      This business is not upfront about its costs. When I signed up for the service I was told there would be four treatments a year: one a quarter. Well, they have come in August, September, October, and now are trying to come in December. We have seen no reduction in pests (actually an increase) and are thus are dissatisfied with the service. In trying to cancel they are trying to charge me a cancellation fee, which the representative who came to my house never mentioned. The company is not providing satisfactory service and is deceptive about its business practice. I simply want to end the service without the cancellation fee.

      Over the summer I received a sales visit to my house by a college student that was very nice. To help him out, I signed a commitment for a handful of services. 1st service was provided and paid. 2nd service the company scheduled, sent me a reminder, sent me another reminder they were running late, a 3rd reminder…. And then they no showed. I had moved all appointments for work to be at Aptive’s appointmen(. While working out the issue they scheduled another appointment which I paid but ultimately I went back to trying to cancel as the person was done in approximately 5 minutes and the initial issue was not resolved. (I wanted to discuss with them but they were gone before I got off my phone call). They are hitting me with a termination of service 199 fee but yet they breached contract when they didn’t show even after 3 reminders they are coming. Additionally, I have unsubscribed from their mailing lists yet I still receive their marketing material.

      This company lied about a cancellation fee, they charged me for a full house service, and we were not home. I was told when signing up that i could cancel at anytime free of charge, and then i was rudely told that it was my problem and i signed a contract stating that there was a cancellation fee, the customer service representative repeatedly told me over the phone that it was my issue that i wasnt home and it was my responsibility to open my gate. My pregnant wife was home all day on the last day of service, and they not one knocked on our door or talked to any of us to get into our house or backyard to complete service.

      I signed up with Aptive in May 2023 right after my husband passed. I had never had to pay for pest control before. I thought these people were heaven sent when they knocked on my door to sell their product. I notified the person during sign up that I had seen all kinds of pests around and in the house and she assured me that they can handle anything. I had them come out weekly for the inside problem which was a few German roaches which seemed to grow in population after each treatment. I asked if the environmentally friendly products are causing them to multiply?But I was assured that I needed to be patient. The people that came to spray are all very friendly but I dont know if all of them are trained in pest control because only one of five pulled out my stove and refrigerator, the rest sprayed here and there and of they go. I called today and was told that I have to upgrade for German roaches. I called Truly ***** and other companies and they charge the same fee for inside and outside that I pay now . I want to cancel and go to a more reputable company but without a cancellation fee.

      We had been using Aptive Environmental services for rats in our home and ants. They placed traps in the attic but did not check on them. We asked ************* to check them but he did not have a ladder with him. We let him use ours, but he was not really capable of using a ladder and nearly fell. The next person that came was a large man and would not have fit up the small opening to the attic. We were on a two-year contract. We were never sure they were doing a whole lot for us. We had another company come out for a flea problem. While spraying our yard, they noticed the rat traps and said they were not legal and were likely not doing us much good. We called Aptive and paid our balance due and told them they were fired. This occurred in 11/2023. We told them we would not send them anymore money. They continue to send us bills. We had told them they were fired, and we would not be sending them anymore money. We don't want a ding on our credit report.

      A few years ago, representatives from Aptive knocked on my door to sell their services. I reluctantly agreed and was fairly satisfied with their work. Some time in 2021, they just stopped coming and I was OK with that to save money.
      Out of the blue on 6/2/23, I received an auto text asking me to set up autopay. I replied STOP because I hadn't used them in over a year, and received a message that I was unsubscribed.
      On 11/23/23 (Thanksgiving morning) I received another auto text that I had an upcoming appointment on 11/27/23. After replying that I was no longer a client, they, again, told me I was unsubscribed.
      On 11/27/23, I received a text at 722am from the technician and an auto text stating they were coming to my house for an appointment. I replied STOP again and told them if they come to my house I will not pay. Then they claimed that there was a glitch in their system that caused the error and they will remove my info.
      When I tried to contact their management and legal team for the multiple violations of the TCPA and my privacy rights, they ignored me and refuse to contact me.
      I don't know what is going on with this company but when they refuse to make things right after violating my privacy, interrupting my holiday and waking me up in the early morning, I tend to think they are crooked.

      One year of pest control service was purchased by the former owner of my house as part of the sale of our house due to concern about pests in the home. The service was purchased on 6/27/23 and service began in August 2023. Initially I was able to obtain scheduled service from the company without difficulty, however beginning in 9/2023, the technicians stopped coming to my home for scheduled appointments (previously confirmed by email and text message). This occurred on 9/26/23, 11/18/23, and 12/6/23. Each time I would contact the company and they would apologize and reschedule. No explanation was provided. After the second occurrence of no-show for scheduled appointment on 11/18 between 8am-12pm, I spoke to a manager at Aptive (*****) on 11/21 who assured me this would not happen again and that she would speak to their Operational Manager to find out why this had happened. She also promised that the Operations Manager would contact me to follow-up. She rescheduled the appointment for December 6 between 1-5pm. I received no follow-up call from Aptive. On Dec 6, I received a text message from Aptive at 11am saying they were unable to provide service because no one was home (this was incorrect). When I called Aptive and spoke to ***** I was told no technician was available to provide service and they again offered to reschedule for the 4th time. I explained that after three no-shows, I was frustrated by the company's incompetence, disrespect for my time, and inability to follow-up. I requested a refund of my pre-paid year of service, which they told me they could not provide. I cannot justify paying for a service that a company refuses to provide.

      They came to my condo and told me the condo association said I had to take part and that I had to sign their contract. I'm now just realizing I am paying for this and do not want it. They will not let me out of the contract with out paying more money. I just want my contract canceled without a fee and to no longer do business with this company. They've preyed on the elderly and took advantage.

      The representative for Aptive came to our door and did his sales pitch. He stated that if we used the service for the Summer and received and paid for at least 4 treatments that we would not have to pay a 199.00 discount fee and that we were not required to stay with Aptive for 18 months. I specifically told the rep that I did not want an 18 month contract and he stated that we could get out of the service after a minimum of 4 treatments. We cancelled today after mmore than 4 treatments and were charged the 199.00 because we did not fulfill the 18 month contract.

      I have tried to cancel my contract multiple times to no avail. Im charged $139 every time they visit. I was told that the contract was for twice in the year and then it will be terminated. They are now telling me that it was for multiple visits for multiple years. I personally didnt sign the contract and the one that they are showing has multiple electronic signatures that I didnt approve. They refuse to cancel my service.
