Predatory sales process, and work their people in unreasonable ways! I called to complain about door knocking at 9pm (waking my small children, and their ignoring of our "do not disturb" signage) and the account manager answered from the HOSPITAL after his father had had a heart attack!!! I forced him to re-forward my call. What kind of company intrudes on private homes past 9pm (salesman told me they are required to knock until 9:30 which is against my county's laws, including the ignoring of our pisted signage) AND forces their employees to answer phones during medical emergencies??? 0 stars. Will NEVER purchase their product.

A bunch of crooks and liars working here. They somehow texted me out of the blue to have me resign up with them. In text communication they went ahead and signed me up for a plan without authorization. Upon seeing the charge to my credit card, I called and was on the line for 3 hours for someone to help me and listen to me! 2 months later, I am still being charged, and have not been refunded the initial charge. Thankfully my bank has stopped all payments to them. The absolute worst people to deal with, stay away and find a better security company to use.

I was a fan but after the experience we just had I will no longer choose Vivent for my home security!!! We sold our home and the new owner got monitoring through ******. We of course cancelled our account and was told we would not owe anything since the new owner now has monitoring. 2 months later we began being charged again for monitoring. We called and was told that the new owner has a new account number and did not take over our account. This now means that both the new owner and us pay for monitoring even though we dont even live in the home. How does this make sense?????? We now owe $900 to cancel. ****** has now lost a once loyal customer.

Stay way from this company! Go with *** or another provider. This Vivint initially setup for us to pay 2 separate bills starting in early 2024: Vivint for the monitor service and Citizens for over $3,000 in cameras, equipment, monthly. Early this year, a Vivint representative stopped by our house to market of Vivint's new service that will lower our two bills. He informed us that they are no longer contracted with Citizens and we would not have to worry about them anymore. We were excited. Vivint was now partnered with *******. We signed a new contract with the assumption that our bill will be lowered and we will not have to worry about Citizens again. Within three months later, Vivint ($34.50), and Fortiva ($23.98) continued to automatically charge us monthly. However, we received a letter from Citizens that we still owed them. We called Citizens and they said that Vivint has not settled our outstanding balance with Citizens ($66.50) monthly. We called Vivint to get this resolved and they said this is not their problem. We are not stuck paying for three different bills for security ******************** to our home. Please stay away from Vivint and go with ADT. We will now proceed with a lawsuit for false advertisement. My husband has already come on the verge of a massive heart attack dealing with Vivint.

I am filing this review due to unresolved issues with Vivints security service, ***eated negligence in customer support, and unjust billing practices that have now negatively impacted my credit.Over a long period, I contacted Vivint multiple times regarding our security cameras failing to capture motion or properly record incidents, despite adequate lighting and functional conditions on our end. Rather than sending a tech to assess or resolve the problem, Vivint ***eatedly mailed ***lacement ethernet ports, which did not fix the core issue.Despite having numerous trouble tickets on file, the tech issues were never resolved. As a result, we experienced TWO separate thefts on our property during this time that the cameras failed to record. These events occurred while actively paying for a security system that failed us.I continued to request support. We then asked to end our service due to the system's failure and lack of support, but our requests for assistance and cancellation were ignored. Vivint continued to charge our account for services that were never properly provided, and the account has since been sent to collections. When contacted Vivint recently, the *** acknowledged the high # of unresolved troubleshooting tickets on our account. However, because the account has now been sent to collections, we are told they are unable to assist us and are directed straight to the collections department. This experience has not only caused financial harm but has also compromised our safety and security. Based on this experience, I cannot in good faith recommend Vivint to anyone due to unethical business values. I am seeking the following resolution:Immediate removal of our account from collections A full review and refund for the months of failed service Formal acknowledgment and closure of our account without penalty I hope the Better Business Bureau can assist in resolving this matter.Sincerely,****** ****

DO NOT GO WITH VIVINT. This company is malicious and predatory, and intentionally so.Their customer service is anything but. Its designed to confuse you or prevent you from being able to cancel or end service, especially when your contract is over or in our case didnt even own the system or the house it was installed in! Vivint was charging me the previous owner AND the new owner for the same system on two accounts (the one I had and cancelled and the new one he set up). DOUBLE CHARGING! And repeated calls and emails to Vivint to get them to cancel my account went no where. They refused to cancel my account even though there was no contract, wed also paid off the system loan in full, months ****** wager that their system of bureaucracy is designed that way intentionally. I had to have my bank block Vivint from charging me, which after showing the evidence they did easily. This is probably the worst company I have ever engaged with as a customer.

This company is not trustworthy. I was overcharged for equipment that was never delivered or installed, including cameras and sensors that were supposedly part of a promotional offer. Vivint billed me for items I never received and charged my credit line without justification.Their customer service is completely unprofessional. Representatives gave inconsistent information, refused to transfer me to a manager, and avoided accountability. No matter which department you speak tocustomer service, executive support, or proactive reviewthey will delay, deflect, and try to wear you down.I experienced suspicious and repeated system failures, particularly when I left home. My app became inaccessible, and all cameras stopped recordingmultiple times. When I asked for logs or explanations, they told me I would need to involve the police and get a subpoena just to access my own system data. The billing department admitted that some charges were wrongbut never refunded the money or issued a corrected agreement. They continue to delay responses by saying Im out of the office or our back office is reviewing.Vivint does not deserve even one starthe only reason Im giving one star is because the site wont allow zero. The company uses deceitful tactics, ignores valid concerns, and provides unsafe and unreliable service. If you care about your safety, your money, and your peace of mind, do not trust Vivint.

I signed an agreement with Vivint for a home security system that included the following components: three door locks, one doorbell camera, sensors for three doors, one panel, two outdoor cameras, and two smoke detectors. At no point did the salesperson disclose that I would be financing over $5,000 in equipment through a third-party lender (Fortiva) or that my monthly payments would total $129. If that had been disclosed, I never would have agreed to the contract. The salesperson assured me I would receive equivalent or better coverage than my previous systemwhich had four cameras and a doorbell camera, all of which I owned outrightwith fewer devices. However, once installation began, it became clear this was not true. I had to pay for an additional camera that was not included in the original quote, and more equipment was added by the technician upon arrival.Less than two weeks after installation, I received a $188 bill. When I called Vivint, I was shocked to learn this included a separate loan through *******, which I was never made fully aware of. I was led to believe that after five years of monthly payments, I could cancel the contract with no further obligation. This was false. I was told I would now need to pay $1,800 just to downgrade my system or $5,000 to cancel entirely.
