      I was a loyal customer of ********************** for over 4 years. I recently sold my home and called to cancel the service. I was told that the proper protocol was to see if the buyers would want to continue an account with ********************** and transfer my account to them. They said if the account was not transferred they would inform me via email and I could cancel my account then. I was never contacted by Vivint like they said, so I was shocked to receive a late notice from them. Come to find out I owed them for the past month after the home sold. To add salt to the wound I also owed the following month as they had a 30 day cancellation policy. None of this would have happened if they had cancelled my account like I previously asked, or informed me that the buyers did not transfer my account like they said they would. They have terrible business practices and treated their longtime customer poorly.

      Within two days of the alarm system being installed, the sliding glass door alarm stopped working. I contacted the person that installed it and the person that sold it to me. Neither bothered to call back, but both parties stated to call them anytime and they would help out with any issues. After contact the parent company, the said they would send a new alarm for the door but I had to install it myself. I pay extra for their so called insurance plan where they claimed they would come out to do repairs. To date, I have not seen a Vivint repair person and I get do not get any help from customer service. My camera no longer works in the backyard, again no help from this company. Their equipment is cheap and poorly made. When the Vivint tech installed their equipment, I asked them about removing the old equipment. I was told it wasnt their problem! ***! So I have two sets of alarms on my doors, two sets of fire alarms on the wall. Looks super tacky. I would not have put their equipment in if I had known that. Its complete BS that Im suppose to replace their poor quality equipment myself. Im elderly and disabled. Vivint sold me on their company by lying and stating, if I bought their insurance for the equipment and home service repair, that they would come out any time there is a problem with the equipment. Problem since day 2, still no repair person. Told to do it myself. Buyers beware!!! Company is a scam and a ripoff!!! Im paying $60 more a month than I did with ADT.

      Vivint home security service does not deserve to carry the name home security. I been with this company less than five months and I know I have called tech support ten times or more only to be my own technician by phone with customer service on the phones. I tried to cancel my service but didn't meet the five day cancelation which is not time to determine if the system work or not. My keyless front door lock started malfunctioning 12/05/2024 called for tech support they said the earliest they get someone out is 12/14/2024. I said so you telling me I have to live unsafe for 9 days but when I purchased this system yall was here to install the same day. I don't recommend ***** to use this company. They have the poorest security service I have never used.

      The sales pitch I was given made it sound like the equipment would be paid over time within the service fee amount. When I did the math of my payment to the lender that they required I use for the equipment and the monthly fee and their financing payment the equipment looked like it totaled $8,000. I called customer service to get a break down of each equipment item cost and I was on the phone forever because they did not want to give it to me. Finally I received an email with the information I requested and it did not total the *** sheet they gave me. I did not have a good feeling about this "deal". and I was in my cancellation period and called again to cancel my service. When I had a representative on the line, I said I want to cancel. They talked and tried to change my mind and I said I just want to cancel a few more times. I couldn't get them to cancel and I was on the phone for over an hour so I caved. It was like being interrogated and then caving just to get off the phone. I highly regret that decision

      They are fraudulent. VIVINT out of Provo, ** has continued to draft payments for a service we canceled 8 months ago when we moved. We met the teens of our contract and paid for the equipment. Whats worse is they are also taking payments from the new customers who bought our home. So, double payments on the same address of service. They refuse to refund us. Weve attempted to reason with them and they kept us on the phone for over an hour to cancel our account for the second time. Do not use this company for your home security. They are deceptive and financially harm their customers.

      I used Vivint for 4 years, a couple of months, ago I moved to another country and decided to cancel my service. For the past three months, Ive been trying to cancel my account, but I havent had any success. Its extremely expensive for me to call their customer service from abroad, as they put you on hold for a long time, and when they finally answer, they dont resolve anything.Sending emails hasnt worked eithernobody provides any solution. Meanwhile, theyve been charging me for months, even though I no longer live in the country and havent been using the service.This has been an incredibly frustrating experience, and I wouldnt recommend their services to anyone based on how they handle cancellations and customer support.

      Vivint Alarm system is a big joke. I would defenitly never recommend this company. I was stuck in a 5 year plan that equipment and apps don't ever work. I just threw $5000 away in a security plan that never worked properly. Many time did I call to ***ort that I could never see who was at my front door ringing the bell, because it just stayed scrolling around and never opened to see who was at the front door. *****'s have a really bad resolution. Sales *** don't know what they are offering or better off, they just go with the flow when questions asked about cancellations. I was told that as long as I payed my equipment in full, I could cancel any time after. Don't spend your money on Vivnit... IT SUCKS!

      They are nothing but frauds. They promise a back up protection with version to always provide security, support and footage. They promised cancelation at any time. But when i called to cancel because its been 2 weeks with no service they told me im locked in for 5 years and i will pay fees. The app does not work. The cameras do not work and they send stranger's to your house to harass you into using them.

      I had Vivint service for over 7 years. When I was selling my home beginning in October, I called to cancel the service. The *** in the "loyalty" department told me I would have two free months of service ********************* to leave the service on to provide the home buyer the option of taking over the service. After I sold the home, I called back on November 25 to cancel. I responded to their "Intent to Cancel" email immediately as requested, and was told the service would be canceled within 30 days. Then I was charged for a month of service on that very day. When I called to get it straightened out, they said I could not be refunded because the charge was still pending with my bank. I called back today to request the refund and by the way the service is still on. I was on with them for at least a half and hour, much of that time was on hold. I was told they turned off the auto pay, the service will be cancelled within 30 days (by December 25, which is coincidentally the next bill due date) and I should expect a refund by January 4. The website still shows that auto pay is on. I have changed the payment method so that my checking account will no longer be charged. I hope what they told me with this 4th phone call is accurate. Please do not deal with Vivint if you do not have to.

      I had been an uninterrupted customer since 2018. In 2022 I moved to a new house and transferred my services. Vivint has among the longest contract lengths out of any security company, 60 months! When I transferred to my new home, that contract was apparently reset to another 60 months. This was never once explained to me, not by the sales person who initiated the transfer, not by the tech that installed the product. So here I am trying to cancel my service after seven years because I have sold my home and they are telling me I still have 36 months left I have to pay out. Again I had been a customer for seven years, I own all of the equipment. Its near impossible to detach yourself form this company once you join. Literally any security company would be better. Shocking lack of customer service and transparency. They are absolutely a scam.
