We had asked for a service to take care of yellow jackets. The service pro person told us that Aptive does not take care of yellow jackets. And if he sprayed a repellent, the wasps would further go into the sidings of the house. He wanted to recommend us a company that would take the sidings apart and remove the nest.We hired another company to take care of the issue and then Aptive tells us that they do take care of yellow jackets and would like to come and treat for it.When I asked Aptive rep to cancel the contract and not charge for the service they came for as the issue was not addressed as expected when we called, I was told that they cannot remove the service charge as they did other treatment, regardless of not taking care of the problem we called them for.It took 5-7 calls to get the contract cancelled. They threatened us to be sent to a collection agency if we didnt pay for the service, didnt matter the issue was not taken care of.Another issue last year was they automatically set services for every 6 weeks compared to the contract of once a quarter. When we saw the number of charges and we questioned, they said the appointments are automatically set and we can opt for manual scheduling. Even after manual set up, after every service they switched to automatic scheduling and we had to keep calling to reschedule.This service is a fraud. We want them to refund us the money paid another service to take care of the issue, void the bill they are stating is outstanding. After many requests, they have cancelled the service already.Note: They have several addresses. Site is goaptive.com. The business was scheduled to do pest control on my home on 11/20/23. i was charged and an email was sent saying the service had been completed. i found it odd that my home cameras had not notified me that someone had entered my property so i decided to check all my cameras to find out that in fact no one had come to my home that day. i called to inquire and was told that they accidently serviced the wrong home (but i was still charged) but to rectify it they would come another day and i would not be charged for their return. i went round and round that they can not charge me for services i did not recieve and if i had not contacted them or had no cameras they would have continued to charge my card and i would have never been the wiser. The customer service was not proffessional and very rude. i was told i was speaking with a manager once i asked for one and then when she could not make me believe that they had not done anything wrong she then offered to let me speak with her manager (though she had insisted she was the manager earlier in the call). once on that call there was no resolution, i was told they could only offer me a coupon for further services. After much push back i was refunded my $115 and told that I could get a "reservice" another day free of charge. i explained that i send my very large not stranger friendly dog to daycare when i have pest control coming and that this reservices was going to be a financial burden to me. i want out of my contract since i no longer trust this business and the service they provide. i was told no that my contract is until June and that i can not get out of the contract. I no longer feel safe with this company at my home. If i had not done the checking on my own they would have never fessed up to not servicing my home and i would have paid for someone elses home to get service. Unacceptable.Business Response

However I do not wish to do business with this untrustworthy company anymore. My contract ends in June of 2024 however I do not want to do business with them anymore

On June 28, 2023 a representative of Aptive Environmental approached us with an offer to control/rid our property of pests. We explained that we had an infestation of Brown ******* spiders, moles and some mosquitoes. He assured us that his company had an excellent history of controlling these pests, and that after an initial application, followed by one or two more treatments our pest problems would be resolved. After that regular ***** day treatments would keep pests from returning. We agreed to the contract, and a couple of days later an Aptive pest controller arrived and after using our water to dilute his solution, sprayed our basement, ground floor, and garage. He then sprayed a few spots out doors. He placed a container that was supposed to attract Queen mosquitoes, and render them sterile. This process took between ***** minutes, surprising me considering our house is close to ***** square feet, and our property encompasses approximately 1.5 acres. I was assured that a complete job had been done, and I should not expect the first application to rid us of our pests, but was meant to inhibit pests of reproducing. A 2nd, or 3rd application would completely rid our property of spiders, mosquitoes and moles. Approximately 1 month later a pest control specialist from Aptive arrived for a 2nd application. I told him there was no reduction in spiders, mosquitoes or moles, instead they had increased. He said this was normal, and subsequent applications would eliminate them entirely. This 2nd application took less time than the initial one, as did the 3rd. After the 3rd application we were seeing more spiders (I placed sticky spider traps, and they were full of spiders). On Oct 25th a pest controller came, and I told him we we canceling their service because it was completely ineffective. We have been informed by Aptive that early cancelation will result in $199 penalty. The treatments Aptive made have not controlled our pest problems. All we have seen is an increase.Business Response

