      Salesman knocks on my door offering an one time service. I agree since he says they will be in the neighborhood. 6 months later I receive a 199 dollar bill from a collection agency.. stating that its their cancelation fee and they do not offer a one time service. Saying one thing and having people sign another.. after seeing most of their reviews I understand it's an ongoing problem now.

      July of 2023, a sales person name ****** from Aptive approach me for a trial of bi-monthly pest control. I agreed to try 3 services every 2 months. The 1st service was done by a very large person (600#+). This person was unable to go the narrow areas or up the stairs. The job was half done, and he had me signed a document that was on his tablet 30 pages ************** prints. No paper contract was received, he changed the agreement to monthly service versus bi-monthly without my knowledge, this is not the agreement I made with ****** the sales person. I specifically said to ****** that I do not want to be contacted through email and my email address was never given, and that I do not want to pay with my debit card as I do not trust new companies. So I wrote a checks. Thus far I have written 3 checks. I recently found out that they convert my checks to electronic withdrawal.The last service was suppose to be done on 12/22/2023. Unfortunately, we had a rain storm so large that trash cans was floating on the street. I took video of it and send it to ***********************, the new person that was supposed to do the service. **** and I agreed through text messages that we will postpone the service to 1/22/2024. I found out yesterday 1/8/2024, that Aptive charge my account electronically on 1/3/2024 for the amount of $119 for services rendered. I was home that day because of another huge rain storm and all the gates are were locked. Also this company found out my email address and sent me over 70 emails before they stopped the process. I was very specific to ****** that I do not want to be notified through email and I did not give out my email address. I tried several times to unsubscribe without success. This company made it impossible to UNSUBSCRIBE. This is ILLEGAL. We all should be able to unsubscribe with any business. This must be change accordingly.

      Entered by BBB staff LO Consumer states she started a contract with the business in August 2023. She was told it would be $135 every 3 months. They advised the consumer they never charged her account so she owes $405 but she asked if they were not getting paid why did they continue service. She states she had to give them her credit card information in order to sign up so she feels there is a discrepancy. Now they are telling her the $135 is monthly and not every 3 months. They advised her that if she wants to get out of the contract she has to pay an additional $200.

      When The tech came to the door we were told it was a 3 month contract, initial charge of 149 and 3 charges of $125. After 6 months of charges I called to cancel the service and was informed that I would have to pay a $199 charge. I was never sent any documents that I signed. This company is fraudulent. The notes on service are full of words that make no sense. In addition, my cameras have never shown them in the backyard one time.

      Aptiv made us sign a 2-year contract and then at every service the technician that they sent refused to serve parts of the house that was setup in the contract. We tried to resolve this amicably 2-3 times and spent hours trying to explain to them the issue. Finally in Oct and Dec twice the customer agent cancelled our account. We have confirmed emails from them. However, they keep sending us bills and refuse to tell us how they can remove us from their system. Talking to a supervisor did not make a difference. We want to report this company as a fraud as they only want to charge us for the contract without providing services.

      Just like the cases in many other complaints, a young college salesperson came to my door in June this year and talked me into signing up their pest control service. I didn't have time to go over all the terms in the contract and missed the deadline for free cancellation. But I still want to cancel their service, for the following reasons:1. The salesperson told me that all my neighbors were using Aptive pest control services, which turned out to be a lie after I verified with my neighbors. None of them on this street is using the service.2. The salesperson told me that I have a serious rat issue. But I've never seen a single rat on my property. The trap they set up didn't catch anything either.3. The salesperson also promised me that they will do many things for me for free, e.g. fixing the crawl space vents, cleaning up the ********* bee nests, etc. But the technician (who came and did the work) didn't honor any of the promises.4. They charged me $217.16 for a single service, where the technician technically just came to my house and spent a couple of minutes spraying the solution here and there, and setting up a mouse trap which didn't catch anything. I don't think it's worth the money.5. They are also charging me a $199 early cancellation fee.I'd like them to refund the $199 early cancellation fee to me, and cancel my service for free.

      Initially, I signed a one year service agreement with Aptive Environmental (AE) in 2021. Ended business with them in Sept. 2021 after receiving no response from AE after their employee sprayed chemicals on five of my yard bushes causing extentive damage. Began business again with AE in April 2023. Ended business with AE, after being charged $96 for service they falsely claimed was performed on 6/8/23. In July 2023, ** began a monthly routine of emailing my wife stating she owed AE $199. In response to me questioning this charge, on 7/26/23 AE explained my wife signed a 12 month service agreement, dated 4/12/23, which stated if a customer terminated its agreement with AE prior to end of term, the customer would be subject to a $199 termination fee. I reviewed all emails received from AE and verified we never received or signed a 2023 agreement with AE. After additional complaints to AE, on 11/21/23 the company emailed a copy of the agreement which stated it provided for a 2 year service term, and contained an electronic signature of my wife, signed *************************. This signature seemed invalid because my wife always signs documents as *************************** or **************************************. About two weeks ago, my wife received a letter from a collection agency, ARM Solutions stating AE assigned the collection of my wife's debt to this company. ARM Solutions' letter was the first time we learned our debt was turned over to a collection agency without any notice to us. On 12/26/23, I called AE to obtain a company mailing address to send a written statement fully describing our reasons for feeling my wife owed nothing to AE. ** stated since our account's debt was turned over to a collection agency there was no reason for us to write a letter to AE. Because of AE's refusal to listen to our position regarding this debt, and in an attempt to eliminate any damage to my wife's credit rating, on 12/26/23, I made a full payment of $199 to ARM Solutions.

      Just like so many others, I was lied to by Aptive Environmental LLC. I was told I could cancel anytime without any financial penalty. Now they want a $199.00 fee to cancel. What a scam.

      I registered for a pest spraying service with Aptive ******** After 4 months of service, i came to realize that their product does not work. I asked to cancel the contract. The company refuses to do so. Their product doesnt work!
