      In June, 2023, a very annoying and pushy Aptive salesman came to my door. Reluctantly after several attempts to get him to leave, i signed what he said was a “cancel whenever with no termination fee” contract. After one year of service, I requested to cancel my contract. At no time was i told i had an 18 month contract and there would be a $199 cancellation fee. Fast forward to December, 2024, I receive a letter from aptive advising they’re sending me to collections for failure to pay the fee. When i tried to dispute the claim, they replied they’ve made several attempts to contact me regarding the charge and to pay. How is one letter several attempts to contact me? After receiving the reply, I instantly received approximately 8 texts from aptive with a link to pay the bill. Shortly thereafter I received a notice from collections. This seems to be a reoccurring theme with aptive as a whole and it’s insane. Why wasn’t i told and/or charged the $199 at the time i cancelled? Why wait 6 months and send me one letter?

      Initial transaction was june 2024 salesman came to my house as me my wife and toddler was attempting to leave spoke with the salesman for almost 30mins in the sun and he would not take no for an answer and agreed to starting at $50 for my first treatment with no cancellation fees after first and second treatment i did not recieve everything listed in my plan and found out the salesman signed me up for a higher plan than what we agreed upon which came with more services that were not being done either. I have tried reaching out to cancel with no callbacks from the company i have sent my email to cancel today with no response. When attempting to reschedule my most recent appointment the tech said he would do so on 12/31/24 and rescheduled it for 1/22/25 on 1/2/25 a different tech informed me he was heading to my residence when i informed him that i rescheduled my appointment he informed that techs cant reschedule appointments and that he is still on the way. This is my last straw this business is not consumer friendly at all the salesman lied to my face didnt give me a chance to read the contract just told me to initial to lock in my rate. And to make matters worse they never solved my ant issue

      I signed up for a quarterly service. In 2024, they charged me (7) times. I called them on 12/30/2024 and they told me they send an email sometime between March and May 2023 about the change and quarterly was not offered. I asked for the email as I couldn't find one and they said they didn't have it. I told them in 2024 I called twice for a follow up service as I had ants and that service was to be free. They asked me what dates and I told them it should be in their system. They advised they can only see emails and if it was a phone call, I would need the date so they could listen to the phone recording. I advised I had agreed to quarterly which is four and not seven. They advised I could go back to that, but they weren't refunding me. It sounds like fraud and they have no records. I asked where they were located and they said ****.

      I was charged for service without being informed of this and when I called to cancel my service I was not allowed to. I was told I had to show proof that my new address did not have a pest control company.

      Dear Representative:We received a statement indicating that we owe Aptive $199.00. Neither my wife nor I are aware of any service indicated in the notice . We recall them spraying around the house and we paid them. We declined continuing the service. We have not seen nor heard from them since. And I cant imagine that a spray around our home could amount to that sum of money. I would never have agreed to it.I am 85 and my wife is 81. Are we being scammed because of our age?**** ***** ***************************************

      12/23/2024 I was automatically charged when I never gave authorization. I requested any bill to be sent for review and the greedily went ahead and charged me. They falsely advertised their services and respective prices as well, taking advantage of a disabled citizen. Unacceptable

      I am rejecting this response because:
      This issue was not resolved, the illegally procured my subscription by providing false information on the day of sale. As I notified their salesman I am disabled and only receive SSD to fulfill fiduciary responsibilities. I was presented with a plan of treatment that would suffice under noted circumstances and then when service began I was notified that they dont offer the treatment plan sold to me. So they falsely advertised and then to cancel the falsely advertised subscription I was automatically charged a cancellation fee where I asked them to send the bill, never authorized for them to charge my debit card. Extremely unprofessional and contains aspects of illegality.

      My husband and I signed a one year contract for services with this company and from the beginning they lied to us saying other neighbors were using them and we knew we wanted to go with our neighbors company. They even knew our neighbors names. Because we signed a contract we had to stay with their company for a year. We were lied to about the price and they tried to charge us more. After our year was up I was told to sign on the techs phone to get the service for the day. I said I cant see what I am signing and the tech assured me it was just for the service that day and it was a new policy they had. I was adamant we no longer wanted to work with the company and would not sign another contract and was told again it was just for the days service. Right after that we got an email saying we signed another year contract. So I called to tell them we are tired of their lies and we would no longer do business with them and was canceling the service.They are now calming we owe ****** which is not true. We fulfilled our one year contract with them and even did a service beyond that.

      I wish we had seen the bad reviews before Aptive Environmental scammed us out of $600 starting in April, 2024, and they are now, in December, 2024, trying to send us to collections for another $200. Aptive makes it very difficult to cancel, told us that we've successfully cancelled back when we repeatedly attempted to cancel starting in the summer of 2024. However, they kept coming back and charged us for more services and for early cancellation. Their service failed to reduce any of the pests, so all they do well is take money. In Fall 2024, we were irate and finally got a hold of someone and told them why we wanted to cancel. They said they would give us one more treatment at no charge and would cancel if we were still not satisfied. We still were not satisfied and they charged for treatments and still didn't cancel.Aptive fooled us into depending on their services to get rid of ants and rats. We were doing a better job at killing ants and rats than they did before they started. So, thanks to Aptive, the rats destroyed all the fruit on our trees and ants invaded the house worse than ever, damaging both house plants and injuring small caged pets.The pests just got worse under their pretense to know what they are doing. They know nothing about the ants or rats or their habits and don't accomplish anything to reduce their numbers. Based on their behavior, lack of professionalism and knowledge, and disregard of our observations and explicit instructions, no one should trust them to treat areas frequented by pets or livestock.

      My wife was the first contact with Aptive & wasn't convinced with the young man that came to our door. She didn't sign up & asked for a few days to think about it. They came back & they convinced her that it was worth the money & gave her a great discount for the first treatment. She was concerned about the cancellation **************** They told her not to worry about it, that after the first treatment we could cancel. We did the first treatment & were told that we couldn't cancel or it would be $199 fee. We only had a 3 day period after signing to cancel & we were outside that timeframe. They told us that we would see results after 4-6 weeks. They said the treatments were also for fleas & ticks since we had dogs. ********* traps were added as well to our contract. We did our first treatment in June then following treatments in July, ******************** They had told us to cancel our mosquito treatments with another company because theirs was better. So we did. But there was no relief from the mosquitos, so we called the other one back. We also had a terrible tick infestation on our dogs! I called *************************** told me that I needed to wait 4-6 weeks to see the results. I explained that we have had the service for 4 months already so how many times is the 4-6 weeks result excuse going to work? She even realized what I was saying was true. They sent a free treatment to only work on the ticks. Inside & out. It didn't work again. We had to do other home ********************** & vet visits to get the dogs fixed. We tried again to cancel & they still told us that we couldn't. They came out another time in October. During all this time, nothing was relieved. We still had insects, flies, & spiders that supposedly the treatments would fix. Nothing was working. So I tried to cancel again but they said I had to do 2 more treatments. No matter what, we cannot get out of this unless we pay $199 or more for treatments! Too much money already spent for nothing! Not any more!
