If I could choose 0 stars I would! BEWARE! The office assistant manager, Jajaira Cordero LIED to us! She will tell you one thing and then turn around and lie to save her job. She told us we would receive the remaining balance of $150.00 from the security deposit in 2-3 days, even took the address to where the check should be mailed and promised we would receive the remaining balance of the security deposit. The apartment was immaculate! We had cleaned it from top to bottom and shampooed the carpet to make sure there would be NO problems receiving the refund. After 10 days of waiting, my husband and I went in to see where the check was and we were yelled at, told that we were making up the story and that she NEVER told us that we would receive a check. The manager, Steph Sablan, intervened while we were being yelled at and told us "I will only deal in our policies." She would not listen to our side of the story without interruption. She stated several times that "JJ would never say those things." Well, JJ did OR we would NOT have gone into the office to find out when the check would arrive! Their "policies" are to lie and then scam you out of your money. DON'T RENT HERE! Even one of their former employees told us they are scamsters and dishonest people in the office and you won't see a penny of what you are owed!

I encourage potential renters to check out the NUMEROUS ONE star reviews on YELP!
All I can say is... BEWARE!! DO NOT RENT THERE, they do NOT care about the SENIOR RENTER they only care about themselves and the MONEY!! The Management is HORRIBLE! And they LIE! VERY POOR business practices!!

Graystar 2024, is by far the worst renters we have ever encountered.

Over the course of a year...
*It started with the move in special consignment fees, We payed full price.

      * They couldn't for months, get our rent correct.

      * The management team always blamed it on their third party management.

      * Somehow we owed more.

      * Charged parcel fees, water fees, gas fees, garbage fees, etc.

      * In the end forced to hire a cleaning service to clean the apartment and carpet upon moving out. Receipt to show proof.

      * Owner responsibility passed on to tenants.

      * THE COMMUNITY IS POORLY KEPT, except for appearances Hedges cut, grass cut. OH A STATE OF THE ART GYM PUT IN RESENTLY! Nice...

      * THERE IS DOG POOP THROUGHOUT THE COMMUNITY

      * TENANTS LEAVE THEIR TRASH PILES IN FRONT OF THEIR DOORWAYS BEFORE VALET PICKUP. LEAVING GROUNDS AROUND THE UNITS GROSSLY STAINED

      * THE GROUND ALONG THE COMMUNITY WALKWAYS OF THE UNITS ARE DIRTY NEVER BLOWN. NEED POWER WASHED! THEY ATTEMPTED TO DO SO! FAILED!!!

We couldn't wait to end this lease and get out of this money pit. We paid what was told us our prorated rent, and utilities, paid to have the apartment cleaned, an additional fee added on to our already stretched budget upon moving out. We had a deposit that they had already ceased, with all the fees. We Paid APS for our last month utilities, paid Bella Mirage for our last garage fees for the month we moved out. Received from Bella Mirage what we felt was our FINAL BILLING! Moved out on the 10th of September, even before that. The weekend before.

We are now in our new residence and what do we get to our forwarding address from BELLA MIRAGE!? A FINAL BILL FOR THE DATE OF THE 18TH-22ND FOR UTILITIES, RENT, GARAGE IN THE AMOUNT OF $800 DOLLARS!!! WE HAD MOVED OUT THE WEEKEND BEFORE THE 10TH WHICH IS WHEN WE RETURNED THEIR KEYS AND PAID OUR FINAL BILL!

We now have to address this issue, one that is self evident. We had already moved out. SO WHAT THE HELL!!!

Communication sucked when they managed the Gabriella *********** They also DID NOT communicate to the tenants when new management took over NOR did they communicate to the new management (*********) the current issues with current tenants accounts which has resulted in LOTS of confusion and unnecessary charges. I am pursuing legal action.

In the 2 years that I have lived in complex, I have had my car damaged on one occurrence, and the other totaled. The property management is sub par at best. Not to mention that in the last 2 weeks, the water supply has been compromised 3 times. Oh and finally, it took the maintenance a full week to address a toilet issue. This complex is not worthy to move to. Save yourself the tour, move elsewhere.Addendum: As of 10/2 the water has been s*** off for maintenance for a total of 5 times. The property management at this complex ensures sickening experience. It feels amazing to pay full rent and not have reliable access to running water.

Absolutely garbage. They charged us $1700 upon moving out, and then after we paid the charge, they sent us to debt collections claiming we didn't pay it. This place is awful and infested with roaches and other unlivable conditions. They really, really need to be shut down.

They recently changed their name to the Arlo of Olathe.

