      An Aptive Environmental salesman visited my home last spring. I signed a contract, which he modified to allow for quarterly visits, with the provision that if I canceled within one year there would be a $199 penalty. In response to my specific concern and questions, he stated that the technician would ONLY use deterrents for moles and voles - that is the only reason I agreed to the treatments. I adamantly do not want poison placed outside on my property. When the tech visited the first time, he laughed and said they have no deterrents, only poison. He gave me a few bags of this to use if I changed my mind (I still have these). I continued with the service, but Aptive continually tried to automatically schedule bi-monthly service. I contacted them by phone, spoke with a supervisor, and was told I would be removed from auto schedule. That did happen for a few months, but then I was again contacted regarding automatic and unnecessary appts. After canceling a few times, I again called. This time I was told that it was impossible to opt out, and that there was no one with that authority with whom I could speak. I said I would cancel and was informed that I would owe the $199. I objected on the grounds that they had already breached the terms of the contract and the verbal assurances of the salesman. When I hung up and went online, I had been locked out of my account. I have recently been contacted by *************, a collections agency, as a delinquent account of ********************. I have disputed the claim and will notify the major credit agencies. Aptive has been frankly deceitful in their sales approach and their customer service. This company should be censured at the least!

      Aptive Pest Control and I interred into a contract to eliminate bugs in my home. We agreed a long term contract. They came to my house and applied some chemicals for pest control. After each application , I paid ( by direct debit) exactly the amount to asked for. After several applications I did not notice any change. I still had as many bugs as before they started. I complained about this to them, but there was no remediation. As I result I decided to opt out and seek help with another company. Now they want me to pay a penalty for opting out and threatening me with reporting to debt collectors. Prior to that , they had harassed me and still do with emails and calls and letters. Apparently , they continue to attempt to withdraw money from my account which I already closed

      In March 2024, a salesperson from Aptive came to our new home, which we had just moved into, and recommended their pest control services. I refused multiple times, but he kept lowering his price and misleading me into believing that I would only need to pay around $30 per month for a year's worth of service.

      It wasn't until December when I changed my credit card and checked the Aptive bill that I discovered I was actually paying $55 plus tax each month, and the service was provided every 50-80 days, or approximately every two months. The salesperson did not clearly explain these details to me, and I am very angry about it.

      I saw that my next service was scheduled for the end of December, so I immediately canceled the service and closed my account. From April to now, I have been paying $55 plus tax each month, and Aptive has provided me with four services, with the most recent one being on November 1st. This means that there were no subsequent services after November 2nd.

      However, since my monthly bill is sent out in the middle of the month, I was still charged for December, but fortunately, my credit card had been reset, so the payment was unsuccessful. Aptive has been calling me to try to get me to pay for December's service, but I refuse to pay for a service that I did not receive. Not to mention that I was misled by the salesperson when I signed up for the service.

      I called Aptive and explained my situation, but they simply said that because I canceled my account after the bill had already been sent out, I still had to pay. I think this is ridiculous - why should I pay for something that they didn't even do?

      I hope that through the BBB, Aptive will cancel my account and clear my balance, and stop calling and emailing me. I also don't want to see any more salespeople showing up at my doorstep.

      Also, since they close my account, I cannot get access to any of the invoices and documents as proof now. Thanks in advance for your help.

      I signed a contract on June 2023 for 18 months. I was not happy with the service and cancelled before the end date. They told me it was canceled. The servicer even tried to sell me a new contract with a discount in Oct 2023. I refused and said to them that I would like to cancel. On 1/20/2025, they sent a servicer to my house and then charged me `******. I had assumed that this might have been part of the old contract but when I called, they are saying that this is a new contract. I never signed a new contract and did not authorize the service for 1/20/2025. When I called them, they said I had to pay the amount for them to cancel. Otherwise I might be reported to service bureaus and sent to collections. I paid them so it will not be reported to the credit reporting agencies. They also said that they will close my account but who knows? I would like a refund of the unauthorized service and charges. I would also like a recording of all the times I cancelled.

      This business did not perform the services they said they would. They were told we were educators and unable to be home during the day. They still came out and charged us for services even though they did just the outside and not the inside per the "contract". When we tried to cancel, we were given run around. The value is not what was promised by the initial door to door salesperson. Furthermore, we did not agree to monthly visits. It was our understanding, the services were schedule for around every ***** days--not MONTHLY.

      August of 2024 a salesmen came to our house and offered a deal on their pest control services that would kill bugs, ants in our yard at a reduced price. Stated that the services would include 4 treatments. One in early spring. one late spring, one during summer, and one in the fall at a greatly reduced price. Instead they came each month from August to November and charged us each month $75. In December we canceled the service. They said we had a signed contract for 18 months and there would be $199.00 cancelation fee. First of all there was no contract mentioned by the salesman, and second of all there was no contract presented, and third of all no contract was signed. We told them on the phone that we did not agree to any contract with their salesman, no contract was presented to us, and no contract was signed by us. They sent us a letter dated January 6, 2025, with a billing of $199.00 due and stating that should the payment remain unpaid that it would be forwarded to their collections agency. We are not willing to pay a bill that was never mentioned or agreed to.

      Aptive came to our home unannounced talked to my husband for about 30 minutes. They said they could get rid of spiders (I still have spiders) They didnt leave any paper work name cards nothing my husband was going to try them for 1 year ( they say we have a 2 year contract) I called them to ask why they were putting down bug control in the winter they said it was for preventive measures $75 each time .i called told them I didnt want anymore in the winter, they said they would be back in April. I looked at my charge card records they have a bill pending for January. I want to cancel them they havent gotten rid of the spiders if I cancel them they want $199. For canceling

      I have signed up with Aptive in June 2024. The salesman who knocked on my door did not mention anything about a cancellation fee when signing up. He said the regular charge is around $158 and if I sign up that day, he will make it $99 for the initial visit. At the initial visit, they charged $99 as promised. After the initial visit, they visited two more times and charged $158 each time. They keep automatically scheduling without my permission and I cannot cancel the appointment from their website. If I try to reschedule, it only shows very limited slots. So I went ahead and cancelled the service. Then they charged me $199 as cancellation fee. I will check if ring video has the logs of our conversation with the salesman that day. But he definitely did not mention a cancellation fee and the only discount he promised was to reduce the initial visit fee to $99 if I signed up that day, which I did.

      I agreed to a one time $50.00 mosquito spray. I kept getting bills for $139 for 4 months. I never signed the service agreement. The signature on the service agreement from APTIVE is clearly NOT MINE. I called Aptive, they refused to do anything. I never saw anyone from APTIVE again, even though they charged me. They have charged me $139 a month from September of 2024 to December of 2024, for a total of $556. I have stopped payment on checks thru the bank.

      Had a door to door salesman knock on my door offering pest control in my neighborhood. I signed all the paperwork to have them get started with the services. The pesticides did not work. I tried to cancel and aptive wants me to pay a 200 dollar cancelation fee plus 211 dollars, but no services were rendered to warrant a 211 dollar bill. These people need to pound sand and stop with this fraudulent trap and stay off people's property.
