1 starTerrible customer service. I signed up for the marketing premium plan which comes with security for your site. My site has gone down at least 2 times in the past 4 months with security issues. The first time I called about 5-6 times, and EACH time they tell me that their "Team" is working on it and the problem will be resolved within 48 hours. Which it doesn't get resolved. This time, 2 months later I am working through their chat help, which has asked me my problem then has dropped out of the conversation 4 times so far. I'm on my 5th time. I am looking into trying to change my site to somewhere else which really ***** because I created in through go daddy. This site is a SCAM. Do not do it, there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.Review fromThelma G. Y.

1 starI have been a GoDaddy customer since 2002 and had several websites with them. I have never had complaints with them until now. The current website with them I purchased in 2017 and have maintained since then. I changed my phone numbers and when I tried updating the 2sv, I was locked out and have been trying to recover the account since Aug 2025. I've submitted all documentation they have asked for, proof from Whois history when I registered the domain name and even the nameservers info, etc. Uploaded photo id several times, and the accountant who set up billing sent his own info. They keep giving me the "runaround" and being told I am not the registrant, but the domain has privacy protection thru Domains by Proxy. I have contacted them and no help. I have the customer, given my new phone # which they have sent verification codes to as well as email on file. They tell me one thing and when I reach out to them I get more runaround, GoDaddy guides will not give me any help, just mindless chatter in emails and on the phone. The domain/hosting account is paid until June 2026 and just because I wasn't able to change the phone # in time, I have supplied them with any/all verifications they have asked for, MULTIPLE times! I'm very dissatisfied with their customer service and have been told that the domain/hosting service paid for will be taken down and to get it back, I will have to "buy" what has already been paid for. I have no idea who to contact other than a guide and being put on hold endlessly for long periods of time. Please help, I need my already paid for service to be restored.

1 starMy mother passed away in March of 2025 I'm going to the Estates litigation and GoDaddy has taken all of my domains away from me while I'm going through the proceedings which by law I should be protected and they refuse to give me back my domains kicking me while I'm down and I have never given them a problem before this is my first infraction with the company and they taking me for every domain that I have and have the nerve to tell me I cannot get them back I didn't wait till the last minute to inform them of my hardship but they done nothing to compensate me as in help me maintain my domains instead took them in it hasn't been over 2 months and they already telling me I can't get them back and I invented them myself I'm not saying I'm not going to pay for them all I'm saying is do not let nobody have them because they belong to me and they all connected to my fitness and my livelihood and I have documentation to back up my storyReview fromNaPrell V

1 starSTAY AWAY FROM GODADDY!!!! TOTAL SCAM!!!!!! IM A SMALL BUSINESS that purchased a POS machine from GO DADDY setup my new busy 9 months ago. We started out with a few small sales (under $50 ) and the first sale that we received over $2k GODADDY is holding our funds. It's been 5 days and roughly 15 emails of confidential information that they have asked for "to verify the business ". After all of the documents were submitted I was asked to submit documents from another business that I own that has nothing to do with go daddy. It's been 5 days and I have yet to receive my funds that my client paid . I have called several times and requested a manager or someone from the finance department, only to receive someone from tech support. This is so unlawful and wrongful not only to us as business owners but to the clients that they are stealing the funds.

We thank you for sharing your candid feedback.GoDaddy has a responsibility to ensure the safety and security of both merchants and customers using our platforms. This is especially true when GoDaddy Payments is utilized. As a payment facilitator, GoDaddy Payments has a compliance obligation with financial regulations to complete underwriting due diligence on our merchants, which may involve the request of certain documentation to fulfill. This due diligence review can take place during your business's initial onboarding to GoDaddy Payments or when your business first starts processing payments, or, at times, later during your processing journey.According to our records, the documentation submitted is not sufficient to complete the review process. As such, we encourage you to continue working with our Verification Team. 1 starGodaddy is a scam. I have the e-commerce plan that sold a resume, job board and interview prep service. The company stole my website by putting redirects so my customers went to their back door site called re:********* , I cant imagine Im the only one. They are scum bags. Who would think a billion dollar tech company would do this? They wouldnt if they truly were a billion dollar tech company. They are losers and crooks with no ideas of their own. They steal their customers ideas and create backdoor websites. Do not open a godaddy site!!!!!

1 starI have used Godaddy as a Server Manager for years. They have decided to outsource all of their call centers and continually put the customer last in every single way. I urgently needed to access my server and they continually block me from access. Then had a rude woman that knew nothing about the internet much less server management gives me the run around on the fact that I need to reauthenticate myself. I will be migrating my server and anyone that is serious about their website I would highly recommend you run.

1 starThey baited and switched the product so the next person can make a sale at my expense. I was on the phone 4 different times during the day and paid for 3 products just to be left on hold until th3 phone disconnected. I purchased a product 3 days ago and godaddy got an error when installing the product and instead of fixing the offered a different plan and said I should contact *********. I also purchased office at there alive and that didn't work. When I called back in I could not receive support because the plan was different so the only way to get support was to buy the product again. After making another purchase they tried to fix the problem and after hours I still got the same error. They left us on hold, I would say I spent about 8 hours on with them and then the phone disconnected. What a waste of my time and I have to start back again in the morning. Godaddy has always handled my problems and I have been a customer for over 10 years and right now I need to discuss my options of moving my company to another provider

1 starGodaddy is nothing more than a sleaze factory. You know this is pure private equity because every process in place is designed for value extraction. They deliberately design the ** to trip customers up so they have to call support which is where the grift is just getting started. These clowns auto-renewed hosting for 2 years @ over $2,000 and wont refund because 30 days has elapsed since the charge. Anyone whos purchased hosting anywhere knows that pro rating hosting refunds is standard practice and how you keep from burning bridges with a customer. Because of this experience, we're moving everything away from Godaddy purely out of Spite, writing negative reviews en masse and shaming them in our CEO roundtables. Mark my words. Godaddy will one day be the Blockbuster of digital services.

2 starsFor 5 weeks and 32 hours on the phone, I have been trying to work things out with GoDaddy. Ten years ago the organization I founded in 1988 and directed created a website and registered it with GoDaddy. The website has 35 years worth of work on it and our work is known throughout the US & in other countries. As director, I delegated the work with GoDaddy to another staff member. Our staff has changed many times over the years. I am trying to work with godaddy but am unable to proceed until the staff person whose name is on our domain name contacts them. I have given then the names of many staff but they say it's not the right person. I have given the company info showing I am the director and have been cited in national publications like NY Times, ******************************** Pot. 5 weeks GoDaddy took down the website & with it my email. But after many hours on the phone the ***************** have GoDaddy has temporarily restored the **************** I am trying to get this resolved permanently. At one point GoDaddy suggested I hire a person they recommended to help me buy back the domain name. I did this reluctantly but did pay $99.99. Then I called the person explained the situation. He told me that he would refund the money, which he did. But now we are in a non-productive circle because they say we can't proceed until they get an email from the person whose name is in their records. I have given the the names of the people who my records show worked with them. But they say it is not the right person. I want to respect GoDaddy's desire for security but I need help resolving this. *** for any advice you can offer.Review fromKimberly W