I had numerous problems at Sunela in Phoenix within my unit and outside unit. The worst of which was a loud humming sound from an AC unit that had been improperly installed right above my bedroom ceiling. This made it impossible to sleep at night or work from home during the day. After three sleepless nights and having to basically beg management to get someone out on a weekend, their great fix was to temporarily turn off the AC unit above my bedroom ceiling that was cooling the dog bath station. After maintenance finally turned off unit, I had already gone 72 hours without sleeping along with loosing income from my home office business. Maintenance claimed that it had been improperly installed (missing some sound dampening part). After the sound dampening part was installed, the loud humming did improve, however it was not enough of a difference to allow normal sleeping. This issue was by far the worst, but there were many others including terrible access into the garage and building with fobs that frequently malfunctioned and an app that sometimes also malfunctioned. After bringing up all these issues to management, the issues were not promptly or satisfactorily fixed. I opted to leave after only a week despite being forced to give a 30 day notice and pay a 2 month lease buy out. Of course, this was harsh given the numerous problems that I encountered just within one week at Sunela. I even offered to pay 1/2 of the break lease penalty, but management would not compromise. I did not meet anyone at Sunela that was happy to be living there. The “cherry on top” was them not honoring their $100 gift card move in promo despite making multiple requests to management who has failed to follow through. It is unbelievably unethical and a deceptive business practice to try and get new residents to apply within 24 hours of touring the property. Needless to say, I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Don't move here this motel garbage isn't worth the 1800 dollars every month. I moved in a "renovated and cleaned" townhome and nothing was done at all. It's got roaches, the ac leaks on electrical wires for the water heater, standing water in the water heater, no paint, no patches, dirty carpet, dishwasher broke, dryer don't work, chipmunk infestation, broken microwave, leaky sinks and bathtub, knobs just pull right sink,. Everything is a disaster when I asked for a rent chamfe til they fix it they told me they didn't have the power to do so. They swindle people in to paying rent as they renovate and clean" if they even do that. This is a nightmare. Don't rent from Avana South Oaks.

I had high hopes for living at Verano Townhomes, but unfortunately, the management skills here leave much to be desired. Communication is severely lacking; it often takes days to get a response to maintenance requests, and when they do reply, it’s usually with vague answers that don’t address the issue.

The staff seems disorganized, and it feels like they prioritize paperwork over residents’ concerns. I’ve had repeated issues with common areas not being cleaned regularly, and despite bringing it up multiple times, nothing seems to change. It’s frustrating to feel ignored when you’re paying for a service.

Additionally, the move-in process was chaotic. I was given conflicting information about my lease and amenities, which added unnecessary stress during an already busy time. Overall, my experience has been far from satisfactory, and I would not recommend Verano Townhomes if you’re looking for responsive and effective management.

Absolutely horrific. Scamming tenants on their utilities by increasing their meter usage without providing evidence. There is no ********************** prolonging any solve meanwhile tenants have 2k electric bills for months.

We lived at "Altair" in Escondido California, ( TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED), the moment Greystar took over the place "EVERYTHING" went right down the tubes, shannel sotelo is the manager, she is rude, arrogant and incompetent, greystar only cares about money, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE TENANTS, I lived there for 4 years and every year rent increased sometimes more than $200.00, they send you a monthly statement from conservice with all the charges on there, rent, utilities, sewage, water, maintenance fee, pest control fee. From the 4 years that I lived there I never saw any type of pest control truck or anybody spraying for pest, the pest control fee is a total (scam) to get more money, then there is a maintenance fee of $4.75 to print your invoice (scam) to get more money, greystar requires you to have renters insurance, I sent copies of my renters insurance to the office of greystar and also to the manager shannel sotelo to keep on file, shannel sotelo and greystar lost my copies and started charging me $10.75 a month on my invoice for their insurance while I was still paying for my insurance also
shannel sotelo will rebill you for services that you already paid for, on your invoice, your invoice will say for the month of June $50.00 for trash, $48.00 for sewage $60.00 for water and $2.50 for pest control, 4 months down the line in October shannel sotelo will bill you again for the same services you already paid for in June, she will say " trash rebill $25.00, sewage rebill $30.00, water rebill $40.00 and pest rebill $2.50, and will charge you a $50.00 late fee for the rebills she is overcharging you for. Greystar / shannel sotelo has made Altair a terrible place to live, they increase prices without notification to the tenants, sotelo says conservice will take over billing for pest control and divide the bill among the tenants, when the monthly invoice came pest control went up 20 cents, no notification to the tenants. DON'T LIVE HERE HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT.
