      I am really tired of companies like this taking advantage of seniors, my mom was told she need to upgrade her system because it was old and one of the first systems they had installed over 10 years or so, my mom agreed when tech got there he convinced her to install a camera and some sensors and a something around her neck, for over ***** my mom never agreed to that because shes on a fixed income and knows she cant afford it. I called the company and was told she verbally agreed to this contract they have nothing with her signature agreeing to this. I asked for a copy and was told I need to supena..SMH never will I recommend this company.

      If I could give ZERO stars, I would! I never liked their sales pressure techniques, but I never had a problem with the services..UNTIL I went to cancel my services (Long story short I was able to receive the same services from ADT saving over 50% on my bill. As a teacher who hasnt received a raise in five years, I jumped on that deal, out of pure necessity!) When I called Vivint to cancel, I was told that because back in 2021 we took out a line of credit to purchase a doorbell camera and an additional camera to be mounted above our garage that opening the line of credit locked me into a FIVE YEAR CONTRACT! Now if I want to break that contract, it will cost me over $1,000. DO NOT GO WITH VIVINT..you WILL regret it!!

      Spare yourself from the **************** that these sales reps have to off which is honored by their company. A week of lies after lies after lies only to be told that we cannot honor the 30 cancelation fee free that your rep promised you because they didn't put it on *********** trail period is only 3 days. The sales rep placed the blame on his supervisor & refuses to answer any calls or text. One of the biggest corporate scammers.

      I wish I could give 0 stars. Vivint has been the worst company to deal with BY FAR. Ive been on the phone for over an hour and a half now trying to cancel and its one excuse after another. DO NOT purchase anything from Vivint. Their customer service is trash, equipment is garbage, the contract is too long, its expensive, it is absolutely not worth it.

      Two Vivint representatives canvassed my neighborhood on June 26, 2024 in search of homes with existing security systems. After a demeaning semi rap, song and dance performance, they offered a special discount if I would allow Vivint to use my house as a model for their system. They referenced a list that they had to name fellow long term residents they claimed to have spoken with. Most disturbing was their claim (after referring to the list for a name) that a neighbor told them that I was nice and suggested that they speak with me. This neighbor was not at home at the time and later denied ever seeing them.I believe these reps accessed public records for the names associated with the addresses in my neighborhood. Their fraudulent approach, in all probability, could put unsuspecting families in ***** way if they are being named as the referring party. The disrespect and disregard exhibited by this company towards me and my fellow neighbors safety and intellect is beyond abhorrent.

      I have been trying to cancel my monitoring with Vivint since moving and transferring my equipment to my new address. Every time I try try to cancel, I received different "account balance" amounts with apologies and offers for free months of monitoring when all I wanted to do was cancel my contract. This company and anyone who works for it is a disgrace. DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF USING THIS COMPANY.

      We purchased a home with this system in it a few years ago, and assuming it was not operational, we opened our home to renters. After two people accidentally tripped the alarm, having no access code, and the police being called, we finally reached out to the company to see about having it removed/canceled. They are incredibly unhelpful, told us they don't have any capability to remove systems (odd, because they can install them), continually tried to say the alarm doesn't work (even though the police will show up if it is tripped). AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I'm going to end up ripping this stupid system out of my walls because they refuse to do it - although after reading all these posts, it might not be the worst thing, as it appears their installation is garbage too.

      I was mislead and was told that no one could come out and remove a sensor and install a new one. I told her I have Vivint plans and she then told me she would give me a one time credit and send a technician out but I couldnt sign back up for 12 months. Crazy how u do long time customers.

      Like some of my fellow reviewers, I would give this company zero stars if I could. I was cornered by a salesperson literally right after I got out of my car after getting home from work. I humored this salesperson because I wanted to at least hear about the company. It quickly went downhill from there. The salesperson denigrated my current system. The salesperson kept pushing me. The salesperson called some rep to try and get me set up with a free trial even after I repeatedly said I wanted to think about it and make no commitment or have anything installed at the time. The rep on the phone had to have heard be say that at least five times, but the salesperson should have respected my answer the first time. I should have excused him at that point. He then kept going this is a now or never deal, which is a pushy tactic to get people to agree to their nonsense. I wasnt biting. I requested his contact information in case I changed my mind. He refused to give that to me because he realized I was not going to agree to an install/system and said I dont give my contact information to people who waste my time but dont worry, you arent one of them. So, not only was the salesperson rude and pushy, he was also very passive aggressive with his behavior. I understand that their job is to sell your company and its products, but you all really need to train your salespeople to actually have manners and not be jerks. All that to say, I will never recommend this company to anyone nor will I ever purchase anything from you all.

      Buyer Beware: A Scathing Review of VIVINT 1 Star is being generous!!!! Extremely frustrated and dissatisfied customer! I had the extensive system installed but had problems since the beginning. Although all the components were new (still in box), everything started malfunctioning almost immediately: Reliability and peace of mind should be paramount in home security. Unfortunately, VIVINT fails spectacularly on both fronts. Promising top-tier protection at a premium price, this system instead delivers frustration, inconsistency, and a customer service experience straight out of a nightmare.Exorbitant Cost for Subpar Performance Let's start with the price tag. [Home Security System Name] demands a princely sum for its services, promising state-of-the-art protection against intruders and emergencies. However, what you actually get is far from cutting-edge.Inconsistent Performance: A Security System's Fatal Flaw Reliability should be non-negotiable when it comes to home security. Yet, VIVINT seems determined to redefine the meaning of inconsistency. Examples: doorbell camera consistently went offline or taking an exorbitant time to connect, system going off by itself, error messages indicating my window sensor was "out of battery", and the main hub acting up as if possessed (the only way I can describe it) because it kept going off as if someone was pushing buttons. It was so bizzare, I took video of this hub acting up.Nightmare **************** If the erratic performance of the system itself isn't enough to dissuade potential buyers, the abysmal customer service certainly will. Dealing with VIVINT's support team is akin to navigating a labyrinthine maze of ineptitude and indifference. All I kept getting was apologies and offers for free months of monitoring when all I wanted to do was cancel my contract. For a company purportedly dedicated to safety and customer satisfaction, their approach is nothing short of disgraceful. DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO
