I called Amazon to have them turn on Amazon prime on a ** I have. When I called a gentleman he said before it could be activated. I had to open the Amazon account and click on where it says order a gift card. I said I did not want one. He said it was to open the account to turn the ** onto Amazon prime. The ** did turn on to Amazon prime and The monetary number would just be canceled out. So I followed his instructions after two hours on the phone. I hung up. Being frustrated at how long it was taking. The next day I talk to the same gentleman again as he had given me his number, and we proceeded to be on the phone for three hours where he said to delete the hundred dollars he needed to do other things which all of a sudden turned into $1000 taken out of my checking account. He kept saying it would go away. I finally hung up and turned it in as a scam.

I returned a t.v. to Canada post and contated them about the return to Amazon. They told me to contact Amazon as They paid for the shipping and they told me to contact Amazon so that Amazon could call them. But when I called Amazon they told me they do not contact *********** I have tried numerous times but get nowhere and I am out ****** as a Result. Being a senior that money they took for the **** was an extra payment that should have never come off my Credit Card

Went to purchase a camera on amazon, only to have my credit card (CIBC) denied. CIBC twice said that the blockage was on amazons part, but on the third call informed me that my CC had been blocked. By this time Amazon had emailed me saying that the order had been cancelled because I never completed it with an valid CC. A week later and the camera showed up! No email notice, receipt or anything. Amazon had gone ahead and shipped the camera and billed my cc without any purchase confirmation. I had already bought the same camera elsewhere, so returned it the same day. Amazon confirmed that they had received the camera back from me. It is now six weeks later and I have not been refunded. Getting through to Amazon was a nightmare, but finally they talked to them and they said the holdup is on my CC's side. Of course CIBC in return says it's on Amazon's side.Still no resolution but at this point it appears to be that I will have to pay for a camera I never actually bought, with a CC my bank blocked but wouldn't tell me, and then returned to Amazon on the same day as it arrived. Last purchase ever with Amazon, and I am right now cancelling my CC's with CIBC. Be careful!

Amazon.com order from 8/30/2023 from seller 'Stam Sales' with seller page saying correct business name is ' ENG Sales LLC'. I ordered "Advil Pain Reliever with Ibuprofen 200mg - 300 Coated Tablets". I opened my bottle for the first time to see the seal has been broken and someone has already taken Advil out of the package. Amazon.com says return policy is none of this product and there is nothing I can do. I was cheated out of my money for a opened and damaged product. I have pictures of the product and someone looks to have opened the seal with a finger, so there might be evidence on the bottle itself. I feel cheated and felt like I should report this bad business practice.

Sales Tax Fraud runs rampant w/ Amazon!!!Amazon consistently charges excessive sales tax randomly on maybe 50% of my orders... **************** in different regions of the ** are experiencing the same issues.Initial Order Confirmation E-mail is consistently calculated using the proper sales tax for my locale... (7% for non-food items)Sure enough, when they invoice, they calculate Sales Tax ranging anywhere from 8.5% upwards of 10% Sales Tax...Their customer service is ****% incompetent. Even so ignorant as claiming "Sales Tax rate increases based on the order amount.", which is flat-out INCORRECT & shows they have no clue how basic mathematics of "Tax Rate %" even works. Cannot reach anybody in US who speaks English well enough to understand, so that's not surprising.Repeating myself 100's of times, correcting countless representatives who misrepresent & incorrectly paraphrase the issue...Lies about "Let me escalate you to a supervisor in the US, they'll get your issue addressed" Just so they can blindly transfer me to somebody else in another foreign country)...Lies about "Let me give you the direct escalation number for US customer service where they're in the US & will be able to address your issue", etc, etc.Lie, lie, lie, meanwhile they continue conducting blatant tax fraud by overcharging customers for sales tax!!

Fake reviews are a massive problem. I've also noticed that a $20 item will review higher than that same item at $10. Same product, same quality, but the more expensive one has a higher reviews. Odd, no? Also they're shipping times are atrocious. A one day shipping item, that you bought because you needed it then, maybe you even settled for something that wasn't exactly what you wanted because you needed it sooner rather than later, is now taking 3 days to ship without any kind of notification. This happens more often than it should. Amazon doesn't pay their employees enough to care and customers satisfaction is not important to them

I purchased a Foot Spa Massager in February with the remote, however i did not open the box until around May for the fact I were moving. And I did not want to lose any of the items included in the box ,let alone the remote. Well once I opened the box, there were no remote. And after countless calls to Amazon, including their corporate and to no avail. They pretty much said I were past my 30 days to return the item. And eventually provided me a promotional refund in the amount of the return of $57.13. ($87.00 the last supervisor just advised me 10 minutes ago). Well after trying to spend it, come to find out, the item has to be from sold from Amazon. So patiently I responded, "Oh ok!, that's fine." But it was easier as it sounded! Today I wanted a big digital clock with the remote, I searched and searched. Even contacted Amazon customer service to assist me, and he couldn't either. So I asked for a supervisor, and after speaking with her, she referred me to Amazon's basics (nothing I wanted) which I informed her of this. Clorox wipes, trash bags and etc. So I communicated to her how I wasn't interested in these items. And how about you guys just reach back out to the seller of the foot spa and we just settle it that way? She again denied me. I told her, all i did was purchase an item and didn't open it within 30 days? I shouldn't be forced to buy something i'm not interested in.
