      I have a service contract with Aptive that statest I will receive 6 treatments/12 months of service from the company for pest control. This contract was described as, and has included, services inside and out (specifically list in the contract are inside pantry and inside fly traps). Two times now, the service provider has failed to show up in the scheduled window. The scheduled window is posted on Aptive's customer portal and lists a block time of ****. The first time was in mid-August. I had to call and ask where the service provider was and was told their system showed afternoon while I was looking at the portal that clearly posted a morning appointment. In mid-Oct I received notice that our auto-scheduled appointment was coming up. I reviewed the portal to see a morning appointment and cleared the schedule. The block of time, **** came and went and no-showed. I called and the agent changed my appointment in the system to an afternoon appointment but made it look like a follow-up appointment and didn't charge for the service. When the serviceman came out, he did not service the inside of the house as they previously had. No explanation was given for not completing the interior work. Due to the failure to show up twice and the failure to fulfill all services expected I called to request a cancellation of the contract at no expense to me (cancelation fee is $199). The service agent was unable to help and elevated to a supervisor. The supervisor was condescending and belligerent. She finally said should we elevate my concern/request and promptly hung up on me. After 5 days I received no response via phone or email. I received a separate email stating I was being charged for the cancellation when I never agreed to cancel. I called again with no resolution.I'm only asking to cancel the service with no cancellation fee due to their failure to provide timely and complete service but I've received no resolution from their management.

      After several failed attempts to make contact with supervisors in the customer service chain of command, I believe my complaint to BBB finally prompted a response.

      Previously all supervisors were hostile and refused to admit their failure to meet the expectations of the customer and the contract.

      Finally I spoke with one of 4 members of the resolution team in the national office of Aptive. He was very patient and responsive. He had already reviewed my case and admitted I had not been treated the way I should have. He attempted to offer other options to keep me as a customer. He admitted the local ***** branch had been over-charging me significantly and was going to cut the price, but understood that their company had lost my trust and was willing to waive the cancelation fee and cancel the contract. 

      Had I had his level of response at the first or second level customer service I might be with the company still.

      This does not erase the fact that the ***** branch has almost **** BBB complaints in the last 3 years and more than 1 a day in the last year.

      I would still never recommend anyone trust this company with their business.

      I requested a service from this company Aptive Environmental to infest my house and signed a consent agreement to make sure the job will be done and have satisfactory. I payed of front all fees and avance payment. From the first initial service the job was not done accordingly. Every time the company shows up there is an issue because the agents don’t have exact instructions what need to be done. Jobs never been completed and 1 day they showed up without any supplies left in their tanks and they asked to reschedule. Next service came, the agents did only partially and it was raining and he he will comeback. Then I figured out this company is looking for money and I called them next day and I cancelled the service because the job never been completed..They asked me to give me free service and I refused because I didn’t trusted them. I requested reimbursement but they refused and now after 2 months they send me this email that I owed them $199.
      I was chocked and I called and they said this is represent the cancellation fees. I told them what about my initial payment that you have for service that is not rendered.
      Please I need you assistance and I am seeking reimbursement of my initial payment and wave this nonsense cancellation fees

      We signed up for Aptive services summer of 2022. We were told it was a year contract which we fulfilled. Aptive continued to show up in August and September despite the fact that our contract had expired and we had a quarterly agreement. Now Aptive is trying to charge me for those 2 services which occurred back to back and after our contract was expired. They are also trying to charge us full price for both services at $139 per visit. We would like to cancel services moving forward and not be charged for services we didnt sign up for. They showed ** 2 months in a row when prior visits were done quarterly. We tried to contact them directly and resolve amicably and the customer service rep was not helpful at all.

      On July 18, 2023
      The sales guy who knocked at my door lied. No ants and spiders’ problem were resolved as promised. Initial treatment was ineffective. Ants and spiders’ issue were still there. The person who came to the house walked around the house with a wand rubbing the outside walls. He Spent a net time of 15 minutes. When asked how long will it take to finish your job? His response was approximately 45 minutes. After witnessing the kind of treatment and the amount of time he was there from start to finish. I was disappointed.


      I call the company cancel the services immediately the next business day. A confirmation of services was sent to me from their office stating that your account has been removed from any further payments. One month later, Aptive Environmental is asking to pay another $199.00 because of early termination penalty.


      The Company, “Aptive” have already charged $106.30 for one poor treatment which lasted 15 minutes of their poor services.

