Horrible!! Do not EVER I repeat EVER use this rental company/ property company they are horrible from customer service to how they manage there properties. They treat residents like trash and don’t care about the people who are living in there crappy not well made apartments it’s insane and I can’t believe I was fooled into living at one of there properties. Horrible living conditions and this office itself has the worst customer service I’ve ever seen again the guy at the front desk should be fired for the way he talks to people and instead of addressing concerns blames the resident. And don’t contact me greystar, I tried to give you guys grace and all you did was spit in my face and disregarded my concerns. I’m going to make sure that EVERYONE is aware of how terrible your company and properties are.

Upon a family death and unfortunate loss, I called today the 24th to notify my apartments that due to having to leave state I can no longer take care of the apartment. Consequently I will take care of what’s to come but I will not be told I have to stay two extra months just to properly break a lease which means I have to pay TWO MORE MONTHS AT A DOUBLED RATE! I’ve never been in any apartment home like this where breaking the lease is a forced two months of imprisonment.

I've waited over 2 months to receive a deposit fee back on an apartment unit that I never leased. I chose to cancel the application the same day it was submitted and should have received $250.00 back. I've called several times, spoken to leasing managers who cannot provide any information on if the check was issued. Each time I call I am told to wait 30 days. It's a scam the funds are not returned to the original form of payment.

The. leasing office agents are unprofessional, rude and lied. i am a 61 yr old female, legally blind, and on SSDI. On May 5, 2024, I called and spoke to *****, who informed me that they had several 1x1 bed/bath available for $1,546.00 a month. At 1:00pm on May 5, 2024, my son drove me to the ************************************, the leasing office had 2 young women working in the office. I told them im low income senior and the rental price would be do-able. At which time they said we are raising on rent to $1,750.00 as of 6/1/2024. I said rent to me before prices are raised that way i will be locked in at $1,546.00 a month. They said we wont even take your application and if you do submit one, we will never rent to you. The girl stated that the rent for all tenants will be raised to $1,750.00. This Apartment complex has been a low income senior housing. And i know housing has no rent control but im almost certain that a tenant who has been there for years and paying $1,100 or$1,200.00 can bout be raised 25% rent increase. The leasing agents at the apartment complex need to learn compassion. and customer service skills. i have never been mistreated as the leasing agents treated me on 5/15/2024.

This apartment complex is beyond awful. When there is an emergency that affects your unit, just move out. Otherwise, they will want to move you to a temporary unit and it doesn't matter what you negotiate because of the inconvenience...they will follow up months later and say that there was a policy that "everyone agreed to". Then they will want to charge you utilities for BOTH units only to reimburse you once you move back to the old unit. Then (get this) if the temporary unit has an advertised increase in rent, they want you to pay the difference...all after placing you in that temporary unit and agreeing to paying the base rent for your old unit while it undergoes repairs.
Just move out and don't deal with the incompetence of the staff there. Stephen B*********, Patricia V********, and definitely Zahra'a E*****...absolutely negligent and incapable of doing anything right, especially after signing off of an improperly installed bidet on the 7th floor during unit checks in late May of 2023, just a couple days before it broke down and flooded that unit and cause severe water damage to the units below it, including the one I was living in.

They have not given me back my deposits and over payment that I was forced to submit. This was due back to me over a month ago. They even tried to bill me for things that were not valid and they admitted fault to. They don't answer calls and emails. When you talk to them in person (multiple times) they don't remember or put on on record so later it's again all messed up. They need to send me my money asap in full. I'm not even going to go into how many renters violations and rights they break on here because it's too much to type for this review. Huge scam.

Currently living in the apartment and have been since April of last year, we have never had any issues.
Yesterday we discovered my daughter's climbing structure was gone from in front of our apartment. We have had this in front for months! At least 7-8 months and the kids play daily. Me and my friend look around and we find it in the dumpster on the other side of the complex. I take a picture, seeing as it was broken. I go to the office, ask them and they say "you think we did it?" I mean, who else would get a child's toy and break it and throw it away? One of the office girls goes into the property manager's office, talks and comes out claiming they have asked me numerous times to move it. Wrong. I explain I have never received anything and I'm good about notices, emails etc. I ask for proof and they cannot provide any. I told them obviuosly if it was a problem I would have asked how we can fix it, move it, whatever. I am then asked to leave the office even though all I wanted was answers to why you can just throw someone' s property away considering more than half of the others have plants, play grounds etc. in their yard as well. Why mine? It may have been something simple, but it was my property that is estimated 150$ that came to be broken in the trash. Property manger was rude and kept talking over me claiming I was yelling, when in reality she was and it echoed through their office. I contacted corporate, and I'm writing this just to let it all out but expect them to give me compensation for the item. My daughter is super sad and it broke my heart seeing her face.

My son rented an apartment at ******* At **************** in *******, **. He was told that there is a $500 bonus for referrals. He referred a friend of his, who moved into the apartment. He was instructed that his $500 would be processed and should expect a check in the mail within 2-weeks. A month later, he contacted the office and was told that his referral needed to pay the second month rent, and their check would need to clear the bank, and then his check would be processed. The over the past month no one will provide any information about the status of payment. If Greystar does not want to comply with their obligations then they should quit creating false advertising! I would truly appreciate a follow up with one of Greystars executives to express my concerns and discontented with their policies.

Tried to apply to the ****** apartments, was declined due to an outstanding balance with a previous residence. Worked with Property Management of both places and got receipt of move out proving there was no outstanding balance. No response to claim for rereview from leasing within 48 hours. submitted my own claim and still no response 4 days later. Called with property manager ************ and he said there was nothing we could do but wait for the agency to review it, could've left me homeless.

Here is why I am not overlooking Aven Ridge's (Leander, TX) small imperfections. Greystar as a whole is horrible. When moving out, we cleaned the apartment from the top to the bottom. Everything was spotless! We were told they would come in, deep clean & that the carpets would not be brought up & replaced, we would NOT be charged with the basic cleaning. Well, they lied. We got hit with ridiculous charges in the end. One lady in the front office told us we did an amazing job if we were only charged for the cleaning of the carpets & painting of the walls. She even admitted that those who worked there and recently moved out ALSO got hit with outrageous charges & didn't see her deposit back. To us it sounded like they needed to redo what the builders messed up & those moving out are going to cover that cost. This lady laid out everyone's business. When asked to see pictures or proof that we had stains, they couldn't prove it. I showed my pictures & said it was the basic wear & tear of living there for 2 1/2 years. The cheap carpet is not my problem. All of the cleanings should have been basic things the APARTMENT should take care of for their next tenant. If you're thinking "Well I am super clean &this isn't going to happen to me" I thought the same. I am not the only one who has been hit with this scam Greystar and Aven Ridge are running. I've recently talked to others who have moved out and they all have the same story as me. I've also warned some who are still living there. EDIT: The assistant manager was willing to work with us and agreed we should NOT be charged for these things, but not Jenna the manager. She was going back and forth with my husband over private messages on Facebook saying we won't get our full amount back. So, our reviews will stay. I'd also warn people to take a look at Greystar's (management) reviews. Good luck if you decide to rent here. :)
