      This company went from door to door. Told us the would get our pest problems under control. Things only got worse. Sawmore roaches in my house 3 months after they started than I have ever seen.mice in my laundry room were not gone, ants in my yard were worse. Called and was told there were no openings for them to come back and try again. They finally came. Still no help. Hard to get in touch with Aptive main office. They want to charge me a contract fee of $199.00 for service that made things worse. They wanted to send another tech out and try other sprays. I feel they are using weaker insecticide to save them money. They will use stronger once I complain. I don't feel I should have to pay the $199.00 to a company who doesn't do what they say, hard to contact. Can't send tech back out in a timely manner. More pest after the have come for three months then ever. This company is pretty much a scam operation.

      Contracted with this company for pest control. Was told the price was due to the size of my property and the extent of service they would provide. After multiple attempts at complaints about service level and having them come back out to reservice, I decided to cancel service for breach of contract. We were not getting what we were contracted for. They told me I had to pay a cancellation fee which I am disputing. According to the text from them, if I chose to pay the fee, I had to call a local phone number to do so. Two and a half weeks later, they took the fee out of my bank account without my permission. When I notified them that I had already disputed the cancelation because I felt they were in breach of contract, they told me that they would not return the funds. I have had to dispute the charges with my bank.

      A door to door salesman visited to sell the aptive service. He was very pushy and kept reducing numbers. He explained my agreement would be for visits every 2mths (3 in winter months). I confirmed this would be 5 visits per year at $135 which he confirmed.

      The first service was done. Then I received an email confirmating a second service only one month later. I saw this message and contacted them to note it was every 2 mths. it was changed. Then after the second visit I had another email to say they were coming after only a month I did not see this one in time to push it so they came. I contacted them on the day when I saw the email stating my ageeement was for 2mths. I was told I had signed up to 30day visits and the charge stands. When I said this was not agreed and I would stop the service they said I would be charged an additional $199

      I communicated with them that I was miss sold the service. They did not care about the conduct of their sales person. Only that they would take my money.

      Note: throughout these visit I did not see any improvement in the number of bugs inside or outside.

      Avoid this company. it’s a hard sell and the seller at the door will say what’s needed to get a signature.

      Aptive misrepresents their contract and uses aggressive policies to bully you into signing and staying with a contract. They showed me a map and told me many neighbors used their company which isnt true. I found companies offering the same service cheaper. I tried to cancel and they offered a quarterly contract comparable to a competitor. They say if you see bugs you get a re service for free. They have now charged me $75, $99 and $90 and my contract started in July 2024. Thats not $90 quarterly: I called again to cancel and they told me I had to pay again to talk to customer service. I want my third charge refunded and I want out of their contract which is not a customer friendly agreement. They use untruthful business practices.

      Stay as far away from this business as you can. They are thief's and will lie to you to get the sale. Read their complaints on ****** and how many people have had problems with them. They came to my house checking for termites. The **** (****) came up from basement in maybe three minutes and said that we did have termites. Wanted us to sign up for a $2500 program. We wanted a second opinion and had 3 other inspecters come to look at my house. Each one said that I did not have termites at all. So basically, they lied to me to get the sale and lock me into a two year contract. Stay away from them.. read the complaints. They are no longer bbb accredited. They also lie to you saying that you will get a gift card to sign up. I signed up about June and still haven't seen the gift card. Call in to customer service and no one knows about gift cards. Just a very very bad company.

      I signed up a year ago with Aptive environmental. I was asked to sign up while someone was in my line pushing for my signature. They told me if I did a full year I can then opt out. I completed my year and they said I still had to do 2 more if they would charge me cancellation. They have language in their contract t but they push you to sign and tell you what you want to hear. They have an overseas phone service that works off scripts. You are entrapped. They tell you they will send you to collections if you dont do the extra services or pay cancellation fee. They say its because they discounted the first service, but its absolutely horrible. Customers should understand what they are getting themselves into. The contracts are awful and they force people to sign them at their door.