I had scheduled pest control service with Aptive, beginning in September of 2022. This included a contract for 18 months with quarterly service. Since starting service I had issues with lack of notice as to scheduled appointments. With 1-2 occasions of getting notice 1-2 days prior. In May of 2023 I moved but retained the property as a rental and continued services. Since then I have had issues for services with the most recent service being scheduled 11/8. This was cancelled due to darkness. I received a new date for 11/28. On 11/27 I was notified via text they had rescheduled with no explanation. This was after I had already had multiple prior phone calls with them about needing additional notice as I am required to give notice to my renters. Additionally this is a hardship for not only myself but also my property manager and tenant when the service is not communicated as to an actual time of day either. I requested a cancellation of all services as my business was not a priority to them and had only become a hassle. They are now seeking $199 for an initial service due to cancelling “early” when a service is $150 and additionally I am cancelling due to poor treatment as a customer and disregard for my time and the time of my tenant/ property manager.Business Response

Aptive Sales person came in the spring and said they have a new contract where they would only apply treatment 6 months out of the year, instead of me having to pay all year long. I agreed and signed. They applied a treatment this November outside of the 6 month period. They said they would not do a refund and the contract terms of the sales person does not apply. When I cancelled the account, they send me a $200 bill for a cancelation. I told them that the Sales person said there would be no fee if I at least applied a few treatments this year, which I did.
I once again asked the rep, if they are letting their sales person lie to customers and not honoring the agreement. The rep simply said, the system automatically generates these fees and basically what the sales person says does not matter.Business Response

On 11/28/2023 I discovered an ant problem in my kitchen. I have tried all the phone numbers that were available for Aptive services (in my area and nationally). None of them will work and repeatedly hang up on me - so I am unable to reach the business. I would like to cancel my service due to this horrible customer service experience and return to a reputable local company for my pest control. However, Aptive has no provision on the website/account pages to disable automatic payment OR to cancel the account. I want the account cancelled and my payment information deleted immediately. And I would like a written confirmation that this has been done.Business Response

Pest Control with no guarantee, basically they will spray their environmentally friendly spray and hope for the best.
They are charging me an early termination fee of 199 because their services have not worked for me and I wish to cancel a service that does not work with any guarantee.
Instead of just letting me cancel they want me to spend time talking to a regional account manager to talk about "alternative solutions". Ie they do not take no for an answer.

They will not cancel my service with out charging me $199 to cancel my plan. They never told me that I had to pay money to cancel the service. They also never told me that i was signing up for a two year plan. This is bad business practice. I have been lied to and they are trying to make it hard for me to cancel. I have called multiple times to cancel and they keep hanging up on me. They also are not letting me cancel my upcoming appointment. I've been trying to cancel my services with Aptive environmental however, they threatened me that my credit card will be charged with early cancellation fee of $199.
I've informed them that we're not happy with their services. The chemicals that they were using to treated our property has killed hundreds of our plants. Their solution has also stained our ceiling line which is quite high and difficult to reach. They did not even bother to clean it up.
Customer service was only trying to give me $30 credit but, the plants that have died due to their "Eco Friendly Solution" costs way over $199.
We just want to cut our ties and cancel the services, and not be charged the early termination.
We have already paid for the previous services via auto-pay.
We are not even asking for compensation for the plants that they have killed. This company only cares about their profits.Business Response

I never signed a contract. I spoke to someone about getting service done every 3 months . My last service was 0ct. 6th . We are November 20 and im getting charge right now again. So basically they show up every month and a half .,and have my card on file . I constantly beg them to spray inside because I’ve seen rats and roaches . I just want to get my inside sprayed also . I have never had anyone reach out to me they just keep taking my money I should only have 4 charges per year . I would like a refund for anything more than 4 charges per year.Business Response
