently dealt with a leak in my bathroom ceiling which was due to the tenant above. When calling to report the initial complaint over the weekend, there was no response from the emergency number. In the past, we would receive a response from the on call maintenance. The leak has occurred again and the property agent answering the phone was unsympathetic and rudely rushed me off the phone when I submitted the report and shared that my elderly mother slipped and nearly fell. I was appalled at the lack of empathy. I am very unhappy with the focus on numbers and not people.Review fromUrjit b

1 starThis is the worst building management company. Their staff has no compassion, they nickel and dime you for every small thing. Took away the package delivery facility which was included in the rent and replaced it with a paid third party service which requires you to be at home all the time to get delivery because there is rampant theft from the buildings (fillmore apartments in *************). The management never works towards solving problems for people.Review fromYolonda Y

1 starWe wound up, asking to break our lease after our upstairs neighbors caused a lot of issues for us and my service animal wound up getting attacked by another animal. we were told one thing by the community and then we heard nothing for 35 days until I emailed about our move out due to Florida laws as soon as I sent that email we got hit with a bunch of collections emails from the internal collections to which I promptly replied, and would not hear a response back for one to two weeks it seems they have one person working all of their collections. Who is Demi B******* they will provide us with a tracking number to prove that they sent a letter on a letter that we never received and they’re asking us to pay over $2000 even though our neighbors caused all of the issues
