      I have been trying to cancel my service as I have moved. And I am not able to get through to anyone. They put me on hold and never answer. I have emailed, and chatted, and they say I have to speak to someone. I have moved. I'm not using the service, and I can't cancel or remove my payment info.

      This company is shady at best. The salesman is not forthcoming with information or in answering questions. He was very deceptive. I have recently been charged for a smoke/co detector that I never received. They also are charging me for 5 months of an installment plan on equipment when the signed agreement was 4 months. They conveniently lost the signed form for this. I have been told by three different billing agents that I would be credited for all of this which never happened. It wasnt until the last two agents that I was informed they were unwilling to fix anything. I am beyond upset at this fraudulently ran business

      Day of install was the high point. Equipment quality along with poor first-level tech support started the downward spiral.Happen to sell the house, leaving the equipment for the buyers. I will strongly advise they do not sign up with ************************* was the pathetic, insulting, low-rent approach of a cancellation process that pushed me too far. I have had professional home security for decades, this is the most poorly managed service I have encountered.

      We have had a terrible experience with Vivint. Their sales people tell you anything you want to hear to get you to sign a contract. We told the sales person we were only interested in switching from Brinks if they could beat the price we were paying for Brinks. We agreed on a price but quickly had problems with our equipment. Our sales person kept promising free months of service to keep us from canceling. But he would never put it in writing. I asked him 3 times and he always said he would email me the promised adjustment. When we signed up I told the salesman I didnt think we were still under contract with ****** but I needed to check. He assured me if I still had a contract that Vivint would pay it off up to $4,000. The next day I found out I owed a little over $400. He told me that it wouldnt be a problem and that Vivint would send a debit card in the mail for the remaining balance. A couple weeks later I asked about the card and he told me that Vivint doesnt buy out contracts any longer but in order to keep us as customers, he would take care of it. Right about the time we were about to go past our 30 day trial, our salesman stopped contacting us. I called Vivint to cancel and they told me it was too late. I dont have all the salesmans promises in writing so I dont expect all the promises to be honored, but I have several text messages where he said he would pay off our contract and give us 4 free months of service for our troubles. I showed the messages to Vivint and they refuse to let us out of our contract or pay off our ****** contract. We are beyond frustrated with Vivint and the shady salesperson and wanted to warn others to get everything they promise you in writing before signing anything.

      This company lacks customer service. I had a contract for 5 years and after multiple poor customer service issues wished to end my contract. This company passes you through multiple scripted sales people all offering to improve your experience. It took me over two hours just to get service cancelled. The offers would not stop as one person said they were concerned for my safety. Had they concerned about my safety they wouldnt have directed me to you tube for self help and not follow up to see if problems were solved. They should have noticed I have had zero usage of my cameras for over 2 out of the five years. Their high pressed we want to help you just reeks of keep paying us . I should have had my service cancelled as requested I honored my contract. I paid for the equipment. I could go on and on but it would just be a repeat of their poor customer service and lack of respect for what the customer needs or wants. Save yourself a headache and do not use them.

      IS THERE AN OPTION TO LEAVE NO STARS ON THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY. I RECENTLY SOLD MY HOUSE AND CALLED TO CANCEL THE SERVICES I INFORMED THE FIRST ***** THAT I SOLD MY HOUSE SHE TRANSFERRED ME TO ANOTHER *****. THE 2ND ***** ASKED ME WHY I WAS CANCELING I GAVE THE SAME ANSWER SHE THEN ASKED IF I WANTED TO TRANSFER THE ACCOUNT TO THE NEW OWNER, I SAID IF THEY WANT THE SERVICES THEY CAN CALL THEMSELVES, THEN I WAS TRANSFERRED TO A 3RD ***** GIVING THE SAME ANSWER AND I WAS ASKED ABOUT MOVING THE SERVICES TO MY CURRENT HOME I SAID I LIVE IN AN APARTMENT THAT DOESNT HAVE THE NEED FOR 4 CAMERAS AND A SKY PANEL. I THEN WAS TRANSFERRED TO ***** #4 TO GIVE ME THE CANCELATION POLICY AND THAT MY REQUEST WILL BE GRANTED IN 30 DAYS AND THAT IM STILL REPSONSIBLE FOR THIS MONTHS PAYMENT AND THAT I NEED TO SEND AN EMAIL IN WRITING STATING I WANT THE SERVICES TO BE CANCELED. I FLIPPED OUT I SAID I DIDNT SIGN ANYTHING OF THAT NATURE I SAID I DONT LIVE AT THAT ADDRESS ANYMORE AND THE SERVICES NEED TO BE CANCELED ASAP. I WAS THEN TRANSFERRED TO ***** #5 STATING THAT HE UNDERSTANDS MY FRUSTRATION AND THAT HE WILL TRY TO RESOLVE THIS PROBLEM. ON HOLD FOR ***** MINUTES I WAS TOLD THAT THE SERVICES WILL REMAIN ON FOR 30 DAYS!! AND I WAS SENT AN A DOCUMENT WITH A FORGED SIGNATURE DATED 7/11/2020 BUT MY SERVICES WAS INSTALLED AND ACTIVATED 6/2018. DONT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL

      I signed up for Vivint and stopped installation because I was unhappy with how the installation would be completed. So I immediately sent the cancelation request to the email before the required period as per the written agreement that I was due to sign before installation.After 5 hours on hold and following my written agreements. Finally the last person I spoke to on the 4th phone call to get my cancelation completed. Manage to handle it in less than 3 minutes.The first callr representative I spoke to on the last day. Told me they spoke to cancelations and that there was an error and the cancelation would not be able to be done which was a lie. I work in a business where contracts are signed tobe everyday and have to do proper disclosures all the time. Vivint tried to lie to me multiple times before letting me cancel my order that was not installed. I cannot imagine what that looks like for people who have completed installation. The representative that was also at my home that was informed that I no longer wanted installation services and after being told that I did not want contact still made multiple attempts of contact. It is a shame that a business as predatory as Vivint can be allowed to stay in business and still be an accredited BBB. How does a business that after I look up have a average of 1.6 stars on BBB.

      I purchased my Vivint system last year 2024. The sales guy gave me a good story, and was very friendly. I knew he was working on his commission because they don't give a c*** how your day is or all the ** they try to sell you to get paid. Anyways, He gave me a good line told me I will only have ONE bill and told me how much my bill would be every month. Ok, going forward I received a bill in the mail for these companies ******* and a week later Vivint. So I'm scratching my head as to why I have TWO bills when the sales *** advised I would only have one bill. I didn't cancel because per their policy I will be responsible for all the fees and billing for services I didn't even use. PLEASE DO NOT ******* THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!!!!. I wish I would have stayed with ADT. I wish there was a lawsuit for this company due to all the scams they present. Now I'm stuck with a alarm system I do not want. I want my refund and I want them to come and get their system. I get all these calls, emails and voicemails from both companies even when I pay my bill up. It's just too much. They need to be shut down and refund me and the other people their money back for FRAUD and horrible service and customer service.

      This company has constantly overbilled my friends for non payment. They call them multiple times daily and even @ 5am when they were sleeping. Which is highly illegal.

      Former customer of 11 years here. Their customer service was EXCELLENT years ago. Since **** acquisition in 2023, their service and tactics have really declined (they are no longer transparent, customer service is outsourced overseas, and there is a consistent inability to get "the right department" on the phone). It's both incredible and sad. Highly recommend people leave Vivint and look elsewhere.
