May *******, I entered into a contract for pest control services. They make appointments by text only and send techs without my consent every 30 to 60 days. I have repeatedly tried to work with them. They harrass and harrange me every ***** days. I just want to make final payment for 11/04/2024 treatment and July 4, 2024 treatment and be done with them. I made my July treatment payment but they returned it. I have the cancelled check and redeposit proof if you need it. They just told me I owe $333.41 for there services which I do and have no problem with that. But they also want $199.00 cancellation fee and I don't think I should have to pay that.Business Response

We are extremely dissatisfied with the services that Aptive has provided us. **** ********, the route manager knocked at our door and discussed the services that Aptive offers for pest control. He appeared very knowledgeable and honest when discussing the services. He even named some of our neighbors who receive the services in our development. He told us that he is offering a Development reduced rate. He informed us that we can pick our treatment schedule and can easily postpone treatment, and they wont come out to service us, or charge us anything. He told us that we can cancel anytime, if we were not happy with the treatment. He had us sign a contract on an iPad.After the first treatment, we now have a nat issue, that we never had prior. We attempted to reach out to **** ********, via phone and email to no avail. We requested to postpone the Standard Treatment and Aptive came anyway 3 days later and charged us for the service. We called the customer service line, and they informed us that we were charged for the service even though we requested to postpone it and didnt want the service. This company is misleading, and we believe it is a scam.We have canceled the service and were charged a cancelation fee of $199, which due to false advertising and unresponsive staff while attempting to cancel the last treatment should be waived. Now we have received notice via US mail that they are sending our account to a collection agency, ARM solution and additional fees will be applied. on october 26 aptive pest control was going to come to my house between 8-12. I called in around 9 to their call center and requested how long will it for your guy to show up so i can be back in timeframe. Long story short the guy shows up at 2pm . i asked him i waited 6 hours for you and i call your call center and they stated that they don't have access to your cellphone. I am not upset with the guy who serviced me but the call center and their leadership team.I called last week and talk to their managment team and it is more joke than csr. i feel like i was discrimmated and the gentleman was laughing i can tell by tone of voice. he basically hung up the phone so i called again and spoke to sweet lady she was nice. i am asking to review the call the guy say don't use that kind of language. last time **** language is sweing and using F*** word. i could assure you never used profinity. i don't know what type of calls they expect in calling in. below are the actual review of this company from **** Very dissatisfied with this company. I hope you read this before you sign up. I thought the first 'sales' treatment went well. Thereafter, it was painful to see my hard-earned money go to waste. Is there a star rating lower than a one? Seriously!They locked me in an ******************************** $169 every 4-6 weeks, and I can't cancel even tho their service *****. They tell me that they will arrive between 8am and 8pm, and only give me a ***** min heads up. If I'm not home they can't treat the inside but still charge the full price. Then they say if I see bugs I can call and they will come back, but if I see bugs within three weeks they say that the product hasn't taken effect yet, and I need to wait until the three weeks are over.Business Response

Predatory practices I was told it was month to month service fee and no contract needed by door sales man.Contract was never sent to my email. A ***** *** came to my yard asking me to help him out. He said he was giving away a free service to have my yard sprayed. He told me I didn't have to pay him anything my neighbor just got the service next door. He said he was trying to go on a trip to AZ and he just needed people to accept the free offer. The guy was supposed to come the next day. I said, sure no problem. And now I have a bill saying I open an account. I never opened an account or even read a service agreement. The guy even said that I didn't have to use my real name, but I said it didn't matter because I wasn't paying for anything. I called the company told them they needed to speak with the ***** *** who came to my door to get this straightened out. This issue has not been resolved. I'm going to follow up later this week with the company again. I'm sure this can't be the only occurrence of this happening.Business Response

Aptive Environmental was conducting door-to-door sales in my neighborhood for insect treatment inside and outside. I specifically asked if they treated cicada killers and the salesperson told me yes. When I had the treatment done, I asked the person applying the chemicals and he said, no, the company does NOT treat cicada killers. When I called to complain to the company, the service center indicated that they show different information. It took two treatments to confirm what the service technician had to say, so I hired a different company to treat the cicada killers. I paid the cost for the two treatments that I received but the Company refused to simply cancel my account. This company engaged in deceptive practices, and failed to properly provide the notice of the three-day right to rescind a home contract, as required under Pennsylvania law. This company is untrustworthy and I strongly encourage anyone considering using their services to stay away from them.Business Response

They came to my door offering safe pest control services. They claimed it would be $200 for the year and they would come multiple times within the year. They charged me for each visit. Which was a sprinkling of their product. I canceled the service after the second viait. Then they charged me another $199. I feel their pricing is deceptive at best. I filled a dispute with my credit card company. I doubt I will ever see the money. Hopefully others can learn from my mistake and not use this company.Business Response

An approve guy came to my door. I told him it was too expensive. He kept lowering and lowering and after about 15 tries I finally agreed that $150 for whole year I would do. They charged me $150 per spray and when I went to cancel they charged me $199 for breaching the contractBusiness Response

We signed up with Aptive, and during their initial treatment not only did the tech not take care of everything he was suppose to he sprayed the inside of my home and assured me it would dry clear. The next day I had white spray marks all around the perimeter of every floor in my home. I called Aptive, and a supervisor came out to take pictures and said he would follow up with me. I never heard back, so I called him, and he told me to hire a cleaning company. I declined as this is their mistake and they needed to fix it, and also had reservations for the exact reason I'm going to state... This was escalated to the operations manager who told me the same thing, to hire a cleaning company and they would reimburse me. I hired a cleaning company and spent $300 dollars getting my floors cleaned. I submitted the invoice over two weeks ago, and have received no follow up on my refund. I emailed the operations manager, and she is not able to provide me any information other than it has been submitted. No time frame, no update on where they are at in the process. She keeps saying she will reach out when she has a time frame, but I hear nothing every time and I end up having to reach out. It should not take over 2 weeks to reimburse someone, as this should be a priority since this was their error and their suggestion. I have no information on my refund at all. I want my money back, or I will be reaching out to the attorney general.Business Response
