We are still waiting on Solar Momentum to finish their install. We are not waiting on the electrical company to come out and do their inspection, but prior to the electrical companys inspection. I keep on reaching out to our rep ******** but he doesnt know whats going on either. My wife and I are about to hire a lawyer to get this resolved. I just cant believe that they would street a member of the armed forces like this, especially since Im about to deploy.Business Response

The gentleman who gave me a call yesterday the 15th of November said they will get back to me within 2 weeks after the inner workings of what is best in my situation is completed. We have found a resolution for the problem at hand is is currently in the process of being resolved. I am extremely thankful that Momentum Solar has people working there at the executive level that really do care about their clients.

Company failed inspection for electrical portion install. They know they failed as the company needs to have a representative present at time of inspection. They did not inform me or ANYONE that the install failed. Upon calling multiple times they kept telling me they will contact ********** to have them come out and move forward with meter full well knowing they cant bc the inspection failed. After calling for days I get the poor answer of sorry we are changing some positions. Not my problem. Anyhow, they come fix the failed issues on Oct 27th and Ive been in contact with the company everyday since to inquire a new inspection date so that the job may move forward with Eversource doing the meter portion so we may power on the unit. Everyday I keep getting the run around with supervisors and techs stating we will check email threads or its someone else job. Its literally a call to the city building **** to schedule a date. Takes less than 5 min to do although at this point it seems retaliatory considering *** called them out a few times and have reported them prior for poor ethic and workmanship. So here we are again, filing yet another complaint on a company that cant seem to get the left foot to move in front of the rightBusiness Response

This business cant seem to get out of its own way. I had called multiple times in regards to having Eversource come install meter and momentum even pushed to make that happen, full well knowing the inspection failed as a rep **** be present at time of inspection. Days go by until I have to do momentums job and they finally state oh sry we are going through staff changes. As a customer that is not my issue. Then I get the run around for Days!! We will check the email again for the internship time until I say Im filing a new complaint as I can have a 5 yr old make a ************************************************ 3 min. They continue to give the run around and after having to do their job for them. They want to be like. We reached out. You only decided to stop retaliating bc I formally made a complaint so Id like to keep an active open file until inspection passes and my power is on. Otherwise momentum runs you in circles for weeks with wrong answers

On August 13, 2022 we had a sales representative named ******* come to our home to discuss the possibility of installing solar panels. Within the 1 hour conversation he asked us for our banking information to begin the process, ran our credit prior to advising us he would be doing so on his ipad, he explained how a minimum of 5 trees would have to be removed from our property (that their company was willing to pay), he also explained how we would be in touch with someone that would be coming to assess the property. After what seemed like a month of multiple "inspectors" coming to look at our property, no one was giving us a direct line of open communication. We tried reaching out to ******* several times and he would never return our calls. We reached out to ******** to see if anyone had any insight on this company, to our surprise a local dad reached out and gave us his contact at the company. Well, needless to say, we have been literally been given the run-a-around from over 15 people at this company. No one will return our calls. When we call, we get put into voicemail. They pulled permits on our home more than a month ago and now they are nowhere to be found. We would like to cancel this as they are not being truthful with us. They have been avoiding us and no one seems to return our phone calls after numerous attempts!Business Response

I am rejecting this response because:We still have not heard back from Momentum Solar on anything that they discussed on their response to you.We actually just sent correspondence to Momentum today starting that we have not heard back from them and that we would like a response from someone no later than Wednesday, 11/23/2022.They have been impossible to communicate with! We are literally at our **** end with this company. For over 4 months they have been jerking us around. All we want is for them to cancel the contract and withdraw the permits they obtained for our drawing. We want no monies owed for this

Over the last 2.5 years we had Momentum install a solar system in 2 parts, the final installation happened 8/19/22. The whole project is worth about 100k USD. The installation required a new roof which we did via Momentum. This led to various issues from nails coming through the ceiling to heavy condensation and tar smell, the first 2 items got fixed, the tar smell remains when it gets hot in the summer. No solution other than it should get better...As for customer service - nobody answers any of the main phone numbers, my only contact is the sales guy who is trying to support.After 'completion' of the 2nd. install they turned off my whole system, not just the new panels, which I found out after 5 weeks when I tried to record my TRECS and lost about 2.5 MWH of generation (about 300 USD for power and TRECS). System was turned on when I alerted our sales rep. ** then attempted to get the inspection stickers or proof that the inspection had been successful and I held back last payment, but was not able to get any information via my many e-mails or phone calls (no answer). Instead they put a lean against my property. No answer on the collections phone number either. Our sales rep then was able to have a 'customer service' rep call me who took down my complaint and confirmed the inspection was done (still no proof). I paid the outstanding amount minus the 300 USD. While looking at my system we found out that all new panels and one old one are not working (inverters not reporting). I still have the lean against me and no resolution.Needless to say this was a terrible customer experience and the only positive part is that the sales rep really tried to help.Business Response

