July 31, 2023. I agreed to one lawn and kitchen treatment for "natual" based bug and ant treatment. Paid in full, by check. I refused any further contact of treatment. Aptive Environmental initially treated my yard for Ants and Wasps on June 29 ****, They states I need to wait two weeks to see an improvement. On july 20 I sent an email stating what was happening, they sent out someone to spot treat where the ants were prevalent. They came back out to treat again on July 28, ****. Today is August 19 and there is no change it has gotten worse the ants are now in my kitchen in my cats dishes. I am paying them to treat by yard and house and they haven't made any difference.Business Response

The pest control *******s provided by Aptive have been under performing what they have promised. Within a week after the May ******* at our house we continued to see ants and wasps in our yard and eves. I called them to come back and ******* our house again. The next month they came on schedule and again within a week began to see ants and wasps again. We had them come back again for another *******. They have now been to our house for 4 straight months when we are supposed to only have them here bi monthly. After being here just a couple weeks ago we now have spider nests by our doors and under the cracks of our siding. Their ******* is subpar and not what we have singed up for when looking for quality pest control.Business Response

Pay this company to perform pest control on my property. They did not do what they said they would do. I asked the persons that came to my house to treat the ***** of the house as they said that they would. The workers said they would and that it was a normal part of the services. The service took about 10 minutes and they left. I check my cameras, they did not do what they said they would. Also had a Wasp net on the side of the house. A sales representative visited my residence and effectively persuaded me to enroll in their service, promising efficient pest eradication. However, following the initial service, it became evident that the pests persisted. Upon reaching out to the company, they explained that achieving the desired outcome would require multiple services. Despite numerous additional treatments, it was apparent that their approach was ineffective.After enduring a 30-minute hold, I finally managed to connect with a phone representative who ultimately canceled my account. Curiously, during this conversation, no mention was made of a $199 cancellation fee. This incident occurred around 9 months ago. To my surprise, I recently received a text message from the ************************ concerning this matter.I reached out to A.R.M., the representative mentioned sending me a letter, to which I responded that I had not received any letters from either Aptive or A.R.M. related to this bill. Despite his assurance, I remained steadfast in my assertion that no such letter had reached me. When I requested the specific dispatch date of the letter, he vaguely suggested that I might not have received it and offered to email me an invoice. I reiterated my position on contesting the charge and requested a comprehensive invoice for the bill. It is disheartening to come to the realization that this company appears to be conducting business with questionable ethics. Their approach seems to involve employing questionable sales tactics by using college students for door-to-door sales, providing substandard services through individuals of college age (Not professional), and then using an electronically delivered contract to obligate individuals into paying a concealed cancellation fee, without transparently disclosing it. I am uncertain about the steps to take to resolve this situation, any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated.Business Response

Salesman from Aptive came to my door a couple months ago. They were pushy and offered a great deal. They did not mention a contract or cancellation fee. We told them to spray the one time for $129. After a couple weeks, we noticed no difference with the pests in our yard. We have tried to cancel MULTIPLE times and yet, sales people and sprayers are still showing up. They also roped us into a cancellation fee for a contract we DID NOT SIGN OR HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF. Then today a sprayer showed up AGAIN. We informed the sprayer that we cancelled multiple times and he said that the company takes advantage of the sprayers by not telling them when customers cancel.Business Response

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the pest control services I engaged Go Aptive from May to August.
When I initially signed up for the services, it was with the expectation that the ant infestation would be promptly and effectively addressed. Regrettably, this has not been the case. Despite assurances, the ant problem persists, rendering the entire service experience inadequate and disappointing.
Over the course of the four-month engagement, I underwent multiple treatment sessions, each with the hope of witnessing a tangible improvement in the pest situation. Regrettably, this has not been the case. The treatments, while performed consistently, have not yielded the expected results. This raises concerns about the efficacy of the methods employed and the competence of your technicians.
I am compelled to address the discrepancies between the services outlined in the invoice and the services that were actually delivered. Upon review, I discovered that several services listed on the invoice, notably the provision of an indoor fly trap, were never provided . This not only undermines the credibility of the company but also raises concerns about the transparency and professionalism of your operations.
As a paying customer, my primary expectation was to receive a level of service that would alleviate the pest-related concerns within my living environment. Unfortunately, this expectation has not been met. The lack of tangible results, combined with the noted discrepancies, has left me disheartened and frustrated with the quality of service provided by the company.