      Aptive came to our home on 7/22/24 and said that they were in our area and had extra product and would treat our yard and porch for insects for $50. I told my wife that I had said ok and had already paid them. She looked out and saw someone supposedly using a hand spreader but saw nothing coming our of it. In cking, there was nothing on the ground or sidewalk where he was working. She did not trust them and took a photo of their truck and asked me if I had gotten a receipt. I hadn't, so I went out and asked for one. He told me to sign for one and it would be emailed to me. I signed his electronic device of which nothing else showed on the screen that I could see, and I initialed nothing. I received a text on 8/16/24 that they had scheduled an appt to come out again and I said that I didn't want any more tx.. I then later found that they charged $139 on 8/23/24 for a treatment. Then they mentioned my acct. I have no acct, and they were not at my home on 8/23/24 for any tx. In checking there website, they have a very specific and detailed protocol for appts. The person coming is to text customer BEFORE, DURING AND AFTER TX on everything and TALK TO CUSTOMER FACE TO FACE WHEN CUSTOMER IS HOME. Two different places on there site go into detail on the rather extreme protocol they follow. They never came. They will have NO record of any texts. I never signed a contract, and they never came again after the $50 visit. They now want $139 for a nonexistent visit and an additional $199 if I want to cancel a nonexistent contract. I want them to cease and desist and remove all bogus charges from wherever they have illicitly applied them, including my credit card.

We were home and Aptive never notified us even once out of the 3 times that they are required to, per their website, in order to prove they were here. We were here. They never came.

      As stated in my original complaint and resolution, I want BOTH the charge of $199 (that they are attempting to charge me for a contract that I never signed) removed. I also want the charge of $139 permanently removed from billing to my credit card. I have had my credit card remove it, but Aptive could attempt to add it back to the card after this resolution unless they agree to cease and desist from attempting this.

      On August 1 2024, a salesperson (first name Aljermaine) from Aptive Environmental came to my door and offered a single pest control service for the special price $39. When I questioned the unusually low price, he advised they had chemicals already mixed that were intended for other jobs that got cancelled so they were offering this special instead of disposing of these chemicals. He produced a contract on his table which seemed to indicate it would actually be a contract for recurring service and I would need to pay $199 to cancel. I declined the service at which point the salesperson informed me the contract was a formality to be able to schedule the service and that he would personally cancel me free of charge after I receive it. I agreed on this basis only. The service was carried out on August 2nd and I reached out to ********** to process the cancellation. I spent the next few days calling and messaging him and would always get the answer that he is "working on it". He eventually blocked me, leaving me with no choice but to cancel the service via their website. I tried explaining the situation to their customer service team but they would not bulge. Sadly, the video proof from my doorbell camera was already overwritten by the time I cancelled and the back and forth messages were not deemed enough since they do not explicitly mention it was free of charge. I am now left with a $199 undue charge and being threatened with collections action for the first time of my life. The company has deceptive sales practices and seemingly allows their salespeople to lie their way through closing deals.

      A representative from the company named Tyler approached me in my backyard and said they were doing treatments in the area and therefore could offer me a special price to do a treatment. I asked him specifically about the terms of the contract, asked if I could cancel at any time and if there would be a fee. He said the company would only treat when we wanted and there would be no fee for canceling.

      A month later I received a text that an additional treatment had been scheduled and the rep would be there the following day. I did not want this treatment. Tried to cancel and the only option I was given was to reschedule.

      This process repeated 3 times until one night I received a text at 9pm that a rel would be there the following day. I tried to cancel or reschedule and was told no changes could be made within 25 hours of a treatment.

      I reached out to customer service and asked to cancel my service going forward.

      There representative still showed up while I was at work and I was charged $160 for the treatment and an additional $199 for cancelation.

      Aptive *** knocked on our door offering pest control services, we advised that we just moved in and were not ready to enter into a contract with a service. Vendor then verbally offered a promotional rate of $99.00 per services not to exceed three months. We have received two services in less than 30 days, charged $99.00 the first time, $150.00 the second time and I brought it to their attention via email. My husband was not provided with a printed copy of the "contract" and we both were clear regarding very limited trial not to exceed three services a month apart. Aptive now states that we owe them $199.00 for contract termination. I asked if they are able to provide two services at $99.00 each and they indicated they cannot. The account is now closed, I removed my credit card so they would not continue to charge it and am concerned about the claimed balance. We agree to pay them a total of $200.00 and no more or $99.00 for each service but not $250.00 plus $199.00 for a total of $450.00 for two dates of service.
