      On 5/13/24, a Vivint representative stopped by our house and asked if he could give me a quote about adding a floodlight camera to our existing Vivint system. He proceeded, and said that adding a floodlight camera to our existing plan would bring our monthly total up to about $88. I responded that this didn't sound accurate because our monthly bill was already $82. He then called in to Vivint, and asked them to verify. We did this in front of our Vivint doorbell camera, so Vivint has access to the video of this call. The Vivint rep on the phone confirmed that if we added a camera, our monthly total would be just over $88 per month, and that they would add the cost of the camera to our existing finance package. I verified that there would be no additional fees for equipment and/or installation and was told that there would not be. Both reps commented that since we had been with Vivint for so long, there must have been promos available on our account.I reviewed the paperwork and texted the rep that the paperwork did not clearly distinguish whether the equipment was being financed or whether it was being paid for up front. I expressed concern that we would be charged the full equipment fee on our next Vivint bill. He assured me that this was not the case and that our next bill would be about $88. I have screenshots of this message. We agreed to the installation.On 6/18/24, we received a charge from Vivint in the amount of $840.60. The bill indicated that $749.97 of that amount due was for the floodlight camera and for an associated installation fee. At no point between the installation date and 6/18/24 did anyone from Vivint contact us. We have reached out to Vivint multiple times and have been essentially told that there is nothing they can do. We have requested that Vivint come remove the floodlight camera and refund us for this transaction. They have said that they will do so, though it has not happened yet.

      this is a scam , they sent people speaking spanish and lying tk costumers , i try to cancel , didnt say anything about 5 year contract

      We had our home security system upgraded in April. The technician who installed the system claimed our ceiling fan lights could be controlled remotely and said he ordered the lights. After two attempts to followup with the tech directly, Ive made three phone calls to Support, ************* and Customer Loyalty.The Customer Loyalty agreed to have another tech come to our house to reclaim the equipment that cannot be used to process a refund. The appointment was made for 6/17/24 weeks ago yet upon the day of the appointment the tech no-showed and cancelled the appointment.Upon receiving the cancellation, I contacted Support again only to be transferred to 3 different reps, all seemingly passing me off and not providing support.After being transferred for the fourth time, Ive been waiting for them to review the documentation from my previous calls to figure where they made mistakes.Looking back, I wish we never upgraded our Vivint system and shopped around for something more reliable and responsive.Vivint has become the worst customer support and service experience I have ever had in my life!

      Be careful signing up with this company. I paid off my equipment and have had their service for almost 6 years- I didnt realize I was paying $50/month and not ever using the system except to unlock and lock the front door. I have talked with 5 different people today and been on the phone for almost an hour and still cannot get them to just cancel my service. I have never had this hard a time cancelling a service that I was a loyal customer with for 6 years!

      I feel this business only in for the money. I had this service for over a year or a little less and it's constantly updating where it doesn't record anything while it's updating....updates happens every week or every other week. If there's any intruder happen at the same time....good luck...I've called technical service line and had to service it myself (with a walk through, basically im working for them) or have to schedule an appointment for techs to come. Constant update where I got frustrated to the point of canceling the service. Now it feels like they try to extort me. I'm not paying another 4yrs of this stupid service. Now they ruining my credit.....Do not get the service you'll get played into there agreement. You can cancel within 2 weeks or a little more less than a month...it will seem nice and all but after the canceling period is over It BECOME S***** AND YOU'RE STUCK

      Canceled before end of trial period.Still waiting for equipment to be picked up.I emailed the signed notice of cancelation prior to the cutoff date/time.Integration of other apps had a charge I wasnt aware of, salesperson did not make me aware of this fee nor did it ever work properly - said MyQ was added but never allowed me to work garage from the Vivint app, Cameras going off for a person lingering at 2am on driveway - was a pile of gravel that was there before the install. Then alert that a vehicle was on my driveway - the same one that had been parked there since before the install.I hope the citizens financing gets canceled as well since I canceled Vivint but I keep reading horror stories that it Doesnt.

      Will absolutely never do business with Vivint, ever. Sold our home and followed all of the instructions given to me via phone and email. Paid off equipment. Sent email. Spoke with customer service agent. It has now been over 30 days and account is still not canceled. **************** continually transferring me. Ridiculous. Yet, I have received 10 emails and text messages about referring a friend. Ha!!! NEVER.

      I couldn't agree more with the reviews, if a 0 star was possible, that would have been my rating. I've paid for an upgraded camera pro that started acting up the very next week after installation. I added an extra priority technician s to my service but here I am, months later still on the phone troubleshooting for about an 1 hour and haven't had a technician to resolve the issue yet. Their next step would have been to send a new doorbell camera for ME to replace. I'm canceling the service as I'm writing this. STAY AWAY.

      After 18 months with 13 months of monthly payments (started Jan 2023), I was fed up with VIVINT not sending me a passcode that was created by my ex-spouse and she used her email address which I don't know...they have promised me my passcode to be sent to the address on file which was verified...this apparently is the only way to cancel my subscription...18 months? After 13 months if payments, ai told the bank to decline anymore withdrawals...all of a sudden, I get some correspondence from them, a bill...within 2 weeks of non-payment in Feb 2024, I have received daily collection calls and I have blocked them only to have a VM left on my phone...the last time I talked to a (supposed) supervisor, was on 5/24/2024, again with the promise of sending my passcode to cancel my subscription in the mail, still no passcode...I have spoke with someone every month since Jan 2023...now with the collections, what do I do? I told them on the last call to cancel and send what I owe to my credit score peeps, I don't care, I have great credit...but of course, they can't cancel it because I don't have a passcode...beyond insane that this company is still around...