on August 11, 2023 from 1241hrs to 12:59hrs that was an Aptive Environmental representative was at my house damaging my gate, spreading unknown chemicals, and trampling flowers. We do NOT have service with Aptive, he had no reason to be there. We have called over 7 times now to Aptive trying to find out why he was there and what he put down and no one will call back or give any answers. I have kids with severe asthma and do not take lightly to a Stanger trespassing on my property to spray chemicals. we had to throw away all the dog toys in the yard that were sprayed. our side gate was damaged when he tried to gain access on one side of the house, then he want around to the other to let himself into a yard he didn't have permission to be in. We take pride in our lush chemical free flower bed that has tons of flowers for pollinators. Now the pollinators are dying because of their chemicals. We would like an apology fromt he person that trespassed, a list of chemicals used, repair to the fence, replacement of flowers trampled, and name of the person so we can formally have him trespassed from our property.Business Response

They have not offered an apology. They have not made any compensation for the damages their employee caused while trespassing on my property. What middle ground do you suggest. Dear Aptive,No one has offered a written apology, if they have you can resend to my address for my review. The apology should also be to my wife since she has still never received a call back after calling over 20 times leaving messages and being told someone would call back. Only after contacting BBB did anyone contact me from their legal department trying to claim the incident never happen.
I do not want anyone from Aptive ever to enter my property again. That was the only offer that the operations manager gave me. No I dont have a repair invoice for the flowers he damaged, that is a stupid request. Correct, there are no invoices to submit for the broken fence which I explained that I simply temporarily rigged it closed with some screws. Became involved with company on 6/19. Were told at that point by sales person Cole that monthly payments would be $115/month not $164/month because he would apply a $50 credit each time since we told him we couldnt afford the service at the higher price. He also stated that if at any point we were unhappy he would waive $199 cancel fee. 7/17 was 2nd treatment, caught serviceman on video not completing service paid for as well as charging our card $164 not the agreed upon $115 that Cole stated. I reached out to Cole, our account manager and customer service at that time. We were told someone would contact us the next day but no one did. I called again on 7/24 to which their resolution was to offer a reservice and lower payments monthly to $144. I disagreed to continuing service at that price but did request reservice. They informed me that I would have a balance of $199 for cancelling and I again disagreed with this since it was not what was stated to us by Cole the sales person. They told me a manager would call me in 24-48 hrs. Justin B***** emailed me stating that it was unethical for me to ask for a refund or reservice since they "waived" the $199. He then told me he could instead apply the $199 to my account and then send someone out to complete the service I paid for instead. I sent a response that we paid for a service and that we have the service person on video, what Cole the salesperson stated when we agreed to service and have yet to recieve any response. Speaking with other neighbors, because this company goes door to door, and many others have had this same issue of a sales person stating something that is not true as well as paying for service that is either not completed at all or extremely poorly done. On Wednesday July 19th 2023 *************** up to my door that says no soliciting and rang the doorbell. My wife works from home and had to take a break to come answer the door. He then began to give his sales speech. She informed him we weren't interested, but he would not quit. She had to get back to work so she brought him into my back yard where I was outside working. He started his sales pitch and I also told him I wasn't interested. He would not stop or leave it at that he kept lowering rates and trying new deals. He told me he works on commission and I could just take this discounted price get the 1st treatment and then cancel. I decided that was fine more to get him to leave than anything. *** had me start signing the paperwork and I noticed it said it had a fee to cancel the services. I told him I wasn't signing up if I had to pay to cancel. He then said just text me and I will have it canceled for free no charge and sent me a text with his name from his phone to mine. Fast forward I text him because I get a notice that they are coming to do a treatment on my house, I asked if he canceled my service like I had asked him to and of course no reply. They also told me that I could move the date of service to any day I would like. When I try to do that to get everything figured out its not letting me move my next appointment. The sales reps are very pushy and don't know how to take no for an answer. They also lie to you about the services your going to get and how easy it is to cancel. I would recommend from my experience and most others I see on here to not even answer your door when they come around.Business Response
