      We signed up for Viviant Smart Home system to protect our home and loved ones.Weve had this system since 2021 and have had countless issues.1. Smoke alarm randomly goes off in the middle the night for no reason. Weve had two different occasions fire department showed up and almost cited us for a false alarm. Vivint failed to report it to the fire ***** Weve been out of town and the alarm saying that our flood sensor is activated all to find it was a false alarm. Thank god a friend had a key to check on our home. 2. The technician who installed our equipment damaged our door frame. And did not install a door frame strict, both our front and back door were missing them. 3. Our keypad lock randomly gets stuck and locks us out of the house, 5 occasions that I know of. 4. The ring cam does not work for the front door. The system also chooses where it does and doesnt record. 5. When you drop something in the kitchen the glass break alarm will sound off. 6. When the system was installed, we are told white smoke like shower steam would not trip the smoke detector has been moved several times and it still does it.7. Each time weve had a false alarm weve asked for a tech to come out over the intercom of our home and no one has ever contacted us to come out here. 8. I called Vivint 02/04/25 and spoke a rep, explained my concerns and asked to speak to a supervisor. I advised we want to return the defective equipment and cancel our service. I was transferred to a loyalty **** who advised me I would have to pay an early termination fee of ******** to cancel our services. His name was RJ903919 and was rude to me, spoke over me and did not care about our situation and did express any empathy or consideration. 9. I told ** I was filing a formal complaint and he said go ahead and kept talking over me. We have always been on time with our bill and held up our end of the deal. Vivint needs to waive this term fee and pick up their equipment.

      One of the worst businesses i had to deal with. We were stuck with constant false alarms, constantly being charged with false alarms. So when our contract finally expired I was quite happy to cancel. Now they said when I called to cancel on December 17th 2024 that I needed to cancel in to the email that they sent me. But today is February 4th 2025 and I'm still being charged monthly for a service that has been disconnected since December. Service was terrible while we had Vivint I would never recommend it but even worse is the fact that they continue to charge us even after we canceled in writing and did everything we were supposed to do.

      ****** sends door to door salesman to our subdivision despite it being a "a No Solicitation" neighborhood. When told of this the sales people want to argue that they aren't soliciting. I had to threaten to call the cops to get him to leave. This has happened several times.Are they really sales people or thieves checking out homes 2 burglar?

      I asked for my alarm company Vivint to fix my alarm system which they did the person they sent talk to me about solar panels backup by Vivint he said they would sponsor everything they did cut down a tree and redid the roof for the panels now that its done Im being billed by ********** in partnership with Launch Svs they are depth collection agency I really disrespected by Vivint sending this to me I dont need this in my life i told Vivint about this they gave me a case number but no one I calling me to discuss everything I need help with this Vivint is no help

      The salesman came late at night, and did his spiel. While i told him my dad has passed that week, and my husband saying he wanted to research the system before we agree.. he said we had 30 days, no questions asked to try it out. My husband then asked if we didnt like it, if we were tied to anything and he said absolutely not; only the $1 and some change you just spent Well 5 days passed, they got my address wrong 5 different times.. and i just wanted to cancel. Well, you cant after 3 days without having to pay off the entire system + the contract. This is NOT what the salesman told us, or any other of our neighbors. He even told me no one cancels during the 30 days because they love it so much - no, its because you lie to get a deal.Unfortunately; we are stuck. They refuse to help us and wont back up what the customer is saying.. but as a realtor, i will NEVER recommend this company to anyone.Not to mention, my fiber internet was doing amazing until we got this security system.. and we had ****** nest before.

      I have been a customer, of **********************'s for at least 10 years. We have had nothing but problems with their equipment. The last time we called they talked us into getting new equipment. The new equipment was installed and now we're having all new problems, after 2 months of ************** they added a new problem with billing. This company, without a doubt is the worst company I have ever dealt with.The equipment is inferior and the people are not very professional.

      My electric company referred me to Vivint and I did read some of bad reviews. A sales guy assured me the company has changed and that he had worked with the company for some time and there has not been any complaints. I proceeded with the service as the equipment was free of charge thank goodness. I would give a 1 as customer service is good and the equipment worked half of the time. I have been with this company since May 2024 putting up with the equipment not working properly and multiple service techs coming to visit my home as well as spending time on the phone trouble shooting the issue of the camera going offline. Vivint you continue to want me to pay for this crappy equipment and poor service and then want me to pay more money to get out of a contract, what a complete joke. Your resolution is send just one more tech out to my house, which makes 6 now, that says a lot about your equipment and service you provide. And I can't cancel until I pay to get out of the service contract. Vivint you are not getting one more ***** out of me. Stop scamming folks and taking people money, just shut the business down.

      I am happy to have cameras installed and to have the peace of mind of an alarm system; however, my experience with Vivint, especially their installation team and to some extent the service department. When I signed up with Vivint, the salesman said there was a special promotion that included a discount if the installation was completed that day. The installer came that night and was there till after 11pm installing my panelso my young son and I were alone with this stranger after 11 pm! He was unprofessional (complaining about his boss), he borrowed my drill because he didnt have the right tools and then took it with him when he left(!), and he did such an ugly job with the installation. Im also pretty sure he filled out the customer evaluation himself and didnt give me a chance to. When I called the company to fix these problemsalbeit after the ********************************************************* a $99 service fee, offering me only a $15 credit to my account for my inconvenience. I think the company has good products but they butchered this installation job and didnt make up for it when they could have. They are offering $300 if I refer them to other customers, but I will not be taking them up on that offer because I do not recommend them.

      Vivint sales person lied about the functionality of the doorbell camera. They told me it would detect my whole driveway and that 24/7 recording was included in my plan. Turn out, that was false. Someone wound up breaking into my car and rummaging through my things. I realized that my car is in clear view of my camera since its right in front of my door. But there were no captures taken. I called vivint to see what they could do and now Im told that the camera is restricted to 10 ft (my car is within 10 feet) and 24/7 is not included and is a $300 charge No empathy or sympathy for the fact that their system failed to protect my family and kids while we were sleeping. Just trying to upsell at my most vulnerable state. They took no accountability for providing misinformation or for the failure of their tools.

      We purchased a Vivint system for our business and was told that we did not have to pay for monitoring and that we could self monitor our cameras using the app. Now Vivint is telling us that we have to pay for their monitoring or we do not have access to our cameras through the app. We frequently have issues with the equipment the install was very sloppy. The cameras also do not record the full video instead only gives you short clips with missing segments if somebody came in and stole something we would not know