      It is obvious that Aptive Environmental is making money from customers service agreements by not providing proper pest control services. Please be aware of this company’s shady ways of doing business. Despite of cancellation within the time frame they still want to charge you with a hefty penalty.
      They need to STOP asking for $199.00 payment.
      I am asking for a full refund of $106.30

      I signed a contract for service to occur once every three months. I was told if I needed service in between, that it would be free of charge. I have not once asked for them to come back out in between, because every time my service nears they have scheduled it for two months instead of three months, and I've had to spend time calling to complain and ask for a reschedule EVERY SINGLE TIME and every single time they say that the issue has been corrected. I just opened my email and this time it was a little under two months AGAIN. The technicians are super friendly, and my service has been okay except for the rainy months, but I'm absolutely at my **** end dealing with the lack of ethics on the scheduling end where they are trying to get me to pay way more than what I was offered by the salesman that came to my door. And now after seeing their horrendous BBB reviews and that their rating and accreditation has been revoked, I want out. I can't continue to deal with this until my contract expires early next year. I don't even trust them to honor me not renewing my contract at this point. If I have to hire an attorney, I will.

      I started with Aptive 5/8/23. I have never got anything that says we have a contract.
      Got the bill for first treatment 6/20/23 for $149.00 sent them a check #**** it was cashed
      6/26/23. Second treatment 8/24/23 waiting on bill. 9/14/23 get a letter from Aptive it was dated 9/1/23 but I didn’t get until the 14th. There is nothing wrong with my mail service…My account is past due and going to debt collection I have 10 days to pay or service will be cancelled.
      The next day I get a letter from A.R.M. The debt collection for $298.00. I call customer support, talked to ‘Mikee’ she has very broken English, she says they did not get the check. Well, somebody cashed it. Sent her a copy of the cashed check. Still no bill for August, she says she will send a paper bill so I can pay by check. Still haven’t got it.
      It’s now September, get an e-mail next treatment is 9/29/23. I thought all of this had been cancelled…. I try to cancel the treatment and get a reply back that says there is nothing scheduled for my area on that date. OK. Had an appointment that day, came home Aptive had been here for another treatment. The price has now gone from $149 to $199 for the treatment. 10/3/23 another letter from A.R.M. I now owe $447.00.
      Call customer support again, they found the check on 7/10/23. But, haven’t put it toward the bill. Mikee said I have a total of 9 treatments. No I don’t. On the one and only bill it says a total of 4. 10/13/23 letter from Aptive, I now owe $646.00. This has to stop. I will pay for August but that’s all.
      I thought at first it was just incompetence that I was dealing with. But it’s much worse than that.
      It’s a total scam. Set up to make me crazy and them money. I have all the paperwork, just not sure if I know how to send it, but I’m going to try. I hope you can help, thank you for your time~

      On June 13th, a salesperson arrived at my doorstep, presenting an opportunity to address my insect-related concerns. Their pitch emphasized a seemingly convenient one-time service for around $70, with the assurance that I could cancel if unsatisfied. However, the reality that unfolded was far from what was initially conveyed. To my surprise, I found myself invoiced for a total of $125 in the aftermath.

      Upon reaching out to cancel the service, I was hit with an unexpected revelation - a whopping additional charge of $200 for contract termination. To add to the growing list of grievances, I had never been provided with a contract to peruse before entering this dubious agreement. After eventually obtaining and scrutinizing the contract, I was met with another unsettling discovery: the signature they presented as mine was undeniably not my own.

      This series of events paints a distressing picture of deceitful business practices that have been employed. The lack of transparency, combined with the sudden imposition of exorbitant fees for contract cancellation, underscores a clear lack of integrity. The absence of a proper contract review only compounds the suspicion of fraudulent dealings.

      In essence, this situation has left me not only disillusioned but also deeply concerned about the ethics of this service provider. The disconnection between the promised service and the reality of my experience has cast a shadow of doubt on their credibility and the sincerity of their intentions.

      I signed up with Aptive in July 2023. I had one treatment done that was fully paid for. However, I had a pipe burst shortly after that treatment and I had extensive water damage to my kitchen and living room. I have been having renovations done for months and because of this I have not been able to have anymore appointments from aptive. I informed them of my dilemma and they still want

      I signed a contract with Aptive pest control because of it natural nature, but now I have spiders everywhere. My poor dogs are even afraid of going outside due to getting bit by spiders. I never had this problem when I had services with a different company. My biggest mistake was to change companies.

      We paid extra for whole yard mosquito spraying that was supposed to be performed every visit and wasn't. Only the first treatment was complete. We have 8 security cameras that show that either the treatment wasn't performed or only partially. In addition, bait and mosquito traps were left unchecked and empty most of the summer and into this fall. Except for the first service, we paid $49 extra for service that was not performed. We cancelled early and Aptive took $199 as a termination fee but didn't bother offsetting the fee by at least the couple of missed treatments. They didn't even try to convince me stay or to let them follow up with a treatment plan as they claim they are willing to do. We're very disappointed.
