      An Aptive salesman showed up at my door on June 7, 2023 and told me that they were treating my neighbor's house for ants. They said they would give me a discounted price of $150 for a treatment, and I agreed. After I gave my credit card and signed, they said they would come back every quarter. I was annoyed, but the salesman said I could cancel later. The first treatment seemed fine, but the second one was automatically scheduled after less than two months. I was able to delay it, but the process was inconvenient, and at a certain point the system did not allow me to push out any further. For the third treatment, the system did not allow me to reschedule at all, so I called to cancel the service. At this time I was given a hard sell, and then told that if I cancelled I would be charged $199 termination fee. At this point I realized that I had been duped by the salesmen, and that wasn't giving my signature for the credit card, but that I signed a contract. I paid $300 for two treatments, but do not believe that the $199 termination fee is reasonable, as I feel I was mislead by the salesman at my door.

      I signed a contract for pest control service with Aptive Environmental about a year ago. I originally set up auto-pay but noticed multiple charges to my credit card in excess of the contract agreement. Once I turned off autopay, the company made little attempt to collect payment when charging apx $150 a month to occasionally and ineffectively remove cobwebs from the exterior of my home. Monthly services began occurring apx every three weeks (charged around $150 each) until I called and scheduled specific days for monthly service. Ive now been out of town on an international business trip for several weeks. My account again went past due and Aptive has sent disabled my online portal access preventing me from making payment and sent the account to collection. I believe this company is solely interested in collecting funds as often as possible regardless of contract or customer service. *** attempted unsuccessfully to terminate my contract because they again simply want payment and now an end of service fee. Were talking $300 here. I own a million dollar home and am gainfully employees. It seems this could easily be resolved if the company was interested in retaining customers.

      Sales people lied about amount of treatments and what they treat. I was told they come out 4 times a year, but I have had someone out once a month now. That is way more money than I wanted to spend for what they do. I had better results doing it myself. I was also told by the sales person that they treat ants and then the tech told me they don't. I only went with this company because I needed ants treated. The sales person was changing things on the contract before I signed and then it was changed back after I signed and emailed to me. So beware.They don't make it easy to cancel your contract, but I decided it would be cheaper to pay the $199 fee than keep getting treatments for $139 plus tax for the next 6 months. They tried to get me to down grade my plan, take money off, etc but didn't want me to cancel even after I told them I would be writing negative reviews warning others of their deceptive practices. Please use caution when signing their contract, ask for a paper copy and make sure to double check what the sales people say. They did not take care of my ant problem like I was told. Services didn't appear to treat anything.

      Aggressive sales tactics to sign up for long term contract. Prices seemed high, but was lead to expect good results. Have been in hospital for 3 weeks and my house is now infested with mice in spite of Aptive treatments. I contacted them to stop my account and was told I would be charged $199 for early termination. This just adds insult to injury since I'll have to pay someone else to eliminate mice! Wish I'd never heard of Aptive!

      The salesperson sold me on a service that was not completed. After the initial treatment was completed I went around and took pictures and video of the lack of effort and actual product that was sprayed on the house. I live in a wooded area and it was barely a stream versus the spray I was promised and the technician never came in to spray the inside of the house (which is what completely sold me on this service). The salesperson, though very nice, is hard to get ahold of. When I asked for a free service/re-do - I was instructed to call customer service and cancel my next upcoming appointment (which I would be charged for) and then hang up and call back again to ask for a free service...? Seemed a bit scam like on my end. I was wondering why I was the one facilitating the calls when I have an account manager and a salesperson? All and all I almost ended up paying for 2 services ($400) and not even receiving one full treatment.I feel that it is not fair to pay the $200 to break the contract fee when they were not very cooperative and didn't even provide adequate service.

      SCAM!

      Services do not show any reduction in pests!!!! This company has aggressive selling tactics, and does not follow through with promised results.

      In addition, the contract they provided me is not what I agreed to, and they are unable to provide correct and updated contract. The one that they provided has completely inaccurate name and email (NOT ME). Canceling the services will cost $200.

      Aptive approached me at my house and o ffered me a TRAIL of their services. NOT a SERVICE COMMITMENT only a TRAIL. They did NOT inform me that they would randomly make appointments and show up without any request on my part and then charge me. they are fradulent. They have NOT caught even ONE Rodent, after owning this house for 6 years since aptive came i have spiders and ants inside for the first time all over!!!! EVER. the spiders and webs are everywhere. i want credit for what they have charged me.

      This company is a giant scam. They do not show up when they are supposed to. They dont do even 1/2 of what the salesman said they would do. They have horrible out of country customer service and will not let us out of the contract. They are not holding up their side of the deal. We have had them out here 3 times. Each time they are either late or leave without doing the whole job. This company is ripping people off and should have their license revoked. I want out of the contract. I was sold a bag of BS. Im not getting the service and professionalism I signed up for. Please and Thank you CUT MY TIES WITH THESE SHODDY BUSINESS FRAUDS. *********************

      When I first encountered business they were going house to house getting pushing people to get service from aptive and wont take no for an answer. I said no 8 times and finally said yes so he would leave my property. Then they applied treatment and for the last 4 months I have had insects entire my home and never had that problem before. Told technician every time whats was going on. I got we will take care of it and nothing. On top of all that went to cancel and jumped through every hoop possible to be told $200 to cancel. When I was told $0 to cancel. Verbally.

      On or about August 7th, a sales rep for Aptive Environmental knocked on my door and asked if I had ******** problems. I indicated that I did. The salesman said that since he was in theneighborhood doing other work he could resolve my problem for a special one-time price of $73.57. He asked for my credit card and signature for payment. I confirmed with the sales rep that this service was a one-time event. Subsequently, I received an e-mail on Sept 2nd stating that Aptive Environmental would be coming for ***************** on Sept 6th. I cancelled this serviceand did not reschedule assuming that it was a clerical mistake. However, on Sept 29th I was notified that Aptive had performed a "*****************" and charged me $158.87. I have contacted the company and they informed me that in fact I had entered into a long term contract with Aptive and there was nothing they could do to credit the $158.87 charge. Also, Aptive has subsequently cancelled my deceptive "contract" but charged me a cancellation fee of $199.00.I am declining payment of both Aptive Environmental charges ($357.87).
