On 5/26/23 at 3:58PM, I paid to have a package shipped from *******, ** to ************, IA for 2 day delivery being that following Monday was Memorial Day and delivery was scheduled for May 31st, on Wednesday. I track the package between May 31st and June 10th, which reflected, "unfortunately, there is no information on this package" or something similar. I called to file a complaint, as this was shipped at the Winchester FedEx office. I was told to call FedEx and file a claim on Monday, June 12th. Surprise, on Monday...information, "ALLEGING" that the package was delivered is in the system. The recipient did not receive it and to make matters worse, the company FedEx'd a package to me around May 24th, I have never received it, but their tracking shows delivered. Apparently FedEx is in trouble due to the pilot strike, but stealing customers money and not delivering to stay afloat is not a way out. I want my money and payment for the death certificate I purchased and must replace to send to the insurance company. I'm ringing the alarm on this company.Business Response

I shipped a small lathe, well packed in a custom crate, from CA to GA. ***** weighed 135# and was 40" x 22" x 13". Upon arrival, recipient discovered motor had broken away from the mounting board, destroying motor and a couple of parts of the lathe. FedEx denied claim saying that it was improperly packaged. This was shipped through ***** and I can't get into the claim to review, upload more photos. and adjust the claim amount. Tracking # ************, case C-110096630.This item was secured in the crate with a 2" by 6" brace holding the lathe and mounting board in place. It could withstand normal and rough handling. Clearly, the crate was allowed to fall from a standing position onto its lid, which shocked the motor away from the mounting board. This to me is mishandling, and I believe FedEx should bear some responsibility for the damages. The item was insured for $1250, and it will cost me $305 for a new motor and lathe parts of $115, total of $420. I also had to pay reverse shipping of $221. Initial claim amount was for $970, but the damage to the main body of the lathe was less than I anticipated.Business Response

I paid $29.01 to FedEx to ship package from my address to the Iowa State Fair, Photography Salon, *******************************************************************. (tracking# ************) The package was sent Monday, June 5, 2023 and was promised to be delivered Wednesday, June 7, 2023. The package has never been delivered. Each day I receive an email saying my package is being delayed and they will attempt to deliver the next business day. The excuse is no one there. On 5/19/2023 I shipped a Gourmet Microwave via Fedex using tracking number ************, I also purchased the extra declared insurance for $1616 (value of microwave). The microwave arrived damaged on 5/25/2023 and was refused by the recipient in ********, *****. I received the microwave back and it was indeed damaged on the bottom metal case (appears to be dropped hard). The shipment was well packed as shown by pictures. I filed a claim on 5/30/23 and received an email with denial and they wanted me to get an estimate to repair the microwave. Unfortunately there is nowhere to repair this damage. FedEx left a very large heavy box in my garage--this package should have gone to:*************************** ******************************************************************* The tracking number is illegible. I have made numerous calls to FedEx and they say that without a tracking number they will not pick up the package. I am going to start charging FedEx a daily storage fee. As noted, the package was meant for someone else and misdelivered. The tracking number is ILLEGIBLE. This does not absolve FedEx of its responsibility. My package was supposed to be delivered on 8/14/22 when I would be back in town. Fed-Ex asked to move up the delivery date because the package arrived to their warehouse early. I was out of town so I said no. They agreed over the phone to deliver the package when I arrived home. When I got back home on the 14th they said I must pick up the package or they would ship it back to the warehouse. I rented a car to pick up the product. Their customer service reps on ******* continue saying I directed the product to their warehouse and therefore I had to pick it up. That is not true. I had no control over it arriving at their warehouse early or how the delivery would be processed. I purchased from ******* but ******* turned over the delivery duties to FedEx. FedEx was negligent, not *******. FedEx kept the package and made me come get it. FedEx profited from the agreement with ******* but did not perform their duties. I WOULD LIKE TO SEE A COPY OF THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN FEDEX AND WALMART. FedEx delivered a package with about $250 worth of auto parts in it. The parts were destroyed, when they delivered the package they slammed it down in front of my garage door denting my door and the side aluminum.At this point to replace the door is nearly $6,000, they first said someone would call back in 24 hours that didnt happen so I called back then they said 48 hours. They are blowing me off. I will be filing a police report for criminal damage to property if they do not respond ASAP. I have it on camera as well.
