I registered for a pest spraying service with Aptive ******** After 4 months of service, i came to realize that their product does not work. I asked to cancel the contract. The company refuses to do so. Their product doesnt work!Business Response

I closed my account with ******************** on or around 11/15/23, after the agreed upon four treatments. They then took it upon themselves to charge me $199.99, again without my consent or knowledge, because they state I only completed 3 of the 4 treatments. After talking with customer service they stated I had 4 treatments done, but the first does not count so I broke my contract and they have right to charge early termination fee.Business Response

The person who sold me the service told me that it would be a three month contract but I was told today it was a 24 month contract with a cancellation fee of $199.I was also never sent the terms and conditions to my email so I could not check thaf.Business Response

The issue started back in August when they serviced my house. They only spend 5 mins on my house before saying that they are finished or just leaving. They never do the job up to the standards that they say they do. I realized that they were not doing their job correctly because they missed key points in removing insect debre from my house after having to call them directly to get them to give me a 30 dollar refund. I then started noticing that bugs and ants were coming into my house even though aptive is supposed to take care of that, but they did not. I currently have put a pause on the services so I have to financially assess if I want to keep paying a business that is delivering a service that is not up to standards. They are saying that they are canceling my service, which I did not request. I stated that I dont want services that this time. The customer support rep stated that she is just going to close my account and charge me 199 dollars for something that I am not canceling. I believe this to be a wrong business practice and shameful to what a business should provide for their clients. Since I am not canceling the service and just don't want services at this time.Business Response

Signed with Aptive environmental pest control company 3-4 months ago and was solicited by the company in my neighborhood, stating how much better they are than the existing company which I was using so I switched and since have experienced nothing but problems. First service I had a terribly poor service technician who did not want to work the day he attempted to preform the quarterly pest service, he did not ******** any of our porch areas or the awning of our home,I had to call and have another technician call to finish the job. Second service tech,sends me a text message saying please be ready and expect them so I take time re-arrange my schedule for nothing he never treated my home, however he pretended that he did service my home, he took a picture like he came, however he did not ever show up, my blink cameras were on and no one treated my house. when I called to dispute the charge for service the manager basically told me that I was not available and that is why they did not treat the whole house and I said they did not treat my house and Im not paying just cause they said they came. I asked to cancel my service because they broke our contract agreement and I was not happy about the technician being dishonest and I can not do business with them because of this. They then told me I would pay the early termination fee and the service charge for the claimed service visit. I was very upset and could not believe this was how they do business and that I was going to be filing a complaint against them with the BBB, thinking Im sure other people have also experienced similar problems with them. Then a hour later my husband received a texted message saying that they were going to take the termination fees away they decided that I would not have to pay that after discussing it further. I feel I would definitely recommend that you avoid using this company for they are dishonest and not trustworthy or transparent in business practices. JABusiness Response

After signing up for their service I thought all was great. Until I happened to be home for an application. I was stuck in a meeting when the technician rang the doorbell. I then watched him walk around my house and get back in his truck and leave. They than charged me for that day service as I was on the phone with them. The did remove that charge as it was the reason I was calling but how do I know if they hve done this every time prior? Do they just charge people without ever applying any product if they are not home? Stay away from a company that would allow this type of behavior from its employeesBusiness Response

I originally started pest control at my house with Ecoshield Pest Control. The Aptive Pest Control salesman came by a few days after I had signed with Ecoshield, basically poaching.I was told by the Aptive salesman that Ecoshield's early termination fee would be covered if I switched to Aptive. I called & emailed Aptive, asking for help with the process. No one told me about the 3-day limit. I was sent to collections for Ecoshield after being told "it will be taken care of". I told Aptive I would file a complaint with BBB, and they blew me off, saying it's way too late. This is ridiculous and I would like them to cover the $175 early termination fee.Business Response

When I signed up for this service it was a trial period. I told ******* I did not want to get into a service contract at that time. After my service on 9/7 my husband called and cancelled because it was not helping with the bug situation. Apparently they came to more times after that and are trying to collect on services that I did not authorize and cancelled my trial period. I do not want this service it does not help with the bugs at all. I should only owe $195.53 for the ****************** i have heard alot of complaints about how this service has done nothing for bugs for serveral people I know.Business Response
