      I wish there was 0 stars. Don't ever use this company. We've been stuck with them for years because of their contracts, which is completely my fault, but they also make cancellation an absolute nightmare. I don't even know how it's legal for them to make it that difficult to cancel service. My wife was on the phone for several hours multiple days in a row to finally get them to "submit a cancellation order". Then we got hounded by email, text, and phone with people in Vivint trying to upsell us to not cancel. Not to mention the cancellation and everything involved in it is set like a month out to give them plenty of time to make your life h*** before they will actually come take their equipment--even though we've been using them long enough that we have probably paid for the equipment. I hope someone sues them, because there's no way this is all legal. I just don't have the know-how or the f**** to deal with it anymore. I just want it gone.

      I agree with the previous reviews on here. I so wish I would have went with another company or even just brought off ****** an install yourself. This company is a money pot they enter you in multiple different contracts/agreements with them and ******* and don't tell the customer. They say if I cancel i have to pay another thousand dollars and no app access. So cameras are useless. I paid fortiva ******* to close they account smh waste of money. They don't care just want money. App crashes frequently I wish I could give no stars. They offered 20 dollar credit lmao

      The company setup the equipment in a house I was renting, And thats where the issues started. They REFUSED too deliver some of the equipment I was missing, The system was constantly tripping its own alarm, even when disarmed, It never worked. It would never arm, disarm, nothing, After hundreds of calls they never actually fixed the problem or sent anyone out too the house. When we moved out they denied the ability too cancel the contract outright. Even after returning the equipment they are still trying toi charge me monthly and constantly spamming me emails. They couldnt even get the doorbell too ring but they are relentless on calling! Never again. *************. Disgusting. They even tried to say they where actually ADS when they showed up at my door. I'm not that stupid.

      AVOID this company at all costs. Do NOT sign. I signed up on 5/20/25. The technician came out to install that same night so they could quickly get everything installed. He drilled through the side of our house and put a hole in our siding. The system doesn't work as promised. Cameras outside of their own equipment will not integrate with their system. We purchased for the deterrent feature and the promise that everything would integrate. The equipment is cheap, bulky and needs to be plugged into an outlet. There is no difference in camera quality over RING as promised. The App crashes. The main board locks up. Attempting to cancel the service (even under our 30-day trial period) has been a nightmare. They use high-pressure tactics to get you to stay. There's been no response to multiple calls and emails about cancellation and then all-of-a-sudden, while away for the weekend, everything is disabled. No email, no notification, just an unprotected house with no cameras or thermostat working while we are away. We were told to call the loyalty department during business hours. The most surprisingly awful service company I've ever dealt with in my 26 years of home ownership company. Leaving my trip early to go back and install my RING system myself because I can't get any information about when a technician will come remove their system. TOTAL GARBAGE. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

      I have had an absolutely miserable time with Vivint.-Our sales *** promised discounts and a 30 day trial period and never honored them -Our technician left a mess in our house after he was done.2. I have called customer service several times to get this resolved, and they have been no help at all.3. DO NOT recommend Vivint's customer experience to anyone.4. ****** *********** was our sales *** and he ended up being an absolute snake.-DO NOT TRUST THIS PERSON -He refused to get in contact me with to follow up and honor the claims that he made to us -have left VMs, text messages, and emails regarding this as well.-absolutely ghosted us after making promises to my wife and I's face.5. Equipment and system are honestly quite great! Really pleased with that aspect.-However, the rest of the experience has been terrible.

      Vivint came to do an move install on 06/02 to my house, the tech came in and the first thing he said to me was you have to reschedule. I was confused. He told me that it was going to rain and he cannot do his job if it is raining. He pulls out his phone and says that he can get me on their schedule 06/05. I was not happy but i agreed. It is now 06/05 and a tech has not reached out about the install. i called vivint to check to see if there was someone coming out and they said no you are scheduled for 06/12. I was very upset that i was scheduled over a week out and not 2 days like initially told. I asked them to make it right and if i can get an earlier appointment and sat on hold for over an hour while they tried to reach out to their scheduling department who is only able to be reached by chat. I told them i took a whole day off of work to be here and I have now done it for nothing and I have to take another day off. there are like you want us to cancel it. I said no i need a sooner appointment. They basically said sorry about your luck. I said I would like to speak with a manager and was never connected with a manager as no managers are apparently working. I am really disappointed with vivint. They sure tried to sell me more equipment and tried to take my money but they couldnt help out their loyal customer. considering looking into a different security company who actually value their customers time.

      Pulls more out of my bank than agreed upon..that contracted stuck me in a 5 year contract without telling me and equipment cheap always breaking down hard to get a technician out I have been out out the home I originally had set up and I'll still paying for equipment not being used

      I wish I could leave negative stars as that is the only thing this company deserves. I moved from the east coast to the *******, ********** area about 3 months ago and I have gone 3 months without my equipment being installed. I have had 6 appointment cancellations over that time frame. I will state that the customer service was very good and timely on the east coast, but WashingtonIm still not even sure that they actually service this ******** of them, the technician never showed up and claimed that I told him I didnt want the service anymore, which is crazy because I never met with nor spoke to this guy. Another time the SAME TECHNICIAN straight up just didnt even show up and gave no reason. One appointment I got a text message confirmation and when no one showed up, I called Vivint. Who then claimed that there was never an appointment made.The other 3 appointments I was told over the phone, after scheduling, that my appointment was confirmed to be on the date agreed to, and then later told that no appointment was ever actually created.For every single one of these cancellations, other than the 2 previously stated, I was not given any kind of notice for the cancellation, no option to re-schedule, nothing. Ive had to call Vivint every single time to get any shred of information. They have not reached out to me in any regards.For anyone thinking about choosing Vivint, if you live anywhere other than the east coast, find someone else.

      Took two weeks and still unfinished installation. Found a complaint and tried to cancel and didnt want to assist me or give a refund. Also terrible salesman.

      Service not working, wont allow cancellation without charging for early termination fee unless I have tech come for a third time. Poor customer service with excessive hold times and could not speak with a supervisor.