I was sold a solar system for my home on June 14th, 2022. It took several months to get the system installed due to some delays within momentum and the permitting process. It was partially installed on 9/20/2022. They were supposed to finalize the installation (I still need two breakers installed) at the time of inspection. I have contacted the company numerous times via e-mail, and telephone. Customer service takes over 30 minutes to answer, and I have been hung up on more than once. When I was able to talk to a representative they assured me that they would look get the remaining installation and inspection scheduled and follow up with me the following day. Nobody ever called. I again tried reaching out to the sales **** ******* manager, customer service, etc with no response from anyone. Then, randomly on 10/24/22 someone named ***** reached out to me via e-mail to schedule the final inspection, and I agreed to be home 10/28 for the inspection. I also asked about the installation of the remaining breakers, but did not receive a response. I took the day off of work and nobody showed up. I tried twice to follow up with ***** and never received a response. I now have panels installed on my roof, with penetrating anchors, for over six weeks that are of no use, and the company is no longer responding to phone calls, text messages, or e-mails. I'm basically stuck. At one point the sales rep that sold me the system responded to one of my messages and said that he'd been let go, along with most of the other staff from the ****** office. It seems that this company may be sinking with no ability to honor their commitments. I would avoid this company like the plague. This has been a horrible experience and I don't know where to go from here, other than hire an attorney to try and get this sorted out.Business Response

We purchased solar panels from Momentum Solar about three years ago. The salesman told us that Momentum Solar would remove and replace the panels one time when it came time for us to replace our roof. That was a big selling point for us. Well, it looks like my home will need a new roof. I called Momentum Solar to look into making arrangements for this procedure. In my conversation, I was informed that I will need a coupon of some sort to get the service.This is the first I am hearing of this. The salesman never mentioned any coupon. It was not in any documents we got from the company. As far we knew, it was the policy of the company to do this. I have been on the phone with Momentum a number of times. Apparently it was a promotion to edge out competition as they expanded into *******. They acknowledge that they were running this promotion during the time we bought the panels. So they know that this should be part of the terms of the sale. If the promotion was tied to a coupon, the mistake was theirs and not ours since we had never seen or heard of it. But they do not seem to have any plans to honor the words of their salesman or recognize their mistake. As far as I can tell, they do not even have any record of this part of the arrangement or seem to keep any records of it. That is awfully handy for them. I wonder how many of my neighbors also bought from Momentum Solar and are some day going to have to replace their roof only to be rudely awakened by learning that this is an empty promise. Momentum came out several months ago and installed the solar panels. The following week the electrical panel was installed on the side of the house. We received a denial letter from the city indicating the electrical box should not be installed over a outside water faucet is best we understand. We provided this information to momentum. We have called numerous times, left messages and sent emails with no response. We finally ended up speaking with the assistant project manager. She said she would relay the information to the project manager but to give them a week. The week has passed and still no information on what is needed to complete this project. I want a person to come out and tell us what is needed to complete this project be able to give us a resolution time frame..no more excuses.Business Response

My wife and I research several companies to add solar panels to our house. After detailed research we chose momentum in late November 2020. Times were alittle crazy as we were dealing with COVID so we understood there was going to be lag time. Unfortunately this time has turned into almost 2 years of panels being on my roof but not connected. Additionally the finance company they work with continues to charge us monthly $218 since January of 2022. It is a monthly struggle to get reimbursement, which we have received, but only for the first couple of months. I haven't received a check for some time now and nobody calls us back from customer service. And if I stop paying this ruins my credit.Business Response

Momentum has been in contact with ******************. We have let him know that all paperwork has been finalized, and that we have submitted all documents to the utility company for them to swap out the meter. Once the meter is swapped out, this will allow us to turn the system on.
