      Please read before buying or getting into any contract wjth vivint. Understand I have had vivint since 2019 and they used to be absolutely awesome with customer service and replacing ANYTHING that wouldn't work fully or correctly. I talked extremely highly of them for years and recommended everyone to get vivint because they used to be so good and gave so many ************ that was the case until they went to complete c*** in the end of 2020. That's when we talked to people that didn't care about you and your equipment. How everything was always your fault and you were always the first to be blamed. They never once accepted a single bit of responsible for their own equipment. The whole reason I snapped and even came here was because for the past 2 months we have had a thermostat issue and our house will get to 80 plus degrees and when we called for help they wouldn't do a one for one swap and get it fixed and I now have to talk to other companies to troubleshoot and fix their bs. They have become a joke for a security system and their software could have been done better by a 5 year old who plays fortnight. Yall be safe and look into ADT security.

      Garbage company. Upgraded my cameras but never provided an invoice and are trying to charge me for a dvr recorder that I already purchased. The crazy part is the new cameras store their data internally and don't need the DVR. Stay away from this company at all costs.

      Would give zero stars. We had a nice family friend who worked for vivint and trusted him to set us up with what we needed. Well. Our install guy came out. Left a hole in our wall and installed things in places without our consent and things we didnt know we were getting that now we have to pay for. Our cameras are constantly going out and all they tell us is to unplug and plug back in. Weve also talked to people about getting things like the recording device but nobody ever followed up about that. Theyre all talk but never put anything in writing and then youre left with bad service and a contract youre screwed by because they didnt let you actually understand it before flipping through for signatures and standing there awkwardly waiting for you to hurry up and sign. I just want out. Our experience has been the worst.

      I am trying to cancel the service I have called 3 times they give me a dum excuses to no cancel, today I chat with someone and guess what?. I have to wait until Monday another excuse, yesterday around 11 am I called and they told me that going to send me a email to process to cancel today is Saturday 3:30 pm and still I have not received any email.

      My contract (5 long years) ended. I called about 2 months prior to talk about options including continuing, or just completely being done. I was informed once my contract ended, there is nothing else I need to do. That was a lie. The day after my contract expired, I received a call, asking if I would like to extend my contract, which I declined, and then spent the next hour on the phone trying to cancel said ended contract. As they require you to physically cancel your contract despite it being over. I sent the email as informed to do. I was told it would take 30 days. It took 35 days. My account was deactivated on 7/12, which lost all use of the in-home app which controlled my thermostat (which I did ask if I would be able to still use that, and I was informed I could) and the panel that continued to beep every 30 seconds because my account was deactivated. The only solution was to take the battery out of the panel. THEN receive a bill in the mail for service from 7/7-8/6 despite my account being deactivated on 7/12 and requesting over 30 days prior. They are a very shady company

      This company is terrible! I have spent 2 weekends waiting for their technicians to come for my scheduled install appointments. Their technician text me at the end of the 4 hour window for the first appointment I was given to tell me hed be an hour late. I couldnt wait any longer so I canceled. When I called to reschedule for the following weekend I was promised multiple times that my technician would be here between 8 and noon today 7/15/2023. By 11 am I hadnt heard anything so I called customer service. After waiting on hold for 40 min their customer service representative informed me that my work order wasn’t filled out correctly so my appointment was canceled. Never got an email or call or text about the cancelation. I have now spent 8 1/2 waiting for their technicians to install my already paid for equipment.

      If I could give them 0 stars I would. The representative that came and knocked on our door (Michael H****) is a liar. We invited him in and he lied to us to our faces he told us we had 30 days to cancel our service if we werent happy with our service and when I called to cancel since the service was terrible, i was told by everyone including the supervisor that I only had 3 days to do so. They said it was basically our word against his. They told me to get proof of it in writing or to get him to admit to it and that they would honor it but then Michael said he didnt recall saying it and that he couldnt talk due to being in the hospital ER. Tried to communicate with him after, only to find out he blocked my number. Save yourself the LIES and the headache and avoid this company like the plague they are. They will come into your house and lie to you to your face and then block you when you confront them about it

      I cancelled 3 times in 1 days since vivint stated it takes 24 hrs and it’s still not cancelled . I sent all the info in the trial period which was ontime and they are keeping it active to charge and don’t return customer money they took out form my Acct I want my $849 back in my Acct worst alarm company

      Frustrating! I have no problem with Vivint itself as the cameras and system is wonderful. It is the app I have a problem with there's always some kind of issue and the main one being that half the time I can't get on fast enough and by the time I do that's considered history I need to know what's going on in the present time not the past. When one issue fixes itself then here comes another issue Vivint needs to allow us to view cameras on our computers/laptops I'm just about ready to cancel. And now the latest problem is the rewind button within the app that allows you to view all your events of the day keeps disappearing I've had to call customer service four times now seems to happen about once every 2 weeks I find that pretty annoying. I thought Vivint was supposed to be one of the top notch companies evidently I'm wrong if I were you I would steer clear the only reason why I haven't canceled as of yet is it cost me over $3,000 for the equipment and that's not refundable so it's not easy to go to another company and buy everything all over again
