We got a notification on the app in January that 80% of our panels were not producing electricity. We called Momentum and they said they were going to try within the next ***** hours to remotely reboot the system and if it didn't work then they would let ** know. A week later, it still wasn't working and there was no call from Momentum. We called them and they said they would get service and call ** back when we had a service date. A few weeks later, there was no call so we called them back and they said there is no service in the state of ** and they would have to have someone out of state come fix it. At this point I asked to talk to a supervisor and they said they would have one call me back. We called back in the beginning of April asking to speak to a supervisor and no one was available and that they were still working with someone to get it scheduled. Called again today the customer service stated that no one in service has even looked at the request and no one has touched our account since we called back in April. At this point we are paying the full cost of our electricity bill and the loan payment for our solar panels. I would also like to mention that we were told after a year, they would have someone look at our bill and check if we were producing enough. When we bought the panels they said our APS bill would be $35 or a credit depending on the year. This hasn't been the case and we are paying more for electricity (solar and APS) then when we didn't have solar panels. At this point we just want them to take their solar panels and cancel our loan.

They sold me a fraudlent contract, they stated I would get a tax incentive, stated that my power bill would go down, they told me that a lein would not be placed on my home which was all lies. They also stated that my energy bill from *********** would go down and I would only pay a connector fee of 15$, the representative that sold me the product quit right after she received the commission from my sale. after calling this company numerous times to find a way out, they stated that they would be in contact with me and never were. After the contract period had ended, they decided to call me and discuss my concerns, after I had no option to back out. Now a year later I am still receiving a bill from *********** for MORE than what I paid before. I filed my taxes and did not recieve anything for my panels. Now come to find out my bill for the Solar Panel is going up as well. I am an elderly woman living on social security living paycheck to paycheck. I have contacted this company on numerous occassions the past year of this nightmare and all they say is "ill have someone reach out to you", and i never recieve a resolution. I have contacted this company over ***** times throughout this nightmare and have gotten ZERO help. My neighbors have also decided to go with Momentum and are finding themselves in the same mess that I am in. This is a fraudlent company that hires inexperinced people to sell their products. Not only did she not review the contract with me when signing, she just pointed where to sign and since i TRUSTED her and her company, I took her word for it. Come to find out after the contract she quit and was not able to help me.

met Momentum Solar at the ******************** April 4 23. We were told that *** gives away free solar if your electric bill averages $100+. O.M. showed up 4/8/23 to go through leasing presentation. He basically said that it would cost us $70 per month. He said that we should run my credit & get an engineer out to see if house qualifies. I said we are not ready. He said just sign some stuff so we can get him out but you're under no obligation to go with it. It was late (almost 11pm) so we said ok. As long as we would not owe anything. He said no worry. I did some calculations next ******** did not save as much as he said we would as he left out ************ hookup fee. So monthly savings would be minimal. Not worth it for us. We had just moved in the year before. I reached out to O.M. to let him know to cancel the engineer visit because I didn't want to waste the time and money since we were not ready to do it. O.M.said let's see how the visit goes. Not to worry. We can cancel after the visit. I was trying to be nice. Anyway got talked into the engineer visit. Told O.M. once again we are not interested. May want to buy panels down the line but not now. Spent hours on the phone with him using more aggressive sales tactics. This was late March, early April. He offered to quote for buying them. I said no don't waste your time. He insisted. I said he will be disappointed when I say no. Anyway he calls the next day & starts aggressively selling leasing again. Didn't get a quote at all for panels to buy ( not that I wanted them). Spent 45 minutes with him on phone & then said I think you have been nice & great ************* want to be an a****** customer (to which he replies "too late"). Said to him we don't want solar, cancel. Had to contact them again this week & spoke with Mgr G. to cancel. He said we will be charged. I'm exhausted abt the lies, the tactics, the emotional anxiety I have suffered over this. And they want to charge me for my distress!!!

In **** we purchased solar panels with the hopes of reducing our electric bill. For the first 16 months we didnt experience any issues then in March our electric bill increased. We had to pay for an electric bill as well as our solar panel bill which is financed for 25 years. I notified Momentum to inform them of a potential issue with the solar panels because of the increase in my bill. A technician was sent out to correct the issue. Momentum reimbursed for 2 months of electricity. We received another bill which was higher than it should be. I contacted Momentum again who sent a technician out to fix the issue which was not corrected this continued to be an issue for several more months. I reached out to Momentum every months regarding my electric bill. In January Momentum requested I send my electric bill for the past 12 months which I did. I continued to reach out to Momentum regarding fixing whatever issue that was going in with the solar panels and reimbursement for the panels not producing solar needed to power my home. I followed up each month and was told they were working on it and they would get back with me. When I did get a call back I was offered no more than 2 months reimbursement. which was a courtesy, because it was not their fault the panels were not producing power and I would need to contact Enphase. That was the first time I ever heard of another company being liable. If that was the issue why wasnt I told that a year ago. My contract is with Momentum not Enphase and I just want to be compensated for the months the panels were not functioning properly which is which is about 9 months. My solar panels have a 25 year warranty and Momentum needs to stand behind there products.

