I signed up for a monthly subscription for $9.99 in July, October 15, 2022 my debit card was charged $99.99. I went online to cancel the service they said I couldn't cancel. I tried to call the number refers you to online. The chat has no one available regarding billing and you can contact them via ******** I reached out they asked for screenshots, I provided them with everything only to be told to logon and chat with someone. There is no one avail to speak with, no one avail via chat or ******** I didn't sign up for a yearly subscription. I'm requesting a refund.Business Response

*** had multiple attempts to reach customer support to address this issue. I have been hung up on, put on hold and been passed around. A couple of years back I have purchased a surface go and it just stopped working. There was no physical damage to the device, it turns on but says no bootable device many customers are having the same issue. I have tried the trouble shooting directions to use a USB to fix the problem but did not work. It was posted on their website so they are aware of the system issue. The device only comes with 1yr manufacturer warranty but the device is defective. In order for it to be fixed microsoft is charging over $200 to send a replacement when this issue is happening to a bunch of consumers. Ive had plenty of laptops that are way older that still works because I take good care of it. It is not fair to pass down to consumers the burden of a defective product. I am infuriated with the lack of customer service from this company when I have been a loyal customer of the brand for years. Even to this day I have 365 subscription, xbox, etc. I have never encountered a problem like this before and the one time I needed them to address an issue, I got slapped with a bill for something that was not responsible for. It seems the manufacturer warranty is short term because they have no confidence in their own product lasting long and they want to pass down the burden to their consumers to collect more money. I feel cheated and I would never buy a microsoft product again. For a billion dollar company to show lack of compassion and support to their customers is just outrageous. I use my device for school and lost important files because it broke down during my finals. I wish they disclosed: buyer beware it will breakdown on you for no reason. I was attempting to open a new word document and it says I have to pay but I already have a subscription that expires in December, in which I never created an account. And if I did, microsoft has no way of finding it on your site. I created an account today, but it didn't solve the issue. This an issue because I need to write an send a document off today. 8/12/2022 amount $179 I have sent my controller in for a repair/replacement and I received four separate replaced but all of the controller are defective. Dear BBB,My sincerest apologies. I initially filed a complaint back in August. It was assigned case #********. You sent response back but I somehow did not get chance to respond. To recap, I wrote that we purchased couple items on their online store on 04-19-22 and received on *****. After chatting with their **************** on *****, we were informed that we could return the unused item back for refund. They emailed us a *** label which we used to send the item back. According to the *** tracking number, it was received on *****. Ever since then, we have been trying to get refund added back to our account. On our last call 2 weeks ago, they said the package included no items. This is not true. We even took photos of the item prior to sending back. They can check the serial number to see it has not been activated. We are still waiting to get refund.---Microsoft responded by stating following:Thank you for contacting Microsoft Corporation via the Better Business Bureau regarding your Xbox game pass refund request. After further review, based on your account ******************* you were refunded on April 29,2022. Order ID: ************************************. Amount refunded ***** USD. In case you have not received the money back contact your local bank, since Microsoft already proceeded with the refund.---Microsoft's response contains several mistakes.1. My email is ******************* Their response has ******************* 2. They state my refund was given on April 29. My return package was not even received at their warehouse until May 03. Why would they refund prior to receiving the item?3. I purchased the item using my Microsoft credit. I did not use credit card or any other form of payment. 10/15/2022 Microsoft went into my online account and took all of my saving $2000.00 dollars, when I did not know how they even knew how much that I had. I am not rich, like them, I made a mistake when I was making out my refund amount online, (which I do not thick I should have not done it , they should of had to do it ) and Instead of putting $300 I added the extra 0 . Thursday, October 13th 2022, I had attempted to sign in to, and play on my Xbox. Upon signing it said there was some error that needed to be fixed online. I had forgotten my password, so I attempted to recover the account.
