      If you are thinking about Vivint to provide security for your home or workplace, RUN!!I initially switched from ADT (BIG MISTAKE) to Vivint because of the outstanding customer ratings ********************** received. Most of those ratings were likely given BEFORE the company was sold a few years ago. I purchased the home security system from them in October 2024 and it has not worked consistently since (today is March 18, 2025). First they do not have a representative come to your home to make a predetermination of what equipment and accessories you will need. They push you to purchase or lease the equipment and then when a tech comes to install the system, that is when you find out that their equipment does not comport with your needs. By installation time all the equipment is purchased and once installed you are stuck with trying to make it work due to all the trouble you have already gone through just to get it installed. Over time, several telephone representatives have made me go through the exact same, tired exercise every single time I call to complain that the system is not working (the exercise never works). Then a tech comes out at least 3 times before he tells you that the company needs to upgrade their software. Then when the software is updated, it still does not work and another tech tells you that it's due to another reason. I call that incompetent and stringing customers along for the money. I have far better things to do than to contribute to a company's bottom line while trying to be patient while the company tries (or doesn't try) to figure out how to make the **** thing work!!!

      Horrible, Do not do it. The service was c*** and the customer service is even worse. I cancelled my account and paid over $300 to buy out of the contract, they never cancelled my account and continue to charge me. They keep telling me the same thing over the phone that my request for cancellation is in and once it is approved i will get my money back. I am now having to get my lawyer involved.

      Sales *** was pushy and LIED to us about cancelation policy. Now we have alot of money put in the system and continue to have issues. There system ***** and barely works.

      We were loyal customers of ********************** for 7 years. Turned our system off as we were going to sell our home, but things changed. Tried to reactivate and received the run around for 2 weeks which included 4 phone calls, about 12 people and they would not send me to a manager. They also do not tell you that you are signing a 4 year contact nor do they ever show up for service calls. Use any company besides Vivint!

      We initially contacted Vivint Smart Home over a year and a half ago to cancel our membership, as we had moved and no longer resided at the service address. ***** has record of this call, yet they are now claiming the cancellation was not thoroughly completed, and they randomly charged us for a service at an address with which we have no affiliation a year and a half after we let them know we moved.Despite their own notes confirming our request to cancel, Viant has chosen to proceed with billing us for a membership we explicitly ended well over a year ago. When we contacted customer service to address this issue, the representatives seemed incapable of understanding the situation and kept asking irrelevant questionssuch as whether we knew the current condition of the equipment in the home or what the new homeowners are using. Obviously, we have no knowledge of or connection to the property anymore, making these questions completely unreasonable and a clear attempt to deflect responsibility.Rather than acknowledging their error, Vivint is refused to take accountability for their own records showing our cancellation request and insist on charging us. This is unacceptable and appears to be an unethical business practicecontinuing to charge customers for services they neither use nor want, even when there is clear evidence of a cancellation request.

      My car has been broken into 3 times within 5days and the Camara system has not caught anything, i called the company to see if they could/would help me and all *******, badge ID ****** did was tried to get me to add on a $300.00 24hr video recording system. I asked her if she can transfer me to her boss she said for what and left me on hold for 30mins this company is terrible... If I could rate no star's I would

      I dont not recommend this service. My login has never worked for 4 years when I call to try to get answers about payment or technical issues I get the run around. Vivint takes extra payments then say its late fees when I have direct deposit set up. When trying to cancel the service they say call fortiva or I cant because I just started a new contract which is a HUGE lie. I was told I was in a contract for 60 months, but then it renewed when it was at 38 months. The mangers give attitude when I brought up canceling an yell at me like Im the problem.

      I canceled my account May 2024 via phone call simply because of many false alarms in the middle of the night. The company continues to bill me. When I originally signed up the *** did not tell me about the additional charge for the equipment. I was extremely upset but continued to pay both fees for years. ****** is a scam company.