The customer experienced a grid event though their utility company. The event was through the utility and was no fault of Momentum but caused the customers solar equipment to become inoperable. Momentum sent a technician to replace the equipment. Between the replacement of the materials and labor, the cost of the repair was $3,080 which Momentum covered and did not charge the customer. As an additional courtesy, Momentum reimbursed the customer for two months of solar payments. We have let the customer know that Momentum is not responsible for covering bills that were due to a grid event through their utility company, and that the payments we reimbursed were done as a courtesy to the customer.

      Complaint: 19983261

I am rejecting this response because: The issue was not with my electric/ utility company it was due to a defective part that was installed by Momentum Solar. The company Enphase is allegedly the manufacturer of the defective part according to Momentum Solar. If Momentum Solar doesnt feel the are responsible why was I asked to provide a copy of my electronic bills for the pass year? My contract states that any repairs made to the panels will be covered at no charge. Momentum did reimburse for the first two months of the panels not working but this issue continued for almost a year resulting in me having to pay a utility bill as well as my solar panel bill which is financed for a total of 25 years.

Momentum researched the part that *********** alleges was defective and we have spoken to our ******* service manager. The ******* service manager has confirmed that this was a grid event that caused the issue and was not an equipment failure on Momentums side. Momentum would like to reiterate that we fixed the issue at no cost to the customer in a case when the customer would have been responsible to pay, and we reimbursed two months of payments as a courtesy to the customer.

We have had our solar panels installed by Momentum solar since December. We already have our smart meter, and are waiting for them to come out to recharge the system. I called last Thursday. I was told I would get a response by Friday. I called Friday and was told they still havent responded, to callback Monday. I just called today Tuesday and they gave me a different response that we had to wait for the power company to come change out our electric meter which does not need to be changed so Im still getting the runaround just need the system to be turned on. *** already made two payments and still nothing yet.

I was lied to from Momentum Solar about everything! I was promised over and over that once the system is turned on, they would let it charge for 2 months before taking the first payment. This is to make sure the system works and that it's producing enough power. Well they took the first payment the same day that the system was turned on! I did not get the first two months as promised! So now I have Momentum Solar and *********** charging me at the same time! **** is really trying to scam because they take payments ahead of time not in arrears. So they are trying to charge me for something that hasn't even been used.

However, Momentum does take pride in our customer's experience, and we have sent the customer reimbursement for his first two solar loan payments. We were unable to reach ********************** to let him know, but he will be receiving the check via mail within 10 business days depending on USPS.

Hello,We signed a contract to get solar panels from Momentum Solar on September 7, 2022. There were initial reviews and a design sent to us, which we approved later in September. They scheduled the first install in January, but didn't finish in one day. The employees couldn't tell us when someone would be back. They sent a couple more people in February to finish. During that portion, they completed the electrical work on the panel in our laundry room. There are multiple holes in our wall. They ensured us that someone would be in contact soon to repair and repaint the walls, as well as schedule the inspections for the system. We haven't heard from anyone since they left. I have called the support number and written multiple emails, but our salesperson no longer works for the company and no one will call me back. Our salesperson told us that we wouldn't pay anything on the solar panels until we were using them, but Dividend Solar Financial (the company that owns the loan) is charging us on April 22. One of the support people I spoke with said that they will start charging two months after the install is complete, whether we're able to use them or not. She also said that she can see that there is a pending revision, but couldn't see the details about what needs to be updated or an estimated resolution date. She confirmed someone would call soon, but I haven't heard anything. I cannot pay the solar panel bills and my electric bill, and don't have any information on how long I'll be stuck paying both. This seems completely unethical, if not illegal. I asked for a copy of the original contract, but no one has responded to that either. I would give anything at this point to have them take it all back and forget it.

Signed contract to install solar - August 2022 Signed off on design 10/14/2022 Was told approx. 2 day install.First day of install was 1/10/2023 - showed up with a new design that was not approved. - I was told that I could except the new design or restart the process, reluctantly I chose to proceed.Came back approx. one week later to complete- completed roof work but didn't finish electrical work.Over the next few months they occasionally sent someone out to do an hour or so of work. Each time the installer would complain how what was previously done was wrong and they would need to fix and didn't have the manpower for such a big job. Many phone calls, a few no shows, they committed to having a team here to finish the project on 4/14 (which was 4 weeks away at the time). Took day off work to be here and they no call no showed.Placed calls for the last three days and they say someone will call me back. - No call backs. I called again this morning and was just told that they are behind in CT work and they will be calling to reschedule a date for completion. I do not have the patients to wait on them anymore. At this point I want the system removed as they cannot /will not finish. I would like to get another company to install a system as this company refuses to call back or meet the established deadlines.
