1 starThe **** in *************** is a Greystar property and it is one of the worst apartment complexes I have ever lived in! Sure, the location is prime, but that should not justify an extortionately high base rent and tons of amenity fees. There is virtually no security or enforcement of resident rules, and even when notified, the management team turns a blind eye. We moved into a "newly renovated" unit, however the back door was left unlocked and random people had been bumming it in our unit prior to move in. We also had to put in multiple maintenance requests within the first week of moving in due to faulty AC, ceiling fans/lights being synced to our above residents remote control, and there being a total infestation of bugs. To top it all off, when you do make a complaint to management, they shove your lease agreement in your face and show zero remorse or empathy. Just a bunch of corporate lawyer jargon. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Greystar is a terrible company and good luck getting them to care about your safety and well being while living in one of their complexes.Review fromBrook N

1 starI have lived at Vaseo since 2012. I have moved out, and always came back. I came back in 2017, and again in 2021. I have never had any issues being at this complex until this year; 2024. I have now been here 3 years. There is a staff member that has done nothing, but harass me to try & make me leave. I have never done anything wrong. I have no criminal history. My son & I are the only one that lives here. I had a friend over a few weeks ago for the weekend. Her child is down syndrome and they are prone to escape. When my friends daughter ran out of the house, she only had her diaper on and the office lady found her. She was gone for 10-15 minutes if that. Prior, she was laying in bed with us. When the office found her, she accused me of being on drugs, stating she is dehydrated and that she was out for hours. Which is purely untrue. My friends daughter has a feeding tube & cannot drink by mouth, so her lips are always chapped and dry. That next week, CPS shows up at my door step. CPS did the investigation as they have to because someone had called. CPS dismissed the case, of course. The following week, my friends daughter got out again, and now I get a 10 day notice due to "unauthorized occupants". Am I not allowed to have visitors at my apartment I pay for every month?? Since this is not my friends house, I do not have the secured locks on the door to make sure my friends daughter does not get out. She knows how to unlock doors, as she is 12 and has a mind set of a 3 - 4 year old. I feel violated, hamulated and attacked. I have already put in my 60 day notice because I am moving, and my lease is up 12/1/2024. The office needs to leave me alone, and understand that I am not doing anything to violate the rules.

1 starBe really careful of renting this apartment. This is the worst apartment I’ve ever met. I never lived there. The staff here are trying every possibility to profit from you, even in a very dishonest way. We did not complete the lease signing processes, they did not sign their name on the contact, and I never moved in. But after 4 years, they let a debt collection company to ask me to pay for the rent for the whole year, and they put this debt on my credit record. Before receiving this debt, I never received any of their notice. It just came out of nowhere. Now I am spending tons of time dealing with this issue. I am also financially suffering from my credit damage.Review fromAlethea H

1 starDeceptive practices they should not be able to have property in the state of Colorado with their practices they cause more harm in a potential tenants home search than they do actually help. They stole $300 for a holding fee prior to me being approved and now that my I cancelled my application because the property manager is a liar. They said they can only issue me a refund that takes 30-60 days that comes in a check form instead of certified funds sent back to my debit card which is how I paid. If they aren't able to issue refunds via card they should be allowed to take card payments. I have a payment processor and I know for facts they have the capabilities to issue a refund. The apartment complex is Five810 Southlands in AuroraReview fromDeanna P

1 starAvoid Greystar Property Management at All Costs!
If you're looking for a property management company that's unresponsive, unethical, and completely unprofessional, then Greystar Property Management is the one for you. My family has had the absolute misfortune of dealing with them via Pennwood Apartments, and this is coming from someone whose husband has worked in property management for over 10 years, so we know the standards that should be expected.
Our daughter had initially applied, toured, and was accepted for a one-bedroom apartment. She paid her deposit and first month’s rent, only to discover she'd been placed in a one-bedroom handicapped unit that she wasn’t informed about. This unit had no storage and no bathtub—just a handicapped shower that constantly flooded the bathroom. She had to wipe up the water after every shower. There weren’t even support bars next to the toilet, despite it being labeled as a handicapped unit. To make matters worse, maintenance showed up unannounced on several occasions, entering without warning—violating Idaho’s 24-hour notice law. No communication, no notice—just total disregard for tenant privacy and the law.
There is much more to this story. Chelsea, "the manager" at Pennwood Apartments is awful. After move out, no itemized move out list or inspection list was provided. She is being told she owes an entire months rent after the agreed upon move out date.
Greystar is the worst, most disorganized, and dishonest property management company we’ve ever encountered. If you value transparency, ethics, or even just basic human decency—stay far, far away from them!Review fromJames P

1 starThey took over my neighborhood and made everything worse. My chief complaint is that they removed pets from leases during renewals so that they can bury tenants with fines. In a community where about a third of people speak English as a second language, it is pretty difficult to imagine the way they are conducting their business is not malicious.Review fromWill B

1 starAfter living in a greystar apartment complex for several years, I was given unreasonable move out charges. I was instructed to contact the receivables to discuss the charges. I initially contacted the department on July 23rd and was told I would be provided with images and justification for the move out charges. After 8 weeks of following up and no contact from greystar, they finally sent the photos with a deadline to pay with in a week. I called and emailed the receivables department multiple times but never got a response. It is bad business to ignore someone for 8 weeks then give them a week deadline while not communicating. DON'T RENT WITH GREYSTAR IF YOU CANReview fromBr M

1 starPaid my final bill. Check cleared banks. Check from my bank front and back shows bank time stamp. Money was taken from my account. 3 weeks later a call from a collection agency I owe Greystar my final payment. I paid the collection agency to avoid damaging my credit. I am disputing. Sent copy of check and account showing money takeout. Several emails and voice mails add and no response. Tried corporate contact us site. Several emails. No response.
Greystar owes me my final payment since it was paid twice.
Horrible customer service. Zero customer service.Review fromLaetitia J

1 starI am absolutely appalled by Ventura Park's complete lack of understanding or compassion of its residents. After standing with payment in hand on 10/4, I was turned away because apparently money orders are no longer accepted. Due to an unfortunate threat to my bank account, I was forced to withdraw my money and close my accounts which understandably isn't management concerns. However, due to the time of day and situation my first thought was to purchase money orders and get to the office before they close. Only to find out money orders aren't accepted. Attempting to make to the payment by another means which didn't process in time resulted in receiving an email threatening eviction. After ONE mishap, REALLY? This is grossly unacceptable and shows exactly what and how Ventura Park/Greystar feels/treats loyal tenants? Now, I have a possible eviction filing on my close to perfect credit profile because ONE error was made. 17 of the 18 payment ALL paid on time, not one phone call to ask about payment or when will I be in to drop it off but instead an email saying I will be filed on if I don't pay by 5pm. I could understand if I was habitually late but that is completely not the case. Absolutely disgusting resident service and BTW I'm submitting this review on 10/10 it's not like we're in the middle of the month or something and repeated attempts were made to collect the money I was literally holding in my hand in front of the guy with glasses.
The management is cold, and clearly only cares about money. I’ve never felt more disrespected by a company in my life. Thank you for making my mind up now about my plans when lease renewal time comes around. Stay away from Ventura Reseach Park/ Greystar if you value your peace of mind because God forbid you don't know about a ridiculous money order policy. I once felt like home here now I know l am just another apartment number and dollar sign.
