      I'd give less stars if possible. I only have this system in my home because it was part of deal with getting my solar panels. I never received any billing notifications as the system was "free" for 3 years and without any warning they now say i have to pay. No notification the 3 years was coming to a close and that billing would start, no option to opt out of service. Then while on the phone you have to give them 30 day notice of cancellation which is complete BS so that they can prorate an additional bill. If i cancelled any other service its cancelled that day. I will not be paying them anything ever. Not only is their communication and business practice unethical but the app to control the system rarely works and has been a pain to deal with. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company and their shady garbage.

      PSA-DO NOT BUY VIVINT. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!!! I HAVE MOVED 2 YEARS AGO and they will NOT CLOSE MY ACCOUNT UNTIL I PAY FOR THE EQUIPMENT IN FULL (Over $1,000) and they are forcing me to pay an early termination fee for the remaining term of monitoring under the contract which originally lasted until 2027 ($900). Because my account is not closed for not paying the full equipment balance it will now default to collections on my CREDIT due to nonpayment for service at a residence that I am no longer occupying. DO NOT LISTEN TO THE SCAMMING SALESMAN ????? SHOWING UP AT YOUR DOOR TRYING TO WIN YOU OVER WITH DISCOUNTS AND PAYING LATER. BECAUSE YOU WILL PAY FOR IT!!!!!! And you better have the thousands that they ask for before it ruins your credit. This company gets NO stars from me. They better be lucky or forced me to check at least one

      They are the best in the business with bait and switch. I was quoted a price much lower while I was shopping and comparing prices. When I called back the next day to sign the contract, the price changed significantly. BUYER BEWARE!

      If I could rate Vivint a "zero," I would. A few months after the equipment was installed, I reached out to the *** who performed the installation for information concerning their camera system. I made no less than ten calls spaced out over ten weeks or so. He NEVER returned my call!I contacted their corporate office in order to speak with his supervisor and explained the issue. The supervisor either never got the message or couldn't bother - much like his subordinate.The installer's name is **** and his number begins with an 801 exchange. I urge you NOT to engage their services if he will be the point-of-contact. He is irresponsible and unresponsive. Also, I've had at least two break-ins since the equipment was installed. I was assured that, since the system is cell-tower based, it could not be hacked or deauthorized. That is NOT the case as the system was never activated during these events.

      I have the camera doorbell issue, and had it for 5 weeks. I called for support, they have the worst customer service!!! I call the ********************** ***************** and It was a call center in the *********** . The person I spoke to name ***, instead of helping me, he wanted to sell more products for upgrade. another person name *******, do not know how to respect the customer request to speak with the supervisor. Completely stressfull.

      I tried to cancel an account and it took 2 months to get a refund for an overpayment of my bill - they make it difficult to cancel / very poor customer service- one part of the company doesnt know what the other part is doing - very disjointed and disappointing. I called to cancel and ended up continuing to charge me - then they blamed the error on me.

      This is by far one of the worst companies. **************** is bad, the service is bad and the technicians are definitely not well trained. Thats do this everyday and you would think that they would have some knowledge of what equipment is necessary based off of the square footage of a home to make sure that it functions properly in someones home. They scheduled me for 8am-12pm at 11:14 I received a text saying 12-4pm at at 4pm no one had shown up and no one called to tell me anything. This has happened on multiple occasions. Ive only had this system for 4 months and Ive had issues the entire time. They have one department that works well, their billing department. I paid upfront for all of the equipment and I am canceling this service. It is the worst and I advise no one purchase this stuff.

      Regret. Yes, I regret it. I should've looked at reviews and not listened to that salesmen at my door because this is a terrible service with terrible products. It seemed alright at first but it actually doesn't work well at all. My parents have the ring and theirs is way better. I pay $50/month for the subscription service and I can't even scrub back through my surveillance footage to see who hit my car. When I really need the system it doesn't work. It's slow and laggy which the main selling point in the demo was that it doesn't lag. The only thing that works right is the alarm. The video feed the salesman shows has to be fake because mine has never loaded that fast so either the equipment they gave me is not the same or they have some kind of superspeed internet that I don't, or the video is fake. I think the video is fake, I don't trust them at all now. Every single other device I have connected to my wifi works perfectly fine. I have a cheap $25 camera from ****** that works better than Vivint. I wouldn't be mad about it if the whole thing didn't cost $4000. For that amount I expect a reliable product and service. I can't believe I got got like this! Never again! Now I'm stuck paying for garbage that I DO NOT WANT and DOES NOT WORK. 3 days is not enough time to test the system out and see if it works for you and cancel. And the thing that really made me think they were an ok company is that right after I got them one of my friends told me he had a friend that worked for them and they were good. Well, they could be good and it would be great if they were good, but they're not good. At all. They are untrustworthy. All they want to do is charge you to have a tech come out so they can tell you you need to buy something else. Worst kind of company. And I would say my experience is a fluke but after I went online and saw all these reviews, no, especially since they all say the same things. Very few companies have ONE star. That means you are BOGUS!

      I would give no stars if it was optional. I stupidly locked myself in a h*** contract in 2019. I counted down the months to be able to cancel. I called in June I couldnt cancel until July 5th. I called July 5th. I was so happy to officially be done with this c*** company. Fast forward to November, and all of a sudden I owe a $100 balance and they need to listen to the call from July to make sure I cancelled. What?! You just randomly decided to bill me four months later and now arent sure I even cancelled (even though the notes clearly say I cancelled). Im over it. They can turn that $100 over to collections for all I care. That company is a pain to deal with anyway, their equipment is always finicky, talking to someone is dang near impossible, and their contracts and cancellation policies are scammy. I knew all this before I even cancelled, so I had mentally prepared myself to deal with their lack of customer service and chaos.

      I have had Vivint smart home for abt 8 yrs Had small issues along the way but were fixable. Now this yr on 31 March 2024 I upgraded to a new panel, it would be black,, or buffering a lot and my cameras would go out or no recording for hrs or a whole day!So I upgraded the garage cam and had the two cameras on 1 on the side and 1 in back yard taken out! The technician **** said that they had a buyback program and I could receive a few hundred dollars for the cameras, so I let him take them with him. He stated he would get back with me on the amount because he was not sure! Never heard back from **** I have called customer service a number of times! One representative ******, called **** while we were on the phone and **** stated he did take the cameras and informed me abt the buyback program. Then I was transferred to ******** and promised discount on services, no pay for 3 months I asked for 6 months, based on the cameras taken. I hit Nothing. From the same phone call ******** had a technician, **** come out on 30 May 2024, whom did not know what he was there for, he stated, so I stated I believe you are here to see where the cameras were cut and check for the new panel and garage cam. I have been calling Vivint abt this situation off and on my last call was 6 Nov 2024 talked with *******/******? Asked about the cameras, discount on service for the hurricane disaster power was out for 10days,I informed her I wanted my cameras back never received anything for them and they are payed for. ****** asked for tech name (****) she called him, stated that he doesnt remember and then that he did not take my cameras. YES he did! The wires are still hang on the side and the back door! It was documented by tech ****. I cannot get anywhere, I have asked to speak with legal they transfer me to loyalty office! I am not happy with my services and I need help. Thank you
