      Vivint by far is the worst security company we have ever dealt with. The panel constantly freezes; panel board goes black; goes from super sensitive to not working @ all. Had CPI about 30yrs ago and they were great; tried ADT and they were also good. Moved and thought we'd try vivint since reviews aside they were in the top 10... I would suggest anybody but Vivint!!! Worst security company ever!!! Was leaving home today and panel frozen and had to cancel appt due to panel going out again and having to call customer service again and get a load of excuses again as to why the panel keeps going out!!! I want to cancel this contract because I feel my home is not being monitored due to this faulty system!!!! ******** company!!!!!

      Firsthand the system and equipment is good and works as intended. I'm happy with that part. However the company made all sorts of promises they didn't live up to. I was told that i could cancel the monitoring part if i paid off my system early. That wasn't valid at all and they won't let me cancel the monitoring service. Vivint has locked me out of my account online and will not let me have access to it anymore. They continue to charge me but will not allow me access. I think this is because they think I will update the payment on the account to try and get out of it. I'm also being told by the Vivint team if i cancel the majority of the system will be rendered useless. If the salesman had told me that it only works with the monthly monitoring I would have bought a system that works once you pay for it. I feel like the this is a scam. There are tons of other systems on the market for half the price that you actually own. When you buy from Vivint you never actually own the full functionality of the unit. It's not a system but a service contract forever.

      My account sales manager shireem stated to me there would be no installation charges for the system upgrade. Additionally, she stated my monthly monitoring fee would drop from $62 to $49 and some change a month. Also, what they did is played word games and charged me a troubleshooting fee of $108 plus some change to install the new system. Vivint sales team was totally dishonest. My account manager Shireem never called me back after I left several messages requesting for her to call me back.

      I was given the ****** service as a free promotion with my solar installment. They refused to cancel my account until I made a payment. I should not be forced to pay for something I dont want, didnt use, and did not agree to pay for. I have the right to cancel my account at any time. I agree with the other reviews. This company is a rip off!

      Have had this system since August 2011. Everything was wonderful until they decided to do an update, and now my cameras no longer have play back. When they were asked about this, they said that my cameras dont have play back capabilities. Thats weird, they did yesterday, but not today. No worries, for an additional $65 a month, they can replace the cameras. The cameras that worked perfectly, until they did their update. No thank you. We were already considering changing to the ring system, and that sealed the deal.

      Took money out of my account without my permission. Trying to get a refund and everyone I've spoke to is giving me the runaround. Been on hold for 3 hours and they hung up. Currently on hold again for 2 hour.

      I was a Vivint customer for over 6 years. I sold my home and did not want to leave holes or missing equipment for the new home owner. Vivint advised me to pay the months left on the contract term and balance on the equipment. It was paid and contact made with Vivint customer service. They advised all was clear and would be canceled. 2 years plus later they are still calling stating account is active and billing has been ongoing. They turn around and take no accountability for their failure to cancel as requested back in 2023! Instead the *** is asking me if I want to move my service for a discount!! ******** customer service and do not recommend anyone to Vivint!

      Move on to someone else,there customer service is terrible! I've been waiting 10 days now for them to replace my carbon monoxide/ smoke detector. They tell me it might be hear in 3 more days. What could be more important than this detector?

      Got deployed and thought my account was put on hold till I returned, half way through my deployment they tried charging me again but to an old card number that expired. They shut off the access to the app and still want to charge me and telling me I owe them over 400 dollars for an account I didn't have access too. I'm not paying for service I didn't have s**** vivant do NOT go through them!!!
